I am not a Verizon customer but my friend who is has asked me to help him research 'candybar' style phones.

The SLVR seems very average and the Chocolate feels cheapy. Any other candybar lovers use either of these and enjoy the picture messaging features specifically on them?

Or even the LG VX-9400 maybe?

Wow $20.00 a month unlimited text messages to anyone for the Family plan. That seems to be a great upgrade. It is offered at VW web sight as part of the plan and not a add on as of today. 😁 😁

What are the odds a any new smartphones for the month of May? The usual, contract is up, haven't had a smartphone sice the Kyocera 7135. I have an env currently. Any suggestions?

this is what im hearing from my bosses and my friend at cingular told me she heard the same thing that as of friday verizon has overtaken cingular. can anyone else confirm this?

I have a 7130e, bundled voice and unlimited data plan but NO text plan. If I use the messenger feature is that billed as a text message each time?
I use GMAIL with the unlimited data and it is treated a part of the package.

😡 What irritates me is that with Verizon service the recorder feature that permits you to record conversations, only really records what the other person is saying, that is bull should let you record both people, anyways thats irritating.....

Is there anyway to use your mp3 files as ringtones on the the Moto SLVR?

This thread is not for ranting and raving about the Verizon UI, I just have a question about it in relation to Verizon's Motorola phones.

I have owned the RAZR and the KRZR, and then I recently got the LG 8700. Along the way I have demoed or played with almost every phone that has come out for Verizon over the last 3 years.

My question is, why has the standardized UI progressed so much on the LG phones that Verizon sells but has basically stayed exactly the same on all the Motorolas that they sell?

The UI on the new 8700 is actually really, really nice, and it seems crazy that they would keep that junky, boring one on such sleek looking phones like the KRZR and possibly the RAZR Maxx (so I've heard).

So I woke up the other morning at about 3 a.m. to something very disturbing. Outside my bedroom window I saw "the network". Normally the sight comforts me, but this time was much different. That dork with the glasses was lightly tapping on the window and licking his lips. I knew my door was locked so I went back to sleep. About an hour later I felt a light stabbing sensation in my brown place and became filled with terror. My eyes slammed open and there was no one in the room...only the smell of aqua velva and stale cigarette smoke. On the pillow next to me were a pair of horn rimmed glasses. I was raped by "the network".

HOORAY! It's actually on the testman site. So that holds it probably right to the 24th release date because usually it shows up on the testman site about a week or so before release, right? I cannot wait to get it and get rid of my Q.

it's interesting, they depending on txting for their ad campaigns, and push it to everyone except, their txt features DON'T include a LIMIT or a "no more characters" warning when you type too much, instead, they just send you a txt back after you write a long message and give a BS explaination, basically saying your message was sent except for anything after the limited number of characters allowed.....why do they not make better decisions?
