I just got the U740 and love it...I maybe have sent ten text msg in my life prior to this phone, and I was able to get super comfortable within one hour of practice-if that!!

I now can txt super fast its pretty cool.

I don't know why some peeps were saying the keypad is too small its perfect and very super easy. Cool 'My desk' UI theme to I like it. Call clarity sounds real nice also.

question about contracts, HELP!!

Ok.. this is my question(s)... I currently have a 2-year contract with Verizon (under my sisters' name) that is supposed to end in a few weeks

Now, I went into a local cell phone store and I wanted to sign a new contract to get better phones for cheaper (or even free) (contract will now be under my name)

However, he said that we CANNOT keep the same phone numbers... is this true? That is one of the dumbest things I've heard... because he said I can keep the numbers if I switch from Verizon to another carrier but not if I go from Verizon contract to Verizon contract

So, I went online to Vzw.com and there's an "upgrade phone" option... and I think with this option I can keep the same numbers... However I think I end up paying like ...

When ask when it coming out he is said soon theirs a few bugs to be work out. Just thought I share this info with you guys since when the rebate forums came out and no phone, it was disappointing time for us.

lg8700 vs. 9900 camera?

I have and love the 9900, but i don't really need the keyboard. I would love the size of this phone but would mis the battery on the 9900. So here is my deciding factor, if the 2mp camera on the 8700 is to par with the 2mp on the 9900, i think i might buy one....thoughts? If not I will waite on the gzone type s

Hi, My Name Is, Whaa? My name is, Huh? My Name is

Well after four years with att/cingular/ the new att i will be starting with Verizon in about a week. Just wanted to say whats up to the regulars on this forum. I really feel this is a positive company to come to but am especially excited about getting the feeling back from my butthole after being raped with paycuts by the darkside of wireless.

LG9400 and Outlook

Hello all,

Does anybody know if the 9400 is able to sync with Outlook? My boss has a LG4500, and by God it is time she got a better phone!! I couldn't find any info on it (but I also prefer to bother you people than to do my own research 🙂 )
Let me know!
Thanks!

GRRRR: dumb custie

👿 👿

this old guy pulls some BS website add out of his pocket this morning, free RAZR, free '$70 value' BT headset, all instantly, asking if I can match OR BEAT it on a 450 minute new plan.

OR a 325i with a Jabra BT $'60 value' BT, all free instantly of course.

from independent/promotional websites not in ANY WAY affiliated with VZ.

I informed him of our policies, but also said I could match it, with some conditions.

He'll 'think' about it.

I should have told him to get it from the website, and then change his plan in a few months 😈

The expectations customers have when first starting out is getting more and more ridiculous. Burns me. Wonderful start to my morning.

ESN Change Before Sending Rebate

Hello, I need some help/advise from all of you savvy Verizon folks. My friend just renewed her contract last night and upgraded her phone to the new LG VX9400. She was also considering the Chocolate (which is the one I have). Anyway, she changed her mind and now wants the Chocolate. This is where my question comes...I want her new phone and since she wants a Chocolate, can we just switch ESNs? Also, if we can do that, can she still send the rebate in even though the phone would now be under my name and not hers anymore? Thanks so much in advance for your help...

Why does Verizon seem to get all the good phones first?

Does anybody in this forum know why it seems Verizon has been getting the latest and greatest phones first? For example they got the Treo 700 first and supposedly the PPC 6800. Also they got the first 3.2 megapixel camera phone for the US market. Is it because they are one of the biggest carriers or do they simply offer better deals to the manufacturers? For example Sprint does have a great data network that in many respects out preforms Verizon and has a lower cost. Yet Verizon grabs all the latest phones that benefit from a strong data network first. Whats the deal? By the way this is not intended to start any carrier bashing, please only respond if you have any information on the subject. Thanks

Verizon Bans P2P, Streaming Services and Online Gaming. (EVDO Wireless Data Service)

Verizon Bans P2P, Streaming Services and Online Gaming.
http://torrentfreak.com/verizon-bans-p2p-streaming-s ... »

They say that the devil is in the detail and to always read the small print. Well, if your ISP happens to be Verizon and you’re on the EVDO Wireless Data Service, this is great advice. Read their Terms of Service and you will see; P2P is banned, as are streaming services such as YouTube. And the ‘Unlimited’ transfers you were paying for? Forget those too, 5gig a month is the limit.

Verizon customers on the EVDO Wireless Data Service are in for a surprise if they read the Terms of Service (TOS)

The Unlimited Data Plan is - yes, thats right limited to 5gigs of transfers each mont...
