Wanted to touch on this situation with regarding Data and EV-DO

I just wanted to mention my opinion on this matter.

I think that Verizon truly cares mostly about its landline than its wireless division when it comes to data on its wireless and wire line platforms. As you can tell, they do not really care too much about their wireless division’s data plans to go to the next step to differentiate them, because they care really only about their postpaid voice signups. I have been mentioning that going into the future they need to adjust accordingly. At least try to be like Cingular or Sprint or other competitors. I am afraid if they do not do so they will far way behind from the pack especially going into the future. you can see that they care heavily about their landline division because they are aggre...

Data Plan and Text Message Plan?

Hi! I am considering a Q, but like many users, I feel the $44.95 price tag is a bit steep. I was wondering... I currently have a text/pix/flix package, and would like to know, if you purchase a Q and get the unlimited data plan, are text, pix and flix messages included, or do you have to have a separate plan for that?

Thanks! 😁

Will New Verizon+Alcatel-Lucent Beat Sprint+WiMax?

With verizon upgrading their network giving it a 6Billion boost with VoIP and video telephony services. Will that be more than enough to compete with Sprint's new 4g Wimax? Will verizon be the first to have video cellular calling in the US......?

RAZR maxx Ve.... any info??

I just called Verizon to see if they had any updates on when this might come out, and they told me that don't have any info at all, it wasn't in their system, and that they usually find out about new phones 3-5 weeks before they come out. So, should we take that to mean it will be at least another month to wait??? πŸ˜•

LG EnV Camera Lens Cover Rattles

I just got an enV and everything is perfect except one thing. The camera lens cover is kind of "loose" in the sense that it rattles when I am typing on the QWERTY keyboard or just laying the phone down etc.

Is this just cheapo-build quality that is common with all these phones, or is it just mine? (in other words should I take it back and exchange it)
I guess it's not that big of a deal, but it makes the phone sound kind of plasticky or something and opening and closing the lens cover just feels like its really poorly constructed.

Anyway, just wanted some other opinions...thanks!

Blackberry Cyclone

I was reading in other forums Verizon is getting a New Blackberry called Cyclone. 8800 Series. Full Qwerty with Trackball, mediaplayer, expandable memory, CDMA and GSM (global phone). Even VZ Nav capable. Any word if this is true?

tell me about the audiovox 8940

we're indirect, just got this phone in, I know that it's discontinued, but don't know too much about it, 'cept that it's uglier than Hilary. Anybody have info on it, why it was discontinued, how many returns were taken in b/c Audiovox sucks, etc.

What is with Verizon and their rates?

It seems every time you blink Verizon changes rates. Yesterday I got an email stating the text rates were going to .15 cents and that they added new $15 & $20 plans if the $10 was not enough. In an industry where the money is made on who has the best and most to offer it just doesn't make sense to me. I been with Vrerizon for a bit and i just have not seen any better rates or plans, just more money and more restrictions.

new phone

I currently have the RAZR V3M. I like it but it really does not fit me that well, I have had verizon for 6 mos. I would like to get something new, but I dont want to pay full price, and I DO not want to buy it on E-bay. A CSR told me to try my insurance to see if they could send me a different phone? I dont know what to do?

Let me know if you have and suggestions

Thanks

Guys, can a verizon rep get fired for.....

looking up someon's account randomly?

Ok, heres whats up and i am asking for real help please.. so someone i know calls me and says "dude you need to pay your phone bill, i pulled up your account today and your passed due". seriously, were not even that close, were acquaintences who know each other through other people. so it wasextremely strange getting this call and him telling me that when i didnt even know he knew i had verizon. this scared me and i admit that i do feel weirded out...

Does a rep have the power to switch things up on my account without me asking? (no, hes not a manager, just a costumer service rep at one of the retail stores).

warranty questions with purchasing used phones....

ok,

So I was thinking about buying an EnV off of craigslist...and I was wondering if any of you could clarify what type of warranty coverage you can get from a corporate store if you have any problems with the phone

I was under the impression that if you bought the phone private party, and activated it, you weren't eligible for any warranty from VZN. Due to the fact that YOU did not orginally purchase the phone from VZN.

Can anyone clarify?

Also, did verizon ever actually implement the program where you could buy a FRU for $50 if your phone crapped out? I heard they were gonna do that sometime last year, but not sure if it ever went into effect.

Thanks in advance for your answers

Question on the Advanced Device Promotion

You get $100 off a PDA if you sign up for the unlimited data plan, right? Well, I want to upgrade one line, but then move the PDA to another line. So the data plan/phone wouldn't be on that line more than about a day. It would even be on a different account, although still my name. Would I still get the $100 off?
