Getting your Verizon ETF Waived

Here's 2 legit reasons to cancel because VzW changed the terms of your contract.

1)Txt Messaging Fees changing from $0.10 to $0.15 - even w/ a text plan, there's potential adverse financial or material impact. If they say you can block the service, you don't want to, you want to keep messaging available just not suffer an increased financial impact. See http://consumerist.com/consumer/readers/scrip t-for-escaping-verizon-contracts-without-fee, -based-on-text-message-rate-raises-234164.php for more info.

2) New Admin Fee Increase - VzW is upping the admin from $0.40 to $0.70 per month. This increase represents a 75% increase over the old fee. Don't let them say it's only $0.30, tell them 75% is clearly a material impact. See http://consu...

recomend me a PDA/smartphone/BB

so in a month i have to get a PDA/smartphone/blackberry device for work.

i like...

6700 - nice slide feature. nice design. decent resolution
cons...kinda bulky...

pantech 820 - nice and slim and pretty cool for a PDA.
cons....no qwerty.

BB 8703e - niiice screen. nice design.
cons...its a BB. email isnt too important too me. and also i am left handed making the thumb wheel, an index finger wheel.

BB 7130e - pretty much same as 8703. i like it a lot because its slimmer for a BB but again with the thumb wheel problem...

your opinion matters! 🙂 thanks!

"Test Drive"

Introducing the Test Drive Program
posted: 3/22/2007 5:11:13 PM (ET)

VZW is pleased to announce its "Test Drive the Network" program. Beginning March 26, this exciting new program will give a new customer 30 days to hear what they have been missing. If we are not the best network they've had, they are free to switch.

This unique program will encourage more people to "Test Drive" the most reliable network, and once customers experience it for themselves, they will choose to stay with Verizon Wireless. Confidence in our network experience allows us to break out from the pack of "me too" network claims and concretely demonstrate to customers what it means to be the best. Only Verizon Wireless is actually willing to pay for 30 days of ...

Why is there no good Smart phones/Pdas for verizon

I don't understand why Verizon does have any decent Smartphones/Pda. Look at Cingular and they have a ton. I want a decent phone so I can use the internet when on the road. I have tried the Treo's and all they do is lock up. The Motorola Q's I have read they suck since they have problems and in order to real us the phone you have to buy an extended battery whic is large. The Lg6700 is Huge and so is the I1730. I like the Q size but don't want the problems.

Also why is Verizon's plans for Data so expensive?
Sprints is like $15.00 a month that is a good deal.

Why doesn't Verizon offer it as an add on for like the cost of VCast when you have a plan already.

I am on the Share plan at 69.99 so it is crazy to add $49.99 to that plan to g...

Wiwhat???? This is what the future of EVDO holds beyond Rev-A

200mbps by late 2008, isn't that when Wimax will finally be deployed by Sprint???? 75mbps for Wimax vs. 200mbps for Rev-C and Rev-C will be backward compatible to previous EVDO releases and can be overlayed on the current EVDO network.
200mbps on 20 meg of spectrum or 75 mbps on 20 meg of spectrum, hmmmmm, sounds like Sprint is working on another sinking ship.

Question for CORP. Kiosk Employees

I will be starting at a crop. kiosk in a local wholesale club where the traffic is not that high for wireless sales. My question is for anyone that is currently working in an environment like this. What tips or words of advice can you give to maximize sales and make some good money?. I worked for cingular for many years in a corp store but have decided its time for a change and work for a company that has a good track record on paying there sales force.

thanks

What new features have there really been in 2 years?

My 2-year contract is up for renewal in about 6 months (I now know to only buy a one-year contract), and I have begun to look at possible providers and phones again. I have the VX-8100, and I am surprised to see that not much has changed: camera quality has not increased; EVDO rev. A is not yet really deployed; music capabilities are still limited, and with the same clunky interface; etc. Between 4 years ago and 2 years ago, there were many changes: calls became digital; music, cameras and multimedia was introduced; color screens became standard.

Happily, the phones still make calls, but what has really changed or improved in 2 years?

Verizon Exchange Policy

I have had my samsung a950 for less than a year. And lately every 6 weeks or so my data features on my phone quit working and they try to rebuild it and never can. This when I get to exchange the phone will be my fourth a950. I have heard rumors that verizon will give you a different phone after it has been exchanged so many times.

My question is if I take it back, will they give me a different phone????

Any information that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated

YingYang of Wireless Providers

Verizon has been my wireless carrier for many years now, and I have had them all. So I have to ask why does Verizon drag their feet on good phones?

I don't want to complain, I just want to throw this thought out there. I have a E815, this phone is now 2+ years old, and it is still, hands down the best phone Verizon came to market with in a very long time.

So why after 2+ years, is there nothing that is comparable to the E815? I want a new phone, but the selection is terrible.

Just my thoughts.

Using Voice commands on the g'Zone

Would like to get a consensus from everybody with the g'Zone. Does voice command work?

Mine is totally useless, doesn't recognize anything I say. Was wondering if this is endemic to the type phone or do I just have a bad phone that needs to be replaced?

Part of the reason I got a phone with a speaker phone capability is to be able to use it hands free and without looking at the screen to dial while driving. I've got 51 year old eyes, and the font of the menu screens is so tiny, I can't read anything on the screens when I am driving, so I need to be able to use voice command to at least dial out.
