vz navigator and the chocolate phone

hey, is it possible to hear vz navigator directions through a bluetooth headset on the 8500? I've been unsuccessful in figuring out how so far...it drives me crazy that my brother can do it on his enV and I cannot. I use an LG HBM 730 headset.

WiMaX is going to DESTROY VERIZON!!!!!!!!!!!!

We reported Tuesday about Sprint Nextel's WiMax broadband wireless network it was planning to build
using WiMax technology. Now, the company says it's going to start laying down some serious money to make this happen, vowing to spend $3 billion over the next two years to build the WiMax network. The advantage for us? Nothing short of accessing video, music, voice and even video calls wherever we are and whenever we want. Is anybody thinking the current wireless "broadband" service EV-DO is fast? Says Sprint CEO Gary Forsee:

"The 4G network will be four times faster than today's EV-DO network. And at these speeds, it's all about lighting up new devices. Imagine accessing YouTube.com and MySpace.com literally on the fly."

Hey, they're ...

T-Mobile couldn't resist

Looks like T-Mobile will join the text message bandwagon and raise the rates to .15 per text. The plus is that they are lowering picture messages to .15 and these changes appear to not allow customers out of their contracts.
Now for all of the pansies that cried and left Sprint, Cingular and Verizon to join T-Mobile due to these adverse material charges, good luck!!!

Data Plan Pricing Information!

Hi all,

From a completely selfish perspective I'm reposting information on Verizon Wireless' data plan pricing. I see threads constantly spawning of how much is this and that with a lot of inaccurate information being supplied by well-meaning scoopers ;).

PDA's:
PDA pricing comes in 3 tiers.
1) Unlimited - $44.99
2) 10 MB - $24.99
3) Pay as you go - $0, however $0.015/kb

Now if you happen to be a good mobile messaging subscriber, tack on $5 to the unlimited and 10 MB plan prices.

With the pay as you go, there is no monthly fee, but the usage is $0.015/kb. This is NOT just downstream data, this is also the upstream data usage as well. Time connected has absolutely no bearing on this, total data transferred does.

Question about Wireless Sync

Is Wireless Sync available for $5 per month?

Does this use data (I don't have a data package and I don't want to get charged a lot) or does the $5 per month handle all charges?

En-V or U740

Thanks to the responses on this forum, I've decided to switch to verizon. Now my next question is: Which phone works better on the network, the en-v or the samsung u740? I love the fact that both have the full keyboards for txting (avg. 2200 a month) and the compact size of both. Is there anything else abouth these two phones that I need to know?

West Virginia

Any word on when Verizon will be up and running in West Virginia. I remember reading they bought an entire network there. Parents live in Morgantown and want to switch over to VZW when their current contract expires in June. Any idea? Thanks.

Do you have to get the 44.99 data plan with a blackberry?

Ok,

I know this might sound like a weird questions...but I was wondering if you have to get the unlimited data plan with a blackberry? I really just want a reliable smart phone that has great reception and the 8703 seems to do just that. The email would be nice, but not totally necessary for me at this point. If verizon is going to make me get that $45 data plan than I may have to pass up this phone.

Thanks for your help

Watching dvds on the EnV

Ok, I have gone through every posting there is on this site and I still can't get a full dvd onto my card. When I put a dvd movie on the card, it is in chapters, which last about 10 mins each, so I can't just watch the whole movie from beginning to end. Also, for some reason the audio is in Spanish. Is there anyone out there that has successfully uploaded a full dvd movie onto their EnV that could actually provide me with instructions on how they did it??

Verizon to Get the Motorola Q9?

I just saw a preview video on YouTube about Motorola's upgraded Q - the Motorola Q9. The provider on the phone's screen was Movistar, which is a large european GSM carrier, but I was wondering if/when this phone may come to the US. If it does, will a CDMA version will be available for Verizon? Thanks!
