Where is the Forum page for the Maxx?

PhoneArena.com has had the specs on this phone since it was added on 6 Feb 2007.

I wonder why Rich hasn't put it up over here yet. Verizon is stockpiling them for release tomorrow, April 24th.

Be Gentle--KRZR vs. LG 8300 vs. ?

I have an unusual problem.

I have been a happy LG phone user for years. However, when Verizon recently put in a new cell tower in my neighborhood, the transmission from my 8300 became terribly muddled (in my neighborhood), while the reception improved a lot. They have admitted to the problem (the new tower helped most, but made it worse for a few) and have agreed to let me out of my contract if I desire.

To stay with Verizon, I tried using a Moto Krzr and found no problem with either transmission or reception. Both were excellent. Hmm...They have graciously offered to swap my phone, the 8300 for the Krzr.

Am I crazy to do it? Is there another Verizon phone you would recommend?

I also considered changing carriers--to T-Mobile a...

Casio 'Type S'......If not new details, then perhaps more clear

I called the main Verizon customer support line and spoke with a very lovely and very helpful young lady who was more than happy to pull up the 'Type S' on her system and give me all of the details that she had.

First, and perhaps the most contentious of all the details: The camera is 1.3 megapixels.

Here are some additional details that have already been documented here:
1. Speakerphone (obvious)
2. Bluetooth (she did not know which version, but said that she was sure it was the most up to date version.)
3. Mobile Web 2.0
4. VZ Navigator.
5. Able to download ringtones & able to access their 'Get It Now' system. (again, obvious)
6. Text & pic messaging.
7. Ext & int. display (unfortunately, her system did not show the ...

The actual G'zOne Type-S Website from casio

Most of it is in Japanese but here you go anyway.
http://gzone.jp/main.html »
It's kind of a cool site and that is definately the phone I was looking for but the new pics that are coming of the actual verizon phone pale in comparison. If it has just some of the features it will still be worth it (more than just bluetooth). The UI looks way cool and how you can customize the front display looks cool too. Oh well, we'll find out in a couple of weeks.

I'm tired of all the trash talk

I come to phonescoop to find out some information about different carriers and different phones that are available. I am tired of having to read all the trash talk and rants by highly opinionated people. I don't think that's why most people come here. We all have our opinions about different carriers. Can't we just agree to disagree???

Be aware VZ changed their NE2 last month......

Used to be if you were a customer for a while they would give you the $100 off whether your plan was $79.99 or not, not anymore it's $50 unless you have the $80 calling plan. 😡

Great service, average phones, good CS usually,
change your policy on me midstream I might be gone
just for that reason.

LG VX8700 (SHINE) help?

I finally got my new VX8700. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can turn to move my old ringtones off my computer and on to the new phone? I had my own ringtones and pics on my old LG VX8000 and used the DATAPILOT file transfer system from Susteen to make my own ringtones and transfer files/ backup my phone. However Susteen seems to have no idea when they will have the updates and cable available to do that with the VX8700. I tried the DATAPILOT Bluetooth adapter and while it recognizes the phone it is unable to transfer data with the phone or vice versa

Razr Maxx Let down

☚ī¸ ☚ī¸ đŸ˜ĸ

I don't know if anyone else has seen the razr maxx in person, but I have... I must say I am disappointed. The phone feels solid and looks good. The camera is excellent, I love the front display, with the glass front (had to keep cleaning it) But after 5 mins, it has lost its appeal.

I think what really hurt me was when I went into settings, display and themes. I was stuck with the same themes. Couldn't customize it, except for the color... and that hurt. So I have renamed this phone RAZR Standard.

But I still love Verizon, I'm still loyal to the red giant... Still lovin the LG 9400 TV phone...

ITS OFFICIAL THE 4G WIMAX iPHONE KILLER (MICROSOFT/SPRINT ZUNE PHONE)!!!

I know every one drooled over the announcement of the iphone...but as many of us Hardcore PDA users. Lack of a Removable Batter, and Lack of upgradeable memory, and not to mention the phone being 2G we werent impressed. We all should have known microsoft wasn't going to let apple win. next-gen, high-bandwidth capable phone, 4G network based on the IEEE 802.16e mobile WiMax standard, download speeds of up to 2Mbps, fast enough for the Xbox-to-Zune streaming. Microsoft's patent application -- filed June 16th of last year -- is for a dynamic tiled interface for "improved user interface for mobile devices such as smartphones" and "personal digital assistants And the best for last...its coming 2 SPRINT probably exclusively since no one else will ...

Are cell phones killing off honey bees?

Are cell phones killing off honey bees? đŸ‘ŋ

Radiation from cell phones and other wireless devices might be behind the destruction of honey bee colonies across the United States, which is posing a major threat to agriculture, according to research cited yesterday by The Independent in London.

So-called colony collapse disorder happens when bees vanish suddenly, leaving behind only queens, eggs and a few immature worker bees that are not capable of sustaining the hive. The Independent writes that the missing bees are never found, but thought to die singly far from home. The parasites, wildlife and other bees that normally raid the honey and pollen left behind when a colony dies refuse to go anywhere near the abandoned hives.

Some ...
