Upgrades

I am looking to upgrade two of the phones on my family share plan. The one thing is that I do not want to upgrade my main line until January. If I were to upgrade my two other phones with to get their discounted price, will my New Ever two be available for my main line? Will this reset my contract, thus forcing me to loose the $100 NE2 discount on my main line? Furthermore, if my I have been able to upgrade my NE2 since like July, is there a time limit in which I have before Verizon will stop offering my discount?

BB 8730e Phone Number Recognition and Text Messaging

I went from BB to Treo. Big mistake. Now I'm coming back on 12/1 when my rebate kicks in. A major feature I missed was that my old BB recognized phone numbers as phone numbers no matter where they were: In my Outlook Calendar, Contact notes, etc. All I had to do was go to the number with the thumbwheel, click it and it dialed. Treo doesn't do that.
Does the 8703e do that on Sprint?
Also, on the old Verizon BB, I had to put in an @sprint.com, etc after phone numbers to text message. I had to know what system people were on in order to text them. What a pain! I understand that that's a Verizon thing and that Sprint doesn't require it. Is that right?
Thanks.

The Blade

Why doesn't verizon offer cool phones like the blade? I know the battery is weak but if you get the extended battery my friend says it lasts for 4 days with heavy use. It seems as if verizon phones don't have good graphics/resolution.....could that be because the UI takes up 1/3 of the screen? Just some thoughts....

Europe and Asia get better cell phones

Okay so I saw Casino Royale, and I have one bad thing to say about itโ€ฆWHY DOES THE REST OF THE WORLD GET TEN TIMES BETTER CELL PHONES! This truly blows. Why do we get the short end of the stick on cell phones? And I know what you are saying; those are probably cell phones that are fixing to come out in Europe. And yet, THEY ARE STILL BETTER REGARDLESS. I truly hate American cell phones; they are butchered and toned down, just and ungodly sight. I guess the best thing to do is to go across the pond and get an unlocked phone because these phone suck, itโ€™s like all the phones the American carriers have are like the Zach Morris phone to the European and Asian markets, its ridiculous. WHY OH WHY DO WE HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE THIS?

Hey, kids, just a bit of help about the VZW Network

Okay, so I've heard quite a few conflicting stories. And I'd like to get an opinion from an ACTUAL EXPERT or the like, NOT I repeat NOTTT a fanboy!

Now, my question is this.

I use Sprint. I work for Sprint. Naturally, I hear Sprint touting their network. My trainer said that Verizon leases towers from Sprint.

And yet I've heard from somebody at Verizon who said that Sprint leases THEIR towers from VZW.

Not surprising in the least are these claims.

Sure, each provider is obligated to say "We have the best/most powerful/amazing/protect-us-from-meteors/fast est/most reliable/blahdiblah network!"

But I really would like to get the bottom of this issue.

Neither company's websites have anything to say about that.

Any he...

$$$

How much do you think the LG Chocolate will come down in price in December? I am going to hold off ordering a RAZR and see how cheap the Chocolate is going to get, because @ $130 its not much different than the $50 RAZR.

How hard is it to open a new agent?

I have a question. Hopefully some of you guys can answer this for me. I have worked in the industry for about 3 years and the store that I was working for decided to close about a month ago. I was wondering how hard it would be to open a new agent location where I live. I know I can get a good investor to help me out with the money so thats not a huge problem. How much would it cost and who would I need to talk to at Verizon in order for this to happen? Any help in this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks again.

Candy-Bar BT phone?

Anyone know if VZW will be getting a candy-bar type phone with BT any time in the near future? Seems like mostly flips/clam shell.

Thanks, Scott

Does the white chocoloate get dirty easily???

My girlfriend is thinking about getting this phone in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if it gets pretty dirty (mainly due to make-up wiping off, atleast for women)? Seems like it might, but then again, maybe you could just wipe it off. If anybody has any experience let me know. thanks.

LG VX8600 Vs. Motorola Krzr K1M

Does anyone have a friendly opinion on this matter? I currently have had the 8600 for 2 days and I am not sure if I will keep it. So far it's a gorgeous phone but I have had bad reception and delayed text messages this weekend. I also have never had a motorola phone before so the comparison of LG vs. Moto would be awesome too.

Verizon RAZR V3 and HP IPAQ 2795 as BT Dialer

Has anyone been successful at this? When I attempt to dial out using the iPAQ contact list the RAZR attempts to make a 'data call'. The other party gets a ring, but the phones don't connect. Verizon customer support won't address this issue.

New Policies...

๐Ÿ˜Ž

Does everyone know yet?
As of Nov 16th:

Variable ETF - $5.00 will be deducted off the Standard ETF of $175 for every completed contract month. Applies to new customers... however existing customers have to sign a new 2 yr agreement that extends thier end date to be enrolled.

Kinda cool in a "come get this new feature from VZW" way... however, could lead to a higher churn rate although I seriously doubt it.

So what you think?
