samsung

got word of a new samsung maybe coming down the pipe. has razr like dimensions in terms of width and thickness, similar specs as well. the selling point is it folds the long way as well for a full qwerty keyboard. I believe cingular had a similar phone awhile back but much larger. no word on model name or price or release date. Still in testing, looks promising.

oh and a different UI option as well. still has the bars, but the menu looks much different. This is what I was told anyway. might just be bunk for all i know but one to look for

Nokia 6315i - Just Bought it and Returned it before I left the store - Total Dissapointment!

Here we go again, and guys believe me I hate to be the one to deliver negative info..

I went to my store today and bought the new Nokia 6315i.. This is the new one with EDVO, 1.3 Meg, Music, and Mem Card,Bluetooth etc..

I was so so hoping for something awesome and when I took it out of the box I got excited.

It is considerably smaller than most other full featured phones and a bit smaller than the 8300. Nice Keypad and Screen was clear. The Camera Protrudes out the back of the phone kind of awkward but still nice. The paint job is a little cheap and it looks like it will scratch the silver paint off in no time but still nice.

My partner says to me where is the voice dial button.. I start to look. At this point I am standing in fr...

Anyone want my Q? No new Contract

So here's the deal. I hope no one gets mad that I am posting this.

I worked at a company that gave us no internet access. So I needed the Q to access the web. I recently changed jobs and now have access to the net. I can't stomach paying $45 just for internet on my phone anymroe. I am going to be downgrading to the razr again.

This phone is on ebay now for only $79, so you might get it for a good price. Or if anyone has a new razr (the silver and black one) I would trade straight up.

This Q comes with original receipt. Is in great condition, no flaws, no scratches that I see. Desktop charger, regular and extended battery, and protective skin.

The link to my phone is:

Amazon Verizon Phones

Hey everyone, I ordered & purchased 3 new Verizon cell phones on amazon.com

I am currently a T-Mobile user and plan on porting my 3 numbers over. I also plan on just selling the new phones on eBay and use some old Verizon phones I brought on eBay.

I am guessing that when the phones arrive in the mail, it will include some activation instructions (like a code or something). Because it wants me to dial *228 on the phones.

My question is could I just activate the used phones on the new Verizon account instead of on the new phones to avoid opening the new phones.

If anyone knows...it would be great. thanks

I'm really pissed off now

I was using my phone this morning while showering and the damn thing quit working, I don't have time for this crap I use my phone for business and time is money!! When is verizon going to get its act together and offer a phone that can hold up to everyday activities, I don't think I'm asking to much here. I have been a customer for ten years and pay my bill each month, I'm going down to the corp store this morning and those morons best make it right. All I need is a waterproof phone geez 😁

help deciding on new phone

I'm a Verizon customer, and due for my new every two deal. My old phone, a Nokia 6256i is in good shape, and I might not consider replacing it were it not for the side buttons. I've probably taped several dozen events of the change jingling in my pockets.

I was considersing a Motorola Q, I want to be able to do three things with the new phone:
1. Make and receive calls
2. Keep my calendar updated
3. Keep track of my mileage/expenses

The Verizon sales rep told me that I would have to have a data plan and that not having one would cost me money, because it constantly updates itself. I don't want to mess with my plan. Is there a way to use the features and memory of the phone, but not hae a data plan?

Would the same thing be tru...

I CAN STAND

I can't stand customers who sit there and think we make some measly $10.00/ hour. a customer told me to get a better paying job when she figured out that i have REAL 2ct princess cut diamond earrings in my ear (yes i'm a str8 guy no jokes)and have a nice car she just shut up. why do they think they can be-little me and think i should jump for them since she wants a tier 5 plan and a bt package i just don't get it. don't they understand that now matter who they are or what the spend a month with there old carrier i'm not going to act like some 3rd party ( no offenese) and go through hopes for an act. as you can tell i had a customer who was porting from t-mobile and wanted me to sell here the 8300 for free after rebate because wirefly was goi...

Data Plan / Text Question for VZW reps

I just activated another line on my account, to use with a Blackberry 7250. I am getting charged 9.99/mo. for the additional phone line, 44.99/mo. for the unlimited data plan. The tele-sales rep told me I would get charged per each text message unless I had a txt plan, even with the unlimited data plan? Is this correct? It doesn't make sense to me that an unlimited data plan would still incur costs for text messages. I hate to quibble over $5, but I already spend $150/month, and this is going to add $60 to that. Thanks for any help.

NEED HELP - Phone Techs?

Ok hear me out, Ill keep it brief.

A few months ago, I dropped my phone my pool. I let it dry out for a few days, and everything worked perfect except one thing: when I speak into it - it sounds all staticy and mumbly to the person I am talking to. It seems to just be the mouth piece that is messed up - everything else works great, I can send/recieve, use bluetooth, camera etc...

One last thing, when I use my bluetooth headset it works fine, and the other person can hear me. This is what makes me think it is just the part I speak into.

I tried hooking it up again, months later and it did the same thing.

Anything I can do? Has anyone ever had this problem? Im thinking about doing the oven trick, but I figured its been drying ...

Traded the "Q" for the "P"

I returned the "Q" yesterday because of the short battery life, even with the extended battery, for the 700p. It's the best decision I've made in a long time in regards to cell phones. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Battery issues

I have a LG vx-8000, lately I have noticed the battery is not holding up as well as did originally, down by 1/4 or 1/2 by the end of the day with only 10-20 minutes of talk time. A new battery didn't make any difference. The phone is almost two years old, could RF misalignment cause higher battery consumption? I have also noticed that the signal level sometimes drops to no bars but when a call is initiated it will jump back up to the normal two bars after 10 seconds or so and then the call goes through.

razr v3m

hey its time for an upgrade for me and i am wondering about the reception strength of the v3m razr. i will be upgrading from the samsung a670 and when i am at my home i often have no signal or one bar for a few minutes then back to no signal. i was wondering if anyone has gone from a phone that often has very weak signal in an area that they are in often to the v3m. im not really into the whole razr craze but if the reception is going to be better when i am at home ill jump on the wagon. sorry if this topic has been posted before but i did some searching and didnt find too much. thanks and please be honest 😁
