vcast music question?? help clarify this

Ok, i realize you must have a vcast music phone to get the songs on your phone, that one is a no brainer, but my question is about the pc. If I am a verizon customer and do not have a vcast phone can i still download media 10 and download a song from pc and have it billed to verizon. This way i could pay .99 for song and play it on pc or burn on cd, could care less about putting it on phone. I thought this was possible but have had 2 different customer care reps tell me no? Back during training I was told the pc side doesn't really care what phone you have. Well I tried to download a song, and blam i get an error, called verizon and they keep telling me i have to upgrade phone to download song to pc, i even had tech support tell me this. Is ...

New Every 2 time: Which phone should I get? Razr or ?????

Basically, my question is "Should I look at anything other than the Razr?"

I'm ready for an upgrade after 2 years, here are my initially options:
(1) Motorola RAZR V3m (silver or pink ... it would be silver :yummy: )
(2) Verizon Wireless CDM 8945 (whatever this thing is)
(3) LG VX8300
(4) Samsung SCH-a930
(5) Motorola E815
(6) Nokia 6236i (not digging the candy-bar style)
(7) Verizon Wireless PN-215
(😎 Samsung SCH-a850
(9) Motorola V325
(10) LG VX5200 (what I have now)

I started w/ Samsung A670, insurance replaced it w/ an LG VX5200 (pretty nice phone, kinda large but works fine). I'd like something similar, small, good reception, fairly rugged ... I'm not looking to watch vcast or anything like PDA functionality, mostly w...

Switching v3c or v3m face plates?

Has anyone successfully changed/removed/installed their razrs face plates successfully?

I was curious to know if it was possible to do this? I have a broken v3m silver phone and Id love to take the silver plates off and install them on my v3c phone. Anyone know if this is possible? Is it easy?

Thanks

Changing policies

When is Verizon planning on changing their policies for upgrades and fees? I read an article on here earlier stating that there would be a change in the fall sometime. I will have had my current phone in Februrary, but would really like to upgrade to the vx8500? Any ideas?

Chocolate's OS

Does anyone know if the Chocolate will ship with an improved UI, or the same UI that the 8300 sports? Some promotional pictures of the Chocolate show an improved UI with customized buttons for the side buttons, while Verizon's teaser website has the 8300's UI.

Thanks!

AIRCARDS.....

I want an aircard...which one should I get?

Don't you hate that! But seriously I have an HP Pavillion ze5600 (its about 4 years old, but I've made a few mods!) I know we sell two or three different kinds, but I honestly don't see any difference with the exception of the manufacturer. The Audiovox is the cheapest, but according to the specs its also capable of the fastest speeds. Anybody got any info???

Nokia Questions

Ok I have a Nokia 6236i, and I can't get the Picture Id to work.
Is that normal? it has a camera, so I assumed it had Id.
I was told I need Diego to make it work, what the heck is Diego, is it like Bitpim?
While everyone is telling me I need Diego, no one seems to know where to get it, where the heck do you get it?
if anyone has any insite on this that would be great!!
thanx in advance im really confused.

LG VX5300!

Well I just saw the 5300 will be launching soon on Infocenter! Finally a good triband bluetooth phone! And yes it still uses the same UI so keep quiet haters. Think of all of your older customers that change into new phones. Use the standard UI as a selling point not a downfall. Try it I am sure it will work.

Need a New Phone Soon

I know...there are a lot of "what phone should I get" postings out there, and this is another one...

I need a good tri-mode phone for Verizon. Currently I have the Audiovox 8900 which has been great, but it is starting to die. Audio quality has gone considerably downhill recently, as has reception (I am dropping a lot more calls than I used to). I tried the Motorola v325, but I was not impressed. Call reception was not that much better. I want a phone with good audio quality and the best reception I can find, and I do need analog as well. As far as features are concerned, I would like speakerphone, but that's really about all I care about. My one picky thing is the external display - I want a phone with an external display that stays lit ...

Verizon Chocolate Test Page

Check out this sweetness--saw this link over at HowardsForums, a verizon wireless test page for advertising the chocolate! 😛 😛 😛

Couple interesting details: First you can clearly see a MicroSD card slot added on the side, so that's added as suspected.

Second the date on this phone is Wed, Aug. 16th, WELL before the october date and seeming much more in line with the info on this site, which makes me VERY excited.

Third, there is some concern over at HOFO that the red bars signal that this doesn't have the FlashUI of 8300, but I'm optimistic that it's just the default and FlashUI will be there.

Fourth, I've been reading this forum for a while but this is my first post, so HI ALL 😛 😛

NE2 Error ?

I upgraded my wife's phone on December 24, 2005 to the RAZR V3C.
I also did mine (totally separate account 10 minutes after hers).
As of today on the VZ web site, both accounts have that new Verizon "NE2 Meter" which shows a red bar indicating over a 24 month period how close you are to your new free phone.

My account says that "on October 24, 2006 you are eligible to upgrade at promotional pricing. On October 24, 2007 you are eligible to upgrade and get your free phone (that is correct).

But my wife's is still indicating she has not upgraded since October 2003. She actually had her StarTac since 2001 before the RAZR.

Obviously, an error? It offers her to buy a bunch of phones totally free and shows the $100.00 discount.

Is ...

Contract being terminated can the phones be used elsewhere?

Verizon Wireless has agreed to terminate my contract early due to coverage issues at my home.
They apparently don't want the 2 phones back, so can these phones once my contract is terminated be used on other Verizon Wireless accounts (i.e. given to family members who have VW service, etc.)? Possibly even used on pay as you go?

Thanks,

new interface on lg8300?

my wife just got the lg8300 and the only thing that i can see new about the interface is that i can change the colors of the red bars and the background color of the menues. big woop. i thought the UI had a more significant change life new skins for a completely new look. i think i saw a vid of new skins being demonstrated but can't find that option in the lg8300.

if new skins are avaibale then please give me steps on how to access them.

thanks

Tidbit Updates

Okay, here's a few links for ya'll to check out and make sense of. I'm just the messenger so take it as you read it.

This link shows that in China it will be $495. I don't see it being that much in the U.s. Not after contracts, at least. Also, it says it will have 512Mmb. Maybe with an expansion card, but for the U.S., I've heard only 128mb.

This next link shows the LG U400. As I've heard, there will be a "series" of...
