Can anyone answer this. I have a customer who bought a V3m Silver Razr. He also purchased the Music Essentials Kit. When he tries to move files from his kit to his phone (which has the transflash card) he gets an error message about the license of the file. He contacts tech support through the 1-800-922-0204. They advise him that he must need the software flashed. He takes the phone to the technitians who say he has the most current software. They give him 1-866-788-WDTS to call when in front of his computer. He calls this number. They tell him that his PHONE ISN'T CAPABLE of the music transfers!

I call that number and get that I will have AN HOUR WAIT TIME!!! Holy cow! What is going on here? I know his phone is cap...

I got it. I have the 5300 and it's activated. I have it for one hour so far so not much to report yet but alot tonight when I get back.

Keypad feels like the 8300 so far , the screen is small but that is okay.. I can tell you and it really does not mean much but the 1X meter is 1 bar higher in my office than the 8300. Speaker phone so far is decent , more to come.

The earpiece is a concern, on the 8300 we all know it's low but very clear. There is a slight downgrade in earpiece quality but I am not sure yet.

UI allows it to be set to blue and other colors but no Flash. Big deal , at least I have it all rigged with blue..

for someone that has used the phone (or if not, than has this info)-

speakerphone- people have said that the phone definitely doesnt have it, or that it definitely does. one mark against it was no button, my current lg phone uses the up button for speakerphone- could this be the same?

buttons on the sides- what do they do? specifically the one on the side with the camera and end functions- i cant read it in pictures, but what does it do?

opening the phone- is it easy to open? is there a button or switch of some sort? does it seem like it would open in a pocket or bag?
thickness- how thick is it, or what are its dimensions (guessing is fine- if you have held it)

sorry so many questions, but im sure im not the only one wondering a...

so my contract was up this past monday.. and im waiting for the LG8500 to come out which should be in about a week or so.. i was wondering how i would go about upgrading. could i still order it online or would i have to wait for it to be in stores.

The local daily paper had a story of a what appeared to be a major outage in the midwest. Any updates? what happended? anyone ??

So I cant wait to get my hands on the 5300 and 8500..

I am praying that LG fixed the Bluetooth Echo problem. If they did not , they are really going to be in trouble. I am amazed that VZW does not make them fix this echo thing.

You can take a Moto or a Samsung and use 50 different headsets and they all work pretty well..

With the LG8300 you are screwed, no matter what they all ehco back to the outside caller.

Let's hope the new ones are good.

The 5300 looks great because of it's size , I dont care about Vcast.. Just give me a good Speakerphone and Working Bluetooth and a nice keypad and small and I am happy.. I bet alot of people would like the same..

Sorry if this is a revisit for some of you! I am not as big a phone geek as most of you, so I thought I would put it out there. I have been eligible for over a year for the New Every 2, but I don't really see any phones that seem that much better than my V710. The E815 seems just like a slightly updated version of the V710 and doesn't seem worth upgrading to from the V710. I have heard mixed reviews about the Razor (even the new one). Can someone convince me to upgrade my phone? Should I wait for one of the new phones scheduled to come out in the next couple of months? If so, which one. Chocolate? Canary?Any input would be greatly appreciated - I feel an urge for a new phone 😉 but I do really like the V710. Thanks!
