After playing with my new LG8500 I can truly say Verizon is going to shag the competition up the a.... now I know cingy fan boys are gonna get all wild up and cry about "well u still can't take your 8500 and **** it up the ass".. 8300 questions - thanks!

Hey guys! I had two questions about the 8300.

1. I have read that there are some "echo" problems with some bluetooth headsets with the 8300. I've heard that buying an LG BT headset can sometimes eliminate this problem. Before I buy an 8300, can someone shed some light on this possible problem? Does the Motorola BT headset, supplied by Verizon, have an echo or any other problems? Is the LG better? Is this an isolated problem, or global to all 8300's?

2. Can I listen to music using the headset?

Thanks a lot for the help!

I can't find it!

Everyone keeps saying that VZW has the same clause as Cingular about using more than 50% of your calls outside of the VZW network. I've been going through the Terms/Conditions, price plan brochures, and I can't find it!!!! Anyone out there know where I can find it, if it does exist?

Motorolaโ€™s Q costs just $158 to build

By Kristen Beckman
Jul 21, 2006

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.โ€”Not only has Motorola Inc.โ€™s Q device set a new low point for smart-phone pricing at around $200, it also has achieved a low production cost as well, with materials and manufacturing costs of only $158, according to a teardown analysis completed by iSuppli Corp.
The analysis concludes the Q phone includes $150 worth of components and costs $8 to make, not including shipping, marketing and other channel expenses. The display module is the most expensive component of the handset at $25, said iSuppli.

Verizon Wireless offers the Q for $200 with a two-year service contract or $350 with a one-year contract. The phone is a dual-band CDMA2000 1x EV-DO smart phone with a QWERTY keyboard,...

Prepaid customer care reps?

Are they pretty much the same as regular reps just work in a different part of the call center? Are they outscourced? It seems for the most part they hardly ever seem to know what is goin on, I have run into several occasions when attempting to do an ESN change for a customer or a simple priceplan change that they actually have come back on and said, "uh, im not usre how to do this, im going to have to get my supervisor". What is the story on these reps?

Q as a modem?

Hi all,

Lately I've had a few customers coming into the Best Buy I work at asking if the Q can be used as a modem for a laptop per say. Seeing as how little I know on the product I figure it can't hurt to post a topic here.

So my question is A. Can it be used as a modem and B. If so, how?

Thanks.

Media phones or devices that play AACPLUS do they exist?

Hello all!

I have a vexing question that I can't quite find the answer for. I'm in the market for a new media phone but can't seem to find any solid answers so maybe you can help me? I'm looking for a phone that FOR SURE plays AACPLUS files, and works on the Verizon network. Currently there is nothing on the market that I can find, for mobile media players that support the AAC+ format. Yes I know the ipuds play AAC but they do not however support AAC+. So if you have a phone, or even a mobile device, and you have AAC+ music playing let me know!

I'd like to avoid re-re-re encoding all my music yet again... ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks

My Razr is hot as hell!

๐Ÿ˜ฒ

If I talk on it for more than 7 minutes the thing gets burning hot. What's going on here? I got the Razr when Verizon first started carrying it in case there was some sort of recall on them and I didn't realize it. The Razr gets so hot that it practically is burning my hand, and I keep thinking it's going to explode ala that Dell computer thing in China.

The heat seems to be coming from the back area (where the battery is?).

TIA for any advice.

for everyone who didnt think vzw reads online forums

posted today on our intranet site are quotes from fellow members of phonescoop about the chocolate and I quote "I'm excited to get it, my friend is visiting from mexico and coincedently she has the phone so I got to play with it and from what I've seen I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it as soon as it is available" that's just one example but there are others. just think its pretty cool that vzw would look to here for the voice of the people.

What happened to Kyocera phones at VZW??

What happened to all the Kyocera phones for VZW? There are still some people that use 2325's and the like. They seem to be good with reception and overall performance. That's just my humble opinion, not documented fact.

Working For Verizon...?

Hello...

So I got a couple of questions about working for Verizon / Cell Carrier. I am currently employed by a bank but am thinking about leaving. I will have the option to leave or stay in a few weeks. I've got a lot of expirence with cash handeling and of course great customer service skills. lol. I thought about going to work for a Cell Phone carrier because I know A LOT about them. And have had a lot. I like them too. lol. So what are the benefits of working for Verizon? What is generally their pay range / Starting pay? (I Make OKAY money now...considering that I am stil at home and going to college...)
Any input would be very helpful.

Thanks Much

Nokia 6305

hope this isn't a repost.

for those that care...
the nokia 6305 will start being sold at circuit city verizon stores by the end of the month (hopefully). 69.99 after $50 rebate.

this will quickly get buried as it isn't the chocolate which comes out approx the same time.
