Using a Samsung SGH-E900 with Cingular?

Is this possible? Will I be able to use text messaging, picture messaging, and the browser? How do I enable these features? If it matters I live near Chicago. Thanks

verizon + slider = ?

Does anyone know if verizon is going to pick up any new sliders besides the Chocolate? I am switching from Sprint in early September and I am curious. I may just have to settle for the Chocolate, but I am really attached to the idea of the new Moto RiZR z3. But there is no word on who is going to carry it... info, anyone? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Your Youngest Parent assited Contract

I am going carrier to carrier asking this question,
I know all of the crap about the need to be an adlut for you to be able to sign a contract, but what is your youngest parent assisted contract. I had a 8 year old kid and his mom come in and purchase the samsung a640 for sprint. and you know the sad part, the kid had a better phone than his mom.

A New Carrier Question

Hey I have an idea just tell me what you all think. If I am currently with verizon hence the post on the verizon website. But like many I get hit with a pretty good size of overages every month. Now, tell me what you all think about this.

If I had a carrier that offered many plans, for the sake of this example 4. Now my plan would include something like:

monthly anytime Night/wk Mobile to
cost Minutes Minutes Moobile
39.99 400 Unlim Unlim
59.99 800 Unlim Unlim
79.99 1200 Unlim Unlim
99.99 1900 Unlim Unlim

Now here is the catch unlike other carriers that charge you overages, this plan "flex" to the closest plan. So everyone starts at the 39.99 unless their wishes to start higher. As they use their mins, when they went over they ...

question about buying on ebay

let's say I buy an 8300 on ebay for $209 (cheapest I can find it for right now). In 6 months I go to get the phone activated and it doesn't work. What am I supposed to do? Can I even get an warranty on a phone purchased on ebay? I mean if the box is unopened what are my options? I would probably have to call the manufacturer, right or if I'm working for verizon what would be my options?

What kind of discount do employees get on phones, just wondering if I should wait to see if I get the job before I buy a phone on ebay.

I can't get it at the store because I still owe verizon wireless $200 on a past due account. Until that's paid off I can't open up another account.

VERIZON EMPLOYEES EMERGENCY!!!

OK WELL I GOT A SAMSUNG A930 ON THE 12TH OF THIS MONTH THEN AFTER A LONG PROCESS I WAS ABLE TO EXCHANGED IT ON THE 15TH BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO MAKE CALLS, BUT NOT RECEIVE THEM FROM CERTAIN NUMBERS. WELL TODAY IS THE 30TH AND I FOUND OUT JUST ABOUT 50 MINUTES AGO THAT THE SAME PROBLEM IS HAPPENING. I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND OUT 60 MINUTES AGO BECAUSE THEN I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE THE CALL TO THE VERIZON STORE TELLING THEM WHAT WAS HAPPENING BUT I WASNT ABLE TO BECAUSE THEY CLOSE AT NINE. SO I WANTED TO ASK ALL YOU EMPLOYEES OUT THERE IF YOU THINK THAT VERIZON WOULD STILL LET ME EXCHANGE THE PHONE?????????

Speakerphone... seriously!!

How often do you really use it!?! I have had speaker-phone on my last 2 phones and almost never used it. It's too quite in my car due to the noise of traffic, and I don't use it at my house because I can't walk far away from it anyway! Use a bluetooth headset, gees! complaining about how the chocolate doesn't have speaker-phone... it has bluetooth, use the better feature! Thats like complaining that your 1.3 mega-pixel phone doesn't have a vga camera ability.

Refurb. phones

When i was picking out a phone a year ago, i was considering the Audiovox 8910, Samsung a670, and Motorola V265 (now V276). I ended up getting the 8910. I think i changed my mind now ๐Ÿคญ haha anyway i was wondering if anyone knew that if my 8910 broke before my contracts up if i could get a refurbished a670 instead of a refurbished 8910. I know you pay $50 for the refurbished model, so if i didnt know if they would let you do that.

thanks

legal ad for tower in city

Verizon Wireless just posted a legal ad for a request to place an antenna on electrical transmission tower in my city today. How long will it take before service can go live in my city? I live in weirton,wv by the way. Also how risky is that, placing a cell antenna on a electical tower and will that avoid the legal hassle of most city antenna codes?

We can transfer your phone book for $10.

Customer: What do you mean its going to cost $10?

Me: The phone book transfer is a convenience that we provide to you and is not part of your monthly service. So we charge a convenience fee of $10 to transfer your phone book entries.

Customer: Well I didn't pay for it last time I got a phone, and my friend just got a new phone and she got her phone book transfered for free.

Me: I understand. Your friend may have been a merits customer and because of the amount of their monthly service they are entitled to a phone book transfer. We began charging for the service in January 2006 in part to cover the cost to maintain the software and equipment that transfers your phone book.

Sidenote: This customer is in a $34.99-300 minute pla...

MotoRazr Maxx CDMA?

Anyone know if there is a CDMA version of the MotoRazr CDMA? I'm guessing the fact that there is no press release means they can't get all those features into an EVDO & GPS CDMA phone yet? I guess the K1m that was announced is Mot's only really new phone for Verizon this year, but it looks too narrow to me. And it lacks the stereo bluetooth (I can't wait for this), high resolution display, 2.0 MP camera, and big outside display that the Maxx seems it will have. Looks like GSM gets the best again...

Got my hands on Chocolate tonight and it reminded me how much I liked vanilla !

Guys,

I hate to be this blunt because you know that I have come to respect LG and I used to be a Samsung guy.. I do think the 8300 and 5300 are wondeful devices.. But this thing ?

What are they thinking ?

It's definitely a young person's phone to take out and show around and maybe play some music but as a phone it's aweful.

When using a phone you need to be able to grab it, dial a number and make a call and when you are done end the call.

This phone which yes looks cool , is tough to use. The touch sensitive buttons are ridiculous and hard to use, Sometimes you press them and some times they work..

The Slider feels okay but the keypad is hard to deal with and has very small buttons.

The end button is horrid. I mean horri...
