Just wondering, I am a current Merits member, but I know I could qualify for the corporate discount, but never looked into it. Is it basically the same discounts as Merits (upgrade every 12 mo. w/ 25% off accessories all the time), or is there other benefits of signing up for the corporate discount?

I need to upgrade phones and want/need a reliable phone with good call clarity/reception/bluetooth/reliability? What is the best Verizon phone available or soon to be available. Thanks for your help.

I recently got the Motorola v325 and I had been loving it until recently....the battery life is absolutely horrid, I mean the phone barely stays charged all day. The lag time of this phone seems really long, when you press a button it takes a long time to process. And third when I was in a really small town in Indiana I was able to get reception real quick only to keep dropping my call. (and my buddy who has cingular had perfect service)....my question is what Verizon phone has great reception and a good battery life? Is Motorola notorious for bad batteries? Someone help!

So we got samples of the Plantronics 655 and the 340 today.. I was so psyched to test these because of the great success I am having with the 320R and the 8300.

The Plant 320R is the only headset in existance that has zero feedback, good volume and works with the voice dialer.

I know alot of people think their Scala and Moto headsets work with the 8300 and yes I guess they kind of work but as far as voice quality to the caller and to the cell user. That is where it's bad. Every headset tested from Jabra and Cardo and Moto and Nokia etc. All cause some kind of intermittant Echo to the outside caller. I just got my NE2 phone, and was told by the rep that I needed to renew my contract for 2 years as part of the NE2. (I think this isn't true)
Since I have a grandfathered UNL text plan (47309) that was promised to me as long as I am a VZW customer, and the new system drops it with a change of plans, (not renewal) I didn't change to the new AM choice 900 Plan.
Question:
I got this 'get your $10 service credit' cupon, and the way I read it, if I call in, I get a $10 credit and renew my existing plan for another 2 years, but gain NOTHING else.
It seems to me that if I do nothing, I keep my existing plan, renew my NE2, and have no other obligation.

I'm thinking of purchasing this phone (new every two). It seems decent enough but I have a few questions:

1. How is the battery life? (talk time/standby)
I know what I've read on the Verzion website but in practical use, that's not accurate. I imagine that the MP3 player puts a drain on battery life pretty bad.

2. How is the reception?

I know a little about cell phones but not a ton. I really just want a sleek, good phone w/ a camera. I like the Q but it has much more than I really need.

Blackberry 8700 series is coming at the end of this month, I believe the 28th. Looks exactly like the Cingular version but perhaps a bit more darker of a gray shade. Too bad Verizon charges an extra $39.99/MO for the unlimited data... Cingular dropped their data to $29.99/MO and Tmobile, alebit sucks is only $19.99/MO.

I wrk for cing, but i have verizon I knw the tricks to get a different model for cing but what about verizon, my phn sucks the volume is so low i cant hear ppl, and when i try to replay a vm message it gets all slow and you cant understand the message

BOUGHT DAMN TIME 🙄

Does anyone know if Verizon is going to get any new slider phones soon? The only 2 I can think of are the Chocolate, but I don't want to spend over $300 (retail) for a phone where all I need is phone and maybe a cheap camera, and the old Kyocera Slider, which is hard to find. Ebay or trying to get sales reps to sell me a refurbished one... 🙄 I prefer style of features. All I need is a phone that looks cool, gets good signal, and is a slider.

Any idea on when the KRZR K1m will be released? When is the anticipated release of the V2 (VX9900)? Thanks!
