I've decided to put my LGvx6000 up on the shelf in favor of a Moto t730...just to see why everyone cries wolf in regards to Moto overall. So far (and this is only one day we're talking about) I've noticed that my Moto gets slightly better reception in my home and at work. I've yet to go out and about with the phone. I've also noticed that the t730's menu is not as intuitive as the LGvx6000's (at least not yet...that may change with use). The Moto, believe it or not, actually feels more substantial than the 6000. Other than that, there's the obvious. The screen on the 6000 is brighter and displays many more colors, and the voice volume and ringers seem louder with the 6000 as well (but not to a significant degree...the Moto still rings pretty...

I am in the market for a new phone with verizon and have visited the verizon retail stores and called a couple of sales rep and not one is in agreement on what and when a new model would be introduced. As far as i can surmise it will either be the LGvx4700 or the LGvx6100. Since im not particularly in the market for a camera phone or a PTT and furthermore i want to beat that new $15 activation fee implementation, i have decided on either the vx6000 or the vx4600. my question is (since no one carries the 4600 besides verizon.com) how the 65k screen on the 4600 compares with the 256k on the 6000 (since i can purchase either phone at the same price but not too crazy about the way the 6000 looks). i know my dilemma is trivial but thanks for ...

i saw a responce to an end of a verizon contract and someone mentioned "RETENTION" to get better deals on phones and plans. does someone have more info on "RETENTION"? phones i understand but how can verizon offer better deals on plans. i thought plans are set in stone.

How often is the PRL changed and how often should a customer update? Ratio to proportion, How many SIDs are added in relationship to deleted?

I have a strong contact at Verizon who, at my request, contacted his LG representative (whose role is to build awareness and answer questions from the VZW folks in his territory) regarding upcoming phone rollouts. They are as follows:

LG 7000 - late spring/early summer
LG 8000 - 3rd quarter
LG 6100 - 3rd or 4th quarter

We all know that things change with regard to rollouts, but this information is a close to "the horses mouth" as it gets.

Hope it's true....I'm looking to port to Verizon in late May, but not with the current phone lineup.

When first getting my phone my reception was good if not great everywhere I went. About a month later this ten mile stretch which takes up about half of my commute has turned into "Extended Area" and I cannot hold onto a call for more than 10 seconds. Any input on why this happened would be great thanks.

i'm new to verizon and don't know how the prl update works exactly. i decided to switch from the america choice plan, which i've just had for a week, to the local choice plan to get more minutes. the csr said i didn't need to do the *228 to get a new prl. is the prl the same for all plans? if not, is there any benefit to my not doing the update yet?

One tells me that with the Full Access thing that she can. But another tells me even with the Full Access thing, she cant. asked 2 salesman from the Verizon Store that had said yes. VzW needs a much better PTT / Picture phone, the V60p stinks, at best. Mono display and hamstringed by poor talk life.

Back in Nov 03, the SCP-5500 was on their role out plan, but I see nothing on this site anymore which indicates this phone is coming to VzW.

Hello all. A quick contract agreement question...I am on my first year of a 2yr agreement with Verizon and I need to upgrade my phone ASAP from a KWC2325 to a LG VX6000, Audiovox CDM8900, or even a Samsung a530s. I was told by a VZW sales rep. that in order to upgrade now I have to Pay the Manufacturer's price of either one of these phones. You can imagine the expression on my face 😳 . But I also read that you can upgrade your phone at anytime and pay the promotional price of the phone at that time but have to agree to a contract extention of another 2yrs. which is not a problem with me. But which is true can some one please help me!! 😢
