So the 8100 is going the way of the dodo, but is the 8110 our replacement?

I don't understand why there's always the need to get/activate a new SIM card. (when upgrading online or over the phone) I've had like 4 SIM cards since I started my service. At first they got me with the whole 3G apps thing... but what's in this one that I didn't have in my other one I got in Jan 07? I've asked around to those I know who are on Tmobile, and they don't get new SIM cards when they upgrade. I actually remember seeing the Tmobile rep taking the SIM card out of the box and keeping it a few weeks back when I went with a friend to upgrade her phone.
I wonder how this affects AT&T money wise.

By now, I'm sure most of you are aware of the keypad issue on the W580i. For those of you who are not, let me explain. The keys crack. Short and simple, huh? It happens a lot quicker to people who text a lot. I just had a girl come in with one. She has had it for about 2 weeks and all the keys are cracked.

WTF?!?

Before AT&T took over Cellular One, we got an email letting us know about the issue. The warning read as follows:

Sony Ericsson recently announced that select early production W580i handsets may be susceptible to hairline cracks appearing in the keypads. The “cracking” issue is mostly prevalent with customers who are heavy text messengers, but may be seen by any customer who applies frequent excessive pressure...

I was on the AT&T website looking at the rate plans when I noticed something odd. Under individual plans, they only have the 450, 900, 1350 and Unlimited. And under the family plans, they do not have the 6000 minute plan anymore. It makes sense because the individual plans above 1350 are more than $99 and the 6000 family plan is more than $199, but does this mean that the other plans are gone? Or is AT&T just trying to push the Unlimited plan? Any ideas?

The word on the street is that they changed the OS on it to Symbian...

Thinking of picking up the N95, US version, and wondering if it would work on AT&T's network. I read on a thread here that unlocked phones work on EDGE only, any truth to this?

I getting the AT&T pick your plan. It say in the brochure that you can add minutes in incriments of 15.00 or 25.00, how many minutes will 15.00 get you? I was guessing 150 minutes?

I applied online for a Wireless Technician 2 job in my area. Does anyone know if there is a way to check the status of my application or contact human resources? I could not find a number or anything online. Any input is appreciated.

Every customer that walks out with the tilt walks right back in to get rid of it. I am not happy with this device. Is there any real reason to push this phone. Reception is crap on it and it is not user friendly at all. Does anyone have a good experience with one? 😕
