Need Poll - iphone or Blackberry 8310

Ok people. Please don't flame me for this question. I will definitely be switching to AT&T tomorrow from Verizon. I am deciding between the iphone and the Blackberry Curve 8310. At this point, I'd be happy with either. Here is my main priorities (in order)...

1. Phone (must be a great communication device)
2. Email (am not a heavy user)
3. Internet (will use it frequently)
4. Durability
5. Style
6. Ease of use
7. Customization
I have a imac as my main computer at home and also a windows laptop. I would not consider jailbreaking the iphone. I currently own a ipod touch and love it.

Please, don't ask if I want a phone for business purposes or as a media toy. Like I said, I'd be happy with either. Money not an issue. Just want to h...

IM GONNA THROW THIS PHONE

I'm a little confused. I bought a brand new Samsung a117 to use on my go phone service. I have a motorola c168i and that gets FANTASTIC reception, with the a117 im lucky to get one bar of service. And yes, im not just looking at bars, I sometime cannot get a call out, or something.

I know my phone isn't defective or anything, because my friend has the same phone and the reception is crappy as well.... What gives??

Is the other samsung a127 better for reception, or should i just keep my motorola till it falls apart?

LOL

Thanks

Ran over the wifes phone....LOL

Yeah she dropped it as she was getting out of the car. I ran over her 6126. It still worked but the LCDs are toast. Since we have been month to month I looked at ATT's site to maybe get a pair of phones. There is nothing there worth paying $36 activation fee plus charges and waiting on rebates for and we have to get two phones.I don't need one.

So off to Ebay. $75 later another 6126. At least we have a back up battery and can use the broken phone as a charger for it/ LOL

We were going to get a 6555 but the 3G is causing battery life issues. HUGE complaint regarding that phone. Battery life. NO refub N75s left either.

Curiosity Question

Why is Motorola for GSM networks a better phone than Motorola CDMA networks phone.

Also, Im in the market for a new phone, I only have two Choices, the V3XX, or the Sony Erricson Slider Phone Thats Out.

I had the iphone but had to sell it because the cost was too much for right now, loved that phone though *tear*

Data question....

Ok, so I am one of those people who like to have two devices. A really nice one for work, etc. and a cheaper one to use when I do active outdoor kinda stuff, etc. The question I have is if I buy a blackberry plan with the unlimited blackberry data, can I then stick my sim in another phone (non pda device) and still have the internet work? I know I can't have unlimited media net and then use that on the blackberry, but can you do it the other way around?

SE phones battery life specs.

Looking for a new phone. I've researched the specs on this site. How com most SE phones have long battery life, but the rest of the brands seem much shorter. Does SE do something different or do they inflate the battery life numbers. Am leaning towards SE for that fact. Thanks in advance.

Should i switch to AT&T?? (vzw customer here)

I love the Curve and AT&T seems like a great solid carrier. Verizon is ok but I'm sick of being overcharged each and every month.

I'm interested in the Curve and unlimited text. How does that work with AT&T? What does the blackberry plan include and how much? How much for unlimited text?

Also are refurbs covered under warranty?

If I decide to go with a Palm or Blackjack how do the data plans work for those and how much??

Sony Ericsson K850i

I was just at my local mall and one of the kiosks had huge posters up advertising that the K850i would be released shortly. I asked one of the reps and he confirmed that they were getting the phone real soon. I thought that the deal was cancelled between At&t and SE??? What gives?? 🤨

Blackjack II or Blackberry 8310??

I'm thinking of upgrading my current phone and was thinking of these two...
Which has the best reception? Which is the most reliable and durable?
I travel a good bit and I'm in a lot of areas with subpar service (alabama market), so I need the best reception I can get. I want to be able to check the web (mostly sports scores) and check e-mail... I'd like to be able to sync to Outlook for calendar also.
I know they run on different OS's... is one more stable than the other? Are there significant advantages or disadvantages of one over the other?
Someone please sell me on one of these phones.
