Can I Do This ?? AT&T Reps

Hi. I have a question for any At&T reps or person that is knowledgeable.

I am going to switch from Verizon to At&t with my wife soon. We will get a family plan with 2 Blackberry 8310 phones. we will port our numbers over.

My question, I really want a iphone also. Can I open the account by getting the Blackberry and then immediately activate the iphone in it's place ? You see, I want to use the Blackberry during the week and the iphone on weekends. Is this possible ? Can I switch the sim card between the two ? I will purchase the Blackberry data plan when I open the account, will that work with the iphone ? I hope it's possible to have 2 phones that I can switch between. Can I have some advice on the best way to attempt this ? I'm not t...

for dealers

Just a question, but do you get deals on phones from AT&T and do you wait to get deals before you add the new phones to your order lists? Just wondering if everyone else is like us.

ATT retooling data plans Buh-Bye unlimited

The largest carrier in the US is poised to turn its entire data pricing and marketing strategy on its end according to a series of slides we've found entitled "Data & Messaging Plan Realignment - January 2008." First up, MEdia Net plans are being revised, and for the most part things seem to be getting a little cheaper. MEdia Max Unlimited, for example -- a plan that includes unlimited on-device data and messaging -- goes from $39.99 to an even $35. Next, tethering and data card plans are dropping the term "Unlimited" and imposing a "soft limit" of 5GB; users who consistently exceed that limit won't be charged overage but could be relieved of their plans if AT&T chooses to do so. As much as this sucks, it brings AT&T's official policy in lin...

New Features

Do any AT&T reps understand the new features? Our RAE gave us a general idea but it was really confusing, and i was wondering if anyone here knew or understood more than me. Thanks in advance

Why Nokia is superior...

Symbian Operating System...

Once people understand the capabilities of this operating system, which I think will happen once the n95 hits the us market, we will stop hearing "you guys sell the I-phone right?". Im sorry but having a locked interface with limited capabilities is only good if your a drone.

tri-band???

I am considering buying an unlocked phone on ebay; however, the phone is a tri-band phone(900/1800/1900). Will this phone work with the ATT network? If so, will the reception be the same on this phone as it would be on a quad band phone? Thanks

1 year contract

Does ATT offer 1 year contract?

I don't need a phone so the cheaper 2 year option doesn't concern me.

Thanks!

Just switched from Verizon

Hey guys, I just got a kick ass deal on a Blackberry curve(somehow got it for free with the refurb discount and also a coupon code). I live in the Minneapolis area in Minnesota. I have never had ATT, but one thing I loved about Verizon was the coverage. I had crystal clear calls and reception almost everywhere. The only reason I changed was because I couldn't pass up that deal for the curve. What does everyone in the Minneapolis area think of ATT? Hopefully I'll like ATT enough to keep it and drop verizon!

Who here...

...owns the Q9h? And if you do, how much do you love it? I'm currently sifting through the pros and cons of both the Q9h and the BlackJackII and I have to say, it's a true toss up.

Any input on either phone would be greatly appreciated!

real phone

When will AT&T offer some of the premier phones that are offerd by some of the other carriers?

AT&T BY FAR provides the best services BUT the choice of phones is in last place.

Is this a manufacture or sever issue??

Just curious

Clueless on Smartphones. Help!

My friend from work is planning on getting her first cellphone with AT&T. She really wants a smartphone to keep her life organized and together, I guess 🙄 . She asked me for advice and now I'm here cause I have no clue and have never owned a smartphone.

So I'm here for help. Any brands that are decent and get good call quality? Does she have to get a data plan with it? What do those run? I have no clue what else I should ask, so any info that anyone can give me would be awesome.

Thanks for the help 🙂

Service or Phone Problem?

Hi

I am a former AT&T Wireless employee. I've always loved the service and always thought AT&T had the best phones. I've always always bought Nokia phones.

I moved from the NY area to Texas 6 years ago. Is there a difference in coverage between the 2 areas?

My real issue is that my husband and I both bought Samsung Syncs 6 months ago. AND WE HATE THESE PIECE OF CR@P PHONES!!! 😕 We constantly drop calls...no matter where we are. Even in Vegas we dropped calls!!! (so it's not just our area). Both phone drop calls. And when a friend of mine went to sign up with AT&T Wireless, they told her to stay away from the Sync, because they are notorious for dropping calls!!!

So now I am having to dish out more money...to buy another phone...
