I need a GSM provider. Both Cingular and T-mobile have coverage in my area. Both have cool phones that I like. I have Verizon now.

So, people convince me why I should join the orange empire or stay away.

I was wondering if any of you have upgraded to the LG CU500 with Cingular and been asked (coerced, forced, whatever)to sign on to the new MEdia Works package at $29.99.

I currently have an older model with the $14.99 monthly Media Net package (5MB of internet service and 1,000 texts) which has usually been sufficient for my web needs. Checking e-mail, minor web browsing, google searches, etc. I wasn't sure if data is pushed out to this phone differently and someone who normally uses 2-4Megs of internet would now need the unlimited due to larger file sizes or if it was just an upsell.

Is Cingular every going to get any N series Nokia phones or the 6282 Nokia slider?

I had a customer call into today about his account. It has been nonpay disconnected for about 60 days and has been sent to collections. First, he wanted to know why his bill was $1800.00. He had about $800 in unpayed service and $650 in ETF from 6 lines. Also, the collection agency added an 18% collection fee. Even if we collect it, we have to charge the 18% because we have to pay the collection agency. He wanted 3 of the 6 lines reconnected and he wanted to pay ONLY for the service and NOT the ETF. Also, he wanted us to make it so he could pay online. Yeah, right. Two problems: 1) the mobile numbers have already been recycled and are no longer attatched to the account. This means he would have to set up BRAND NEW service and pay activation ...

can you smell another lawsuit?

Hey,
I've switched over to cingular in early august, and thus far, i'm really impressed with it! Verizon blows chunks in comparison.
Here's the problem, i have the razr, and once in a while, the little gprs icon next to the reception bars will disappear. Calls still seem to work during this time, but not data (obviously). Why is this happening? Is it an issue with the phone, or the service in my current area?

Has anyone taken an unlocked w810 and a cingular w810 to actually see what the differences are?

I am very curious. After seeing the cingular dummy phone for the w810i, I have been having second thoughts about waiting for the cingular branded w810's.

So the question becomes, yet again, Cingular branded? or Unlocked?

What are the upgrade policies? Is it like Verizon's 22 months or is it a full 24 months on a phone before you upgrade? Tha 🙂 nks

when cingular is going to release any new phones on WM5? I have been waiting so long for a nice PDA with keyboard, etc. but they have nothing good, and the 8125 is by FAR way too slow. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Then, you have the RAZR. Who, in the wireless industry, likes the RAZR? Most of the reps I speak with and the reps that post here seem to hate it. Someone posted a while back that the only reason we hear so much bad stuff about the RAZR is because of the sheer number out there. This is partially true. Another reason is because IT SUCKS. I have had customers that have had there RAZR replaced 3-4 times and finally either get a comparable phone (LG CU500) or get their upgrade eligability overridden or cancel. Motorola needs to focus less on form and design and more on everything else. "How can a guy who owns 2 Motorolas say this?" Because it is true. I'd like some feedback on this phone please. I've read so many comments about volume and RF problems with this phone. From your experience are there a lot of problems and or returns of this phone. It sure seems like a good phone to me.

I am considering a full time sales position with Cingular in Texas. I currently work for Verizon Wireless in customer service.

Can someone give me an idea of how the commission works for Cingular or any other relevant information? This is a tough decision because I am happy with my job now, I am just looking to get into retail sales.

Yay im excited i got my first shipment of the w810's!!!!

So i bought a unlocked version of this phone and was wondering when i right click a folder to check the memory status of the folder a option shows up to format my memory stick. Why would i need to format it?

I dont know if anyone on here is familiar with Neil Boortz. He is a radio talk show host out of Atlanta. I was listening to his talk show the other day and had mentioned that he had gone into a major wireless carrier (he didnt name the carrier) and wanted to activate a wireless internet card. Te rep, of course, needed his ssn to do a credit check. Boortz explained to the cust that a credit check wasnt necessary as he was going to pay for the service a year in advance...and since the service was for unlimited usage his bill should be the same every month.
