HELP!...I need to get back in touch with a phone sales rep!!!

Is there any way to get in touch with a sales rep? I spoke to a guy last week about doing a migration. He gave me his name and ext, but I must have wrote the phone number down wrong. I have 877-754-6047 and an ext. I want him to get the sale because he was SOOOOOO helpful. When I called 866-246-4852, I was told there wasn't a way to get him, but they could help me. I'm in sales and I know how some sales people are about getting $$$.

Why Cingular sucks

Here is the main reason that Cingular sucks. Cingular takes a lot of the idiots that they have working for them and they make them supervisors and managers, and then the good smart people that actually know how to do their jobs can't do them properly, because having an idiotic supervisor is very draining and it burns people out very quickly. Cingular would be a better company if they could just start throwing out the idiots starting from the CEO's office and going down.

Help here?!?

😳 😳 😳

All of you in GSM phone land...

Have you ever heard of the Motorola m900 fixed car phone?

I have heard our local Alltel/Western Wireless/CellularOne stores bragging about this phone being the answer to a bag phone (supposed to have 3 watts of power w/o needing a booster to get there). Apparently Motorola is now making an m800 which handles CDMA/Analog? ANY HELP ON THIS ONE WOULD GREAT?!? 😳

Trivia question!

Ok, ok. I admit it. I'm actually trying to get the answer to this question....

How many calls can a GSM 850MHz tower hold at the same time?
How about a 1900MHz tower?

Contract expires in 3 weeks, phone having problems, need some advice....

I've got 2 phones on the account, and they aren't really working very well. Dropped calls......having problems hearing the person on the other end. I don't think it's the network (I have Cingular), but I think it's the phones. I'll have around 5 bars, and the person on the other line will be clipping out. We have the Sony T-637 model. Do I try to get a replacement phone (would they give me one?)......this phone has been discontinued. My wife has experienced the same problems on her phone as well. Anyone been through this before? I should've opted for the insurance, I suppose - but it's within it's 1 year warranty, right? I'd sorta like to stay with Cingular, because I have 6,000 rollover minutes accrued.....but I need a good reliable phone(...

COMMISSION CHANGES IN 2006

Just wondering if anyone has heard of the new comp plan or any thoughts if you might think it will get better? Im on the fence right now about either stating with cingular and weathering out the storm or jumping ship and getting rescued by t-mobile. granted they are a smaller company but im looking at it from a money stand point. being a former blue rep is frustrating because i think about where i was and what the company is now. any thoughts????

Info on the T-807?

So I was reading some info on phonescoop and under the section where it talks about the new megapixel samsungs coming out it mentioned the T-807. From what I read its suppose to be the Cousin of T-Mobiles T-809, and Europe's T-800. From the list of features listed for the phone it sounds identical to the T-809. The article also mentions that its most likely coming to Cingular second quarter of 2006. If anyone has any info on differences between the T-807 and the T-809 and can confirm whether this phone is actually coming to Cingular please let me know. This is the first Ive heard of this phone so any info at all would be great.

Early Termination Fees

This is for customer (both current and potential), and, unfortunately, some representatives as well.

Early Termination fees cannot be waived because you move from one area that has Cingular coverage to an area that "does not" have Cingular coverage. Customers, I don't mean to be harsh, and I say this with the upmost respects, but don't call Cingular Wireless thinking that you can cancel (while your still under contract) without any penalties. Terms of Service agreements are there for a reason, and to be honest, you need to read these carefully. It used to be where you had to SIGN an agreement, which stated this. Now it's gotten to the point where you are REQUIRED to read them and accept them from the website upon signing up online, or...

Setting the record straight!

Alright lets get everything straight because it looks like quite some people that have posted here do not know what they are talking about.

1. To the guy that said he wanted a world wide standard adopted here in the us, well, he must be anti-capitalism. Why? Because we have competition, and it is keeping us in the running with low prices.

2.Yes the 3G update path for GSM is UTMS. But it uses the air-interface of cdma instead of tdma. The tech being used is called WCDMA and this is what Cingular is using for their new UMTS phones. So generically both gsm and cdma are combining to form a hybrid technology throughout the world.

3. Sprint is Sprint. HA And verizon had EV-DO way before you guys did. ATT wireless turned on 6 WCDMA sites b...

Z520 or 6102

My friend is wanting to get a new flip. She likes Nokia so I recommended the 6102. I know it doesn't have bluetooth, but it does have an FM radio (I'm sure that requires a earpiece to use though). The other option is the Z520 which does have bluetooth, but I don't think that is a big deal to her. She loves a camera phone. She has been using the Moto V400 for almost 2 years now. So of the two I mentioned, which has a better camera? I know they are both VGA but the VGA camera on the Sony T637 was awful. It seems like the memory is substantially greater on the Z520, which I presume would be able to hold alot more pictures, and video. How about pricing, which one is better in that category? And overall, which phone would the people with experien...

Can You Still Add This Option???

Cingular in late 04 was allowing customers to add the GAIT option if they had a GSM Nation plan (and of course had a 6340i to make it work). Is that still being offered?

I live in the Southeastern Missouri area, zip code 63701, in case that helps answer the question.

Thanks,

John

Debating a switch

I've been with T-mobile for almost 3 years now and have in the last 6 mos to year become more and more dissatisfied with their service.

As a result I'm shopping around for a new cell company.

I have a few questions about plans and services.

1) Is it possible to do a 1 year contract directly thru Cingular or do you have to go to a reseller offering 1 year contracts?

2) If signing a 2 year contract, are you required to wait the full 2 years before getting the special pricing on handset upgrades?

3) Is anyone aware of how the service is in any/all of the following cities:

Minneapolis.
Houston.
Boston.
San Diego.
San Francisco.

(Im in the midst of looking for new employment and have a couple of nibbles in these cities)
...

Lost phone - if I activate Lockline replacement, do I lose upgrade option with Cingular?

I lost my phone last week - just days before I was eligible to upgrade to a better phone with Cingular.

I started my contract in March, but a rep looked at the computer last month and said I was eligible for an upgrade on Jan 8.

I called Cingular and was put through to LockLine for an insurance replacement of a refurb Nokia 6620, which is what I originally had.

I'm hoping insurance replacement is a completely separate thing from upgrade eligibility, am I correct?

1. Did I do the right thing, or should I have gone to a Cingular store and tried to upgrade. I was in Puerto Rico at the time so my options were limited.

2. Is there any reason not to activate this phone I received tonight from LockLine?

If for some reason it wo...

Looking for advice...

Hi,
Our two year contract is up with Cingular and we are now on a month to month basis. We have a family talk plan with 3 lines -- we pay $39.99 for the first line and 9.99 each for the two additional lines. We all have Samsung S307 phones and the service in our home is terrible -- two of the phones are especially bad. We have to stand near a door or even go outside in order to use the phone and not have dropped calls.

We would prefer to remain with our existing plan and not enter into a contract, since we are happy with the current rate and amount of shared minutes we have. We are eligible for phone upgrades, but if we don't sign a new contract, do we have to pay full price on the phones? Does anyone have any suggestions other th...
