I have an expired AT&T contract through my work (Business contract) that I'm month to month on...

I was interested in adding a data plan.. is this possible without re-upping on contract (or, more specifically, possible without a migration).. can I be placed on an old blue data plan?? Another year contract with my old blue calling plan is not a problem..

went to my local radio shack and the sales rep said starting new years day they will have cingular..my question is,the rep at radio shack told me they will have the black razr v3 for $29.99.I asked him if there were any data packages to buy or any rebates and he said no!! if this hold true,is this a good deal even through radio shack??? i have a mall gift certificate i got for x-mas and was told by radio shack i could use this toward the phone.so for basically $9.99 i can sign up for cingular....to good to be true,any thoughts and or opinions would be great....HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL....

just wanted to see what everyone thought about me switiching over to cingy from vzw. i am a little weary of cingys service in the tri state area specifically Long Island. I was used to great service with vzw. My mom has cingy and her phone always seems to have a lot of static. i truly hope this is not the case with my cingy 2125 (the real reason i switched). Should i be worried and or should I wait for the Moto Q to come out for vzw? thoughts, comments, concerns.

quick question. i have some crazy friends that leave me some pretty goofy messages. does anyone have a method to actually record their voicemail messages so i can put in on my computer? i mess with music production and some of their voicemails would make for some funny interludes. i know that some phones have a voice recorder but with the phones i have currently the quality is horrible.

I am a former ATT Wireless customer with a sponsorship account, and I could use some help with new plan options. My contract expired.

As I understand it, we can no longer buy ATT phones and I would like to get a new PDA or high-end phone. I am happy with my current plan.

Is there any way to get a new phone without buying it elsewhere? If I do migrate to Cingular, can I get 2 year phone pricing with a 1 year contract? Any special deals or promotions (like free early evenings) upcoming?

Any answers and suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Does anyone know whether or not if the signals from the antennas in a wireless home network affect GSM phones or the GSM antennas on these phones? Reason asking, I have a wireless networks setup in my apartment with a computer in my bedroom (which is where the wireless router with antenna and cable modem are located) and then I have another desktop computer setup in my living room (with a wireless PC card which also has an antenna).

I notice everytime I use a Motorola phone, I can never get a signal in my apartment (currently using the RAZR). Just wondering if its the signals crossing each other and the wireless network in my apt is stronger than the GSM signal, totally clueless but somethings not right, or is it just that its a Moto ph...

I agree 100% with you nygiants about company store employees. I'm out here in McKinney, a suburb of Dallas, and we have (I feel) the best reputation in town, and we're an agent location. The local 'blue' store, while im sure they can be helpful sometimes, typically pisses off their customers and they come up here for better customer service.

The motiviation behind the excellent customer service is the fact that we have to rely on repeat business to make money. I make about 3/4 hourly rate compared to a company RSO or blue store, and a really crappy comm reate to boot. (that is why I'm leaving the company) HOWEVER- I had one customer tell me...

Well at the end of March I will be saying bye-bye to NEXTEL. Their continued lack of capacity in South Florida which causes me to drop calls to no end and their in-ability to remain operational after minimal CAT 1 and 2 hurricanes, while other carriers remained operational, is causing me to switch.

I had the opportunity to demo the Cingular PTT and honestly it was pretty decent and light years of Verizon PTT that I demo'ed a few weeks ago.

Their family plans, rollover minutes, and M2M look very reasonable cost wise and even though my NEXTEL plan isn't set to expire for another 2 months, the rep was very helpful as he saw that I knew the technology as well as he did and I did my homework.

They among with other public interest groups have started a petition against new dockets in front of the FCC that will prevent your state/local government from interfering in any way with cellular carriers.

Instead the dockets will install new rules which are favoring the industry and not the consumer in every way.

what'll cingular's 3g spectrum be? a 1900 band? 850? 2100? what's the deal? honestly i want to know so when my city gets it i'll be able to get a phone for it. and what's up with all these big cities getting it despite the new york/new jersey metro area?

i just switched from an at&t family plan to one with cingy. we kept our numbers but now all 3 lines show my name, the owner of the acct, on a land line caller id. i called cingy to have it changed back to the way it was and was told it can't be done. are you telling at&t could have all 3 lines show the name of the person for each phone and that cingy can't? tell me the customer care rep was mistaken!
