what's a better choice.. of unlocked phone to use on cingular...

i was thinking sony ericsson w600i or motorola razr v3i..

they're about the same in specs.. different form factors though.. and razr v3i has bigger screen and has memory card slot.. they're only maybe 50 dollars difference in price.. but yea with the razr being 400 and the w600i 350.

v3i has an external memory card slot.. and sleeker design..

and although w600i isn't the most popular phone, that means less people have it.. unlike the totally mainstream//overrated razr. it's kinda bulky..

and then again.. the new razr looksjust like the old once except maybe for the color... and no one would be like oh is that a new razr ? they'd just think i have the same one as everyone else in a custom color...

i'm only leaning towards t...

In need of some help.

I have a very nice customer who purchased a Treo 650 from me. He is a lawyer and people are emailing him constantly. He purchased this device under the impression it would open and read PDF files. He states that in the manual it says it will work. Unfortunatly it doesnt. He along with multiple co-workers of his get an error whenever opening up a PDF file via VersaMail. I logged onto palms website and there was a post saying that users would have to convert the "Native PDF" file, into one the Treo would support. This post was made in 2004 though so Im not sure if they fixed this. Has anyone heard anything like this? Any help?

cingular PTT and sprint/nextel DC

Hey. I was just wondering if anyone out there had any thoughts about cingulars new PTT and nextels DC. Does anyone think that now that Cingular has PTT they might put a hurt on nextels DC? Just looking for a little input on the subject.

New Phones

Good afternoon to all,

Of course you know income tax season is here! Yay! I want to get a new phone soon (within the next 2 months possibly), but I don't want to get something now and then something better is right around the corner. For instance, I don't want to get the Treo 650 and the newer version comes out the next week. With that being said, anyone know what new toys are coming out soon? I heard from a Cing rep that a new Blackberry will be out soon...don't know how true that is.

Anyone have any ideas what new toys are on the way?

Question on buying multiple phones at once.

In March I will be cancelling my NEXTEL service and transferring me, the wife, folks, and in-laws for a total of 5 phones on one Cingiular family plan at the same time.

My question is on the pricing of the phones, what is the limit on the number of phones that can be purchased at the discounted rate and how many have to be purchased at the full price? I can't find anything in the documentation that the store gave me last week.

Thanks in advance....

Cingular Answertones!

So I don't think cingular has launched this officially per say... but it's there on your phone. You know verizon's ringback tones? Where these are the same idea, but you can customize them for each caller too! Just dial *8663 from your cingular cell. A customer actually came up and told me this... lol and I work for an agent company and had no idea!
Anyways I thought it was cool that cingular finally got these... I have been wanting one. Any way I can customize my phone I will do it!

It's a 1.99 per tone
and 99 cents a month to use it. The tones expire after one year of use. The system will read you all the T's C's when you find one you want. There isn't a huge selection available yet, Which is maybe why it hasn't officially launched ye...

Rate plan pricing

Most customers whose plans are coming off contract were signed up when there was more competition in the wireless industry. Since the Cingular-ATTW and Sprint-Nextel mergers, competition has decreased and pricing has definitely increased. Albeit with some additional plan benefits.

2 years ago, all national carriers except T-Mobile were offering 900 sharable minutes for $60 and additional lines for $10. The base minutes on sharable plans mirrored the number of minutes that were available on individual plans. Individual lines could also get 900 minutes for $60.

Since then, pricing on individual plans has remained almost the same at Cing., VZN, and Sprint, except that the steps between rate plan levels is not $10 but $20.
Pricing on ...

w600i I have a question

I send alot of text messages. The phone that I have now saves the last 10 recent numbers that I have sent a message to, which makes it easy to send text messages instead of having to type the number each time. Does this phone have something like that? Thanks for your help
