So... Rate-plan changes aren't retro-active?

As in, if I had a Regional plan, and I leave my region for a vacation, then within a week of returning change my plan to a National, the roaming charges from that week won't clear?

'Cuz, uh, that's what the Cingular rep who made the change for me had said. Someone here had also reassured me it was.

My $130 bill disagrees.

PTT - My Review

i know i posted this a few times on another thread but it didnt pop up at the top like i thought and i didnt want my review to get over looked, SOOOOOOOO here i go again.

while i havent got the samsung for my cou our store has two live lg 7200 ptt's that me and my co-worker are usin.

the clarity and volume is real good. the clarity is much better than nextels in my opinion. the connection time is of course a down side but a 5 sec average connection time isnt as bad as it sounds. and once its connected you cant notice any latency difference with a nextel.
the way its set up is kinda like you instant message buddy list. when you login initially login to the ptt feature you are propted to create a user name which is s...

Blackberry/Treo refurbs...

I don't know if this is just my market, area code 18929, but on cingular.com they have Blackberry and Treo refurbs, for $69.99 and $139.99 respectively.

I sell cingular all day, everyday. I have no gripes with cingular. But doesn't this seem a little wrong? We've all seen the problems with the Treo, namely. Haven't seen any really with the Blackberry. But doesn't it seem wrong to activate a customer with one of those, have them sign a two year commitment, and probably have to use two warranty claims in a year? Maybe even more?

Any thoughts, please..

something funny(nokia & motorola)

All the nokia fanboys who bash all other mobile phone companies here something funny the 6230 and the 6682 both been discontinued by cingular. Yet the motorola v551 is still here and has been for almost a year. The all mighty mobile company has been D*** slapped by a midrange motorola flip!!!

ahahahah

RAZR V3i -- I want it

http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo »

So Motorola has officially announced the "RAZR2" formally known as the V3i. And I officially want this phone now.

Motorola says it will be out in the 4th quarter of 2005. Any ideas as to when Cingular will release it?

Very upsetting situation.

I have never had a problem that was not fixed with Cingular... until now. Recently I purchased a Nokia 6682. As plenty of you know it had many problems and was recalled. I called tonight to get it replaced with the same thing, or something similar and here is how the call went:

She first told me I was ineligible to get a replacement phone because insurance was added to my account 10/15, which is later than when I got the phone. I explained to her that I had insurance on the phone long before that time, but I had upgraded my insurance from the normal 3.99 to the 4.99. Then i told her that this was a defect within the phone and shouldn't matter if i had insurance or not. After we finally came to an understanding and i was about to get...

Problems staying connected

I seem to be having a problem with my Cingular service that has my wife thinking about switching. We both have Motorola V400 phones and it seems that they are consistently dropping calls. No I understand this can happened when you are moving and switch between towers but this is happening while staying in one place at home or at work. It seems too that my phone does not receive as good a signal at my house as it used to. Where once I had 4 or 5 bars, I now have 2 or maybe three on a good day. It is kind of ironic since there is a Cingular billboard just down from the house boasting amazing network coverage. At any rate, does anyone have any suggestions for how to improve the reliability of my Cingular service?

Thanks

to all Call Center Reps

STOP SENDING PEOPLE TO MY STORE TO GET FREE SIM CARDS. I AM NOT A COR STORE.

Just because it says Cingular on the list of stores, doesn't mean it's a COR. We're an exclusive retailer and NO, we do not give free SIM cards. On that note, I do appreciate it when you send upgrade customers my way. Just please call first to be sure if the store you are sending the customer to is a COR or not. You have no idea how upset these customers can get.

You tell me?

So today I'm in Wal-Mart (you know reception hell 👿 ) and I'm on my phone just TALKING and not really paying attention. Then it dawned on me, "I'm getting a signal EVERYWHERE that I've been in the store LOUD n CLEAR". I couldn't believe it, cause usually service at Wal-Mart is spotty at best. Thus the question beckons, new tower OR repeater? 😕 Firstly, general opinions are welcome! Secondly, if there are any Wal-Mart people who know if Wal-Mart even allows repeaters you too are also welcome to respond! Thirdly you all tell me???? 😕

Voluntary Suspend

Does anybody know if you can do a voluntary suspend with cingular? I know with Verizon you can do a voluntary suspend for up to 90 days twice in a 1 yr period and you have to pay $15.00 to do it and you dont have to pay for service for that time but your contract extends that many days. I am just curious to know if Cingular has the same type of thing cause i may be leaving the country for a few months and don't wanna take my phone so i would like to not have to pay for it for that time and don't mind extending my contract either. Thanks for your input.
