Whats the deal here? I have searched and searched...some say there is no differance some say there is a huge differance. I am going to get either the treo or the blackberry 7100. I will be using it with email and web browsing. I need to know what plan is better and why it is better.

Can anyone tell me why Cingular has dropped this phone and what phone they will replace it with?

this probably only relates to a few people out there.. but i was going through my charge backs for features and i noticed something great.. a customer of mine called in to care and wanted more text.. she curently had the 4.99 200 texts.. so some nice Customer care rep changed it to the 9.99 and kept it in my name! go figure 😁 as many of us RSC's know this is 70% of feature charge back is customers doing this.. so again thanks for all the CSR's out there who do this.. we all thank you and appreciate it 🙂

I am in the middle of upgrading my phone with Cingular. Last time I got the crappiest phone. Dropped calls galore! I do not want to make the same mistake again so I am doing my homework this time. Cingular told me that reception varies from area to area so I was hoping someone on here may be from my area and could offer me their opinion.

I purchased this phone from the internet (not from Cingular), upgrading memory to 512MB . When i tried to download songs, it halted at 218 MB or about 45-50 songs total. What seems to be a problem ? can it be fixed ? Thanks

What is the best Cingular camara phone for RECEPTION in the McHenry, Woodstock, IL area?

A friend of my wife's just called Cingular to get her business discount put on her account and her Husband's. They informed her that she would have to transfer her husband's account into her name in order for his phone to get the discount too. So she wanted to do this. The rep then proceeded to tell her that it was an $18 dollar fee to change the name/financial responsibility on the account. Is this correct???? I have never heard of this before. Please let me know.

I have been an Exclusive dealer for almost 12 years for AT&T/Cingular. I was a top dealer in my state for 5 or six years. I have seen alot of mistakes made through these years, but what was handed down on 11/1/05 may as well be the worst decision by a CEO since C. Michael Armstrong screwed up AT&T in the late 90's. Cingular will abandon ALL Indirect Dealers, whether exclusive or not, as of 12/31/05. This is at least 60% of their new activation base. Only the Exclusive Preferred Agents are remaining. In my state there are two that I know of, and only one in the southern half of my state with 3 stores. That coupled with the two corporates is five. Granted, 200+ dealers is too much, but 5 is a gross underestimate. None of which have many that u...

I think that it is crap that Cingular has the largest customer base & doesnt offer customer service 24 hours a day. The thing that I think is RIDICULOUS is that Cingular isnt open on Sundays. Other that that, I am decently satisfied with my service.

here is why

TF card is only to store on. Pictures cannot be stored at the highest resolution on the phone. They must go on the card

Itunes has a 100 song max (possibly 25). Again must be stored on card

Even though inital reports are mixed, v3i has less on board storage than v3c.

and no edge!!!!

And last but not least not even Sigman wants this phone. thoughts?

I've been with Verizon for a long time now, and in the last few months I've started to reach the end of my rope with them.

I can deal with their "lack of cool phones" to a certain extent, but recently they've started to pull some more BS that I'm not happy with.

I've been waiting anxiously for the CDMA RAZR (yes, I know it's been out on Cingular for a long time), and now I come to find out that Verizon is putting some piece of junk generic UI that they put on some of their other phones on this one, and I'm totally annoyed. It looks like crap and is so simple and basic just because pf all the stupid people out there can't figure out how to access the main menu correctly. I would at least like a choice on which UI to have on my phone...

Wow....all this technology. I am excited about having PTT capabilities, using the high speed 3G UMTS/HSDPA network, listening to/downoloading MP3's and snapping pix with at least a 1.3MP camera. Unfortunetly the way Cingular is going....I need to have a seperate handset to enjoy all of these features. The first 2 PTT phones are BORING and thats all they do...no camera...no NOTHING. All I am saying is all these cool features need to be on EACH handset. Cingular....get it together. Your customers want to experience all of this great technology, but at the current moment you would have to own at least 4 handsets to utilize all the modern marvels available. Any comments?

sorry to be a bother...but I was just at the Cingular store wanting to look at this ROKR phone en vivo. Stupid lady couldn't find a motorola charger for me to take a look at it. I said 'its ok, I bought one on the 'net so I don't have to sign a contract...::bye::'; almost certain she was PO'd. Anywho, there was this guy salesman and he was telling me about the updates that are sent through the carriers towers automatically. He mentioned that if I did purchase an unlocked version of a phone, the system would not recognize the IMEI and I therefore would not get any soft/firm-ware updates.

Is this true. Man, I am totally paranoid about this purchase now...
