Why have some stated on this forum that the N80 had been canceled for Cingular for "a better product at the same price", but no one has substantiated this claim, or what this "better product" is. And we wonder how rumors get started.

I opened my account with Cingular for 3 phones 9/25/05. Because the reception in our area was so poor I decided to switch to Verizon. I have an email from Cingular customer service verifying that my account was closed as of 10/21/05. Well, I just received a bill from them for over $700, which includes 3 early termination fees! All phones were previously returned to them.

Has anyone else had this happen? In case they give me a hard time, any advise? This really makes me mad!

Go to the MediaNet page a look for the intro. There are two new phones, which ones could they be? Hmmmmmmm...

i have been told you cannot keep the same # and go from an att tdma prepaid to a cingular gsm go phone does anyone know if there is a way to do this. i work in pos and if you try to migrate it will not allow you to check the pre paid box.if the ss# was put in correctly when activated it will allow you to convert it to post pay but thats it.

Later this week I'm supposed too sit down with one of Cingular's VPs, I'm guessing to give her feedback on what Cingular is doing right, where they could improve, and what they need to do to stay competitive in the marketplace. Here's a chance for customers and employee's to give some feedback. So, What would you ask Cingular?

So, this past weekend I got an email and a text message about a "new improved MEdiaNet" that would be active "soon." Anyone have any idea when I will actually see this new MEdiaNet? When is it going live?

i live in minnesota and i'm just wondering should i stay with Cingular or go with t-mobile? And Cingular Data plans are horrible, when will they get cheaper?

With the new version of Media Net coming, the Screen3 feature of the Motorola v557, and multimedia type phones like the Sony Ericsson w600...we should wonder if there's going to be something similar to Sprint TV, like a Cingular TV service or something like it, other than MobiTV. With streaming radio now offered on a few phones now, are better multimedia type offerings coming with the new Media Net and the newer phones around the holidays?

We have a 2 line family plan and our contract ends in late november and we want to switch carriers, and probably will go with cingular, because of plans and phones. we want the razr, and actually don't need the new ones, we'd do fine with the old ones, either silver or black.

basically, would we get better pricing, both on the razrs and plans, switching between dec 1 and christmas, or wait until after xmas and after the new razrs flood the market, like sometime into the first month or two of the new year?

What gives? This phone is now off the list of available phones even here on Phonescoop.
I know you can't get one in the stores and warranty service can't exchange it because they don't have any.
I wonder what all this means for this phone. Anyone have any real information?

Our quality and training has recently changed.

Im a WSC (warranty service center) rep for cingular.

We have recently gone through numerous new training classes (re-education training) with our new quality guidelines. in the past, we had 2 specific things to do as reps. Solve there problem, or exchange thier phones. If none of the above, trans to Customer care, and let them handle it.

In our training, we are still limited to specific things. We are now social prostitutes w/ this new quality. our calls are monitored, and our pay is bassed off of our quality/professionalism/empathy towards our customers. we are to treat customers like they are the one and only. and that we are mr. and mrs. cingular.

That’s just whack that cingy don’t have in store technicians to help their customers out. That’s got to be one of many reasons that da customers be bailing hard core on them. When I walk into the verizon store I feel like I’m pulling into a Les Schwab they come running and solve any problems I got or swap my phone out on the spot. Cingy needs to be able to do that for its customers don’t you think?

hey i currently have the v551 and have been through 4 of them going on five if i let them process this return. i called in a few minutes ago only to hear there is no compareable phone to my v551. i argued and pleaded to this guy he said the only option he is givin to choose from is the v551. i'm sick of this phone it always gives me the network to busy when trying to make a call, the pictures i take after i save them it makes the photos look like the ones on THE RING ( u know the stretched photoshop look). i argeud with him for a while only to hear him say he couldn't do anything. and i asked him is their any other solution for me to get a new phone he said try customer care and see if they can work something out.

If i were to buy a Blackberry 7290 and get the unlimited Xpress Mail Blackberry Add on for $44.99; would that give me unlimited emails and data? Would i be able to surf web with that plan, or have to buy something additional?
