YAY! finally the best wireless company ever is coming back in a way.....BUt cingular is stupid they spent sooooooo much money trying to get RID of ATT now they want to change the whole company to at&t I think att should have came out again as another name like att mobile that would have been great....THERE isn't goin to be a real change its just the name cingular is still going to have there bad rude REPs. BUt I mean they do have GOOD COVERAGE 🙂

Like there's only one of 'em. Maybe you guys don't know what I mean, but it seems that every customer finds it of utter importance to instantly blurt out that they are on a family plan, right when you address their visit to the store.

*shrugs.

Kinda annoys me.

cingular has realized that they have done alot to not gain as many customers so they are rebranding so they can make money off of independent agents having to buy new signage clothing etc.

I am getting cingular either today or tomorrow but i need to make a choice if phones. I like the HTC Wizard / 8100 / 8125 / 9100 / K-JAM the Sony Erickson S710a, and the Nokia N80. Which do u think is better. I am interested in:
1. Camera
2. Reception (In New York City)
3. Ease of use
4. Music Player

I know the S. E. S710a is already out but when will the HTC Wizard / 8100 / 8125 / 9100 / K-JAM come out and how much will it be with a contract? Also when will the Nokia N80 be coming to the US and how much will that be with a contract?

I have been with Cingular for about one year and service in my area not the greatest would like to take my two numbers back with old carry, will miss all the cool phones but I will be back in a couple of years when my area has more towers. Thanks for any help! 🙂

May be switching soon and was wondering if anyone has had either good or bad signals and call quality in southwest Virginia, particularly, Roanoke-Christiansburg-Blacksburg. Also, up I-81, on 64 through to Richmond and Hampton Roads area, especially Williamsburg in between Richmond and Newport News. Any personal experiences welcome!

Does anybody have an opinion on which unit is better? I know the the Blackberry 7105T is T-mobile and the 7100G is Cingular. I am trying to decide which unit is better and that will help me choose which provider to go with.

Hey Tex I just mapquested Lamesa, and unfortunately I won't be stopping buy for a visit as its a 6 hour drive from CTX. Maybe if im ever 'round Abiline ill take a detour... that is if you will have me. 😉

I was just wondering if it is difficult to type text messages on the RAZR with the flat key pad...looking at getting one, but I am a little nervous about that keypad for typing texts....Let me know what you razr ownders think!

Have you guys noticed that navigating thru media net is much slower since they changed it. It's nicer and all, but my V551 is crawling from screen to screen. Could it be my phone? Anyone else experiencing this?

how do I know if the iTunes song I am downloading is in acc format or not? This ROKR phone I have is only downloading about 30 songs (grrrrrr). Do I need to buy a larger card? Is the phone a bum phone?

This has been asked before I'm sure but I cant find a thread recently that answers my question.
Im looking for a phone that has great reception and bluetooth on Cingular. I dont care about the web or ringtones or camera...although I would consider phones with cameras if they are exceptional performers in reception and have bluetooth.
Good battery life is important as well. Just your basic phone that can withstand being dropped etc.


I have had very bad luck with Motorola after my V60 fiasco....so I prefer others but willing to reconsider if you recommend a particular phone.

So I got an e-mail from palm saying that there is a new ROM update available for Cingular customers. It says it is version 1.17 but when I go to the website it says 1.15.... what gives? Did anyone get the new 1.17?

Well I have a motorola v400 and its about ready to die out and luckily I'm elegible to upgrade this comming tuesday 😁, but right now it seems that cingular has NO good phones whatsoever. Anything new comming out soon? I'm looking for a megapixal camera phone w/video, removable memory card (not a must but would REALLY like it), music player is a nice addition but not required, 265k screen, it doesn't matter if its flip, bar, slide, swivel, and bluetooth is cool to. Any phones like this comming to Cingular in the next week to a month? Or is it better holding off til like Januray? Thanks!

As everyone knows (or at least should know) the Firefly came out on Cingular. At first I thought, "Smart Move" but now i'm wondering why parents would buy this, when a 6010 is free.

and if the kids have the capability to use it as a normal phone, the parents can save cash and cut the home phone and move their plan higher with cingular. I dunno if its a shot in the foot or not, please share your opinion.

Does any one know the ETA on the rerelease on the nokia 6682, or if it is even going to be rereleased?
