i noticed we got cases for the V557P. . anyone know if we will be caring these for PTT anytime soon? it would be nice to have more than 2 phones being launched.. just wondering if anyone had any thoughts .. 😉

Anyone out there with inside info know if Cingular is getting either the Sony Ericsson K750 or W800 walkman phone?

Happy Customer Service Week...and Goodbye!

First off, I want to wish all of my fellow reps, Cingular or otherwise, a happy National Customer Service week.

Secondly, I'm saying goodbye to the forum, because effective yesterday I AM NO LONGER EMPLOYED BY CINGULAR WIRELESS!!! WOO-HOO!!! FREEDOM!!!

Unfortunately, by leaving Cingular, that means I wont be on the forum at all. I mostly accessed this site from work, and I haven't been on in the past month anyway since it's been blocked by Cingular. Also, this means no more Adventures of Bob written by myself. Of course, I always encourage others with talent to continue to post stories. I was kinda hoping my last story would be Bob vs. RepCB, my last call before I resigned. Multimedia phone coming anytime soon?

With multimedia features becoming ever more common on cell phones nowadays, one would think at least a few new models with this feature will be introduced to the largest carrier in the U.S.

Wonder what Cingular has coming in terms of multimedia phones?

Cingular Webpage Information Question

I went looking today at my account on cingulars site to see if it listed my Expiration Date, unfortunatly it says Not Available. Is this common? Would calling the a csr provide me anymore information or do they see the same thing?

Change a Cingular Blue Contract Length

This will help migrate a lot of Cingular Blue GSM customers over to Cingular Orange. This is for the customers that are on or past their 11th month of their two-year agreement.

First, you have to call 1-888-293-4634 and say "make changes to my account." When you get ahold of a CSR, tell them you have a dispute with a contract length and wish to see the details of the contract (this includes where it was signed, what representative signed it, and other details). The CSR will have roughly the same information store representatives see, but if they don't have all the necessary details, they are able to change the two-year to a one-year. Meaning that a migration comes one year early.

tired of complaints about a bill

i get so tired of hearing that there must be a mistake with a customers bill. today i had another one saying its not right. i look and it show direct bill charges of $64. customer says well i didnt download anything. i proceed to look at the bill (not really but trying to play like i am) and then i ask to see his phone. i proceed to check the ringtones available and low and behold there are the tones he didnt download. i respond to him " sir, the ringtones that your bill says you bought and downloaded are in your phone, so if you didnt download them i would suggest getting your manual out and reading up on how to lock your phone because someone that has had possession of your phone has downloaded them. he tells me "cingular told me i could d...

Was I lied to?

I just signed up for cingular service last week. I bought my phone and plan at a radio shack, and I told my salesperson that I wanted to bring my old cell phone number over to cingular. Well, the store was closing soon so she just gave me a random number and told me that I could change my new number to my old number later on. So, now I really want to do that but I've looked everywhere on the cingular website and I can't find anything on how to do it. I've also sent cingular emails but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I really want my old number on my cingular plan. I mean, I know it's just a stupid number, but still.... And my salesperson SAID I could make the change, so I will be really pissed off if she lied to me.....

Problem with CIngulars PTT Plan

Cingular's PTT plan isn't going to work. It worked great for nextel because all of their phones support it and I think there is no monthly subscription. If onlly 2 phone support it and there is a $10.00 monthly fee not many people will have it and it will just fizzle out like verizon and sprint

Questions about the Nokia 6102 - Please Help!!!!

I have had problems with my 6230 and when they offered to replace it with a non-Nokia phone, I complained (because I have all of the Nokia accessories, like the headset and data cable and they won't work with a Motorola or a Siemens). So they offered to give me a brand new Nokia 6102 for $50.00 AND to replace my 6230 with the V551 or S66.

My question is: Is the 6102 worth $50.00 and a 2 year contract extension? Or should I just give up and wait until the XBM center gets in 6230's and just get my phone replaced with another 6230 whenever (if) they come in?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

Voicemail...

I was wondering if anyone on with cingular knows of a way to delete voicemails while they are still playing?

What I mean by that is while you are listening to the voicemail now you have to wait untill the option is given to push 7 to delete, is there a way to while the message is playing to delete it?

Mother of god, it's October 1st... I have been waiting for a solid Windows Mobile 2005 device for a year now, when the heck is Cingular going to release a damn phone!?!

If I didn't have 12 months left on my contract, I would be buying that new Sprint HTC phone tomorrow.

Phone Selection? Not!

As much as I'd like Cingular to do well, so my call center won't be closed next year, I really wonder if we could get new monkeys. The reason I ask that is because the color-blind one's we have now can't seem to pick decent phones. Here's the deal, with a few exceptions, all of the phones we now have blur together in a big siver-grey mass. Plus, most are monkey-butt-ugly. In addition, the features are only microscopically different from phone to phone.

Before the end of the years Cingualr will have over twenty phones to pick from. What you won't be able to find is an industrial-grade model like those idens Moto builds for Sprintel. And they also won't have PTT or be yellow for visibility. You also won't find (with one exection) a model th...

Rep: What is that?
Me: PTT--is a walkie-talkie feature

So I just had a customer, an older woman, come up to me and ask me about my "Go Cards" I would like to write this conversation from here out.

Me: Do you mean prepaid?
Her: Whatever your go card is
Me: I have a prepaid program called Go Phone, which is a non-commitment monthly plan. For 29.99 a month, it gives you 200 anytime minutes.
