Nokia 6102 released

According to Nokiausa.com Cingular has released the phone. Its no longer on the expected soon page.

Also letstalk.com says its coming any day now. Do any cingular reps have any info? Any stores have it? If so how much without a contract and is it available in Niagara Falls New York?

Seems to me Cingular hasn't improved much!!!

On cnet.com there a video for the Motorolla A840 for ATTWS. It is a GSM and WCDMA phone. Interesting .... Kent German goes on to say that ATTWS has UTMS set up and running in a few cities.

Why hasn't Cingular improved on this?

And to me it seems like ATTWS did most of the GSM work and Cingular is just riding their wave!

not a particularly useful strategy to grow a company and customer base

Cingular Expelled From Local BBB -see phonescoop news article

As someone whoe's business is managing conflict I am amazed that a firm this large would not have a policy in place to at least respond to complaints let alone to handle them well.

Need some advice..

I have posted this thread in another forum but didnt get any replies, sorry.....

To make a long story short, I haven't been particuarly happy with my service from Cingular. The Customer Service is decent, but my major complaint is with the signal quality/service. I am looking into alternative providers and have researched the various frequency types, CDMA, GSM etc and just want opinions on what service provider is best for me. I am not a data user at all, I have a laptop w/air card and a Blackberry for that(both for work), so my personal phone is strictly used for calling friends/family and not using internet on it etc. So in my instance, using the phone for voice, would it be better to find a CDMA provider compared to what im using now...

Boycott competitors' slams against Cingular

I am very satisfied with Cingular. I am not changing. I come to this forum to read what I need to know about my service and the new phones coming.

Its curious to me how every time we respond to a slam obviously posted in the Cingular forum AGAINST Cingular by an 'outsider/rival', it just puts the discussion to the top of the list. I am not going to defend anything from them because it just keeps this negativity going. If we ignore these negative messages they get no attention and die.

Its obvious to me many of these other agents (not from Cingular) are trying their best to steal customers here and I am not going to help keep their messages alive. JMHO

Moto MPX 220

Wow I see the Moto MPX 220 is back on Cingular's website. I've always wanted to test out one of these phones. Wonder if you can only order (the upgraded firmware version) of Cingular's site, or will stores start getting the updated version also? Anyone know?

Also on their site:

I just noticed that the LG C1500 is on there also.

Question for cingular reps.

I am a former att customer and just migrated at the end of August. I am still within my 30 day trial period and have been waiting for the nokia 6102 to come out. I will be out of town when my 30 days is up and with my luck, that is when cingular will finally release the 6102. Can I go to any cingular store in any state and trade in my phone? If so, is this common knowledge or am I going to have to go from store to store to find someone that knows what's up? If it matters I live in Michigan and I will be visiting my family in Massachussettes and Connecticut. 😕

CINGULAR is good

I don't have any problems with Cingular. I also think they have the coolest collection of phones. All these complaints? I think all the cell phone companies have pros & cons. None are perfect. I've had Verizon, Sprint & Nextel (OK Nextel really sucked) but all the others were about the same.

seriously

WOW i have never seem so much immaturity in my life, customer sit here complaining that cingular has bad customer service this and that

yet they come here calling reps " fat, lazy, stupid" how is this going to make reps feel appreciated and want to help, that makes me feel like wheni answer a call " oh i have someone who think i am stupid"

seriously, a little more appreciation goes so far.

i have so many ppl on the phone that talk to ther pl around them.. eat... drink.. and plainly do not listen, lets see maybe that why customers always claim misinformation, becasue they are told what they should know just do not care to listen,

as for inegrating networks, how big is the USA ya exactly. not like they push a button and boom all ...

Getting ETF Waived

If you are experiencing coverage issues & want out of your contract without ETF, this is what I recomend doing.

Speak to the rep in a professional & courteous manner. Explain situation & be open to suggestions. Decline politely if necessary & insist that you need to cancel service.

State that you would stay buy it's un-acceptable issues you are experiencing. Don't mention at all that you cannot use phone while indoors.

If rep denies to waive etf. Thank them for their assistance & politely request to speak to a manager.

Explain situation to manager & your chances have improved to have etf waived. Make sure that you connect with manager & are on same level. Greet them & be courteous.

If manager doesn't grant. Thank them...

No love for the Cingular CSR

I am a great Cingular CSR according to my boss. I take between 50-100 calls a day. In two and a half years on the phones I have taken millions of calls. I have been screamed at swore at and have had my safety threatened by angry customers. I have never allowed those customers to make me angry. I have always done my best to assist the csutomer I go above and beyonbd all day. I see very little respect shown by the customers and coworkers at Cingular in this forum and other forums on phonescoop. Just asking for respect thats all not a parade.

Question!

Why do all the Verizon/Sprint/Nextel/Tmobile fanboys/girls come to harass us in this forum? Are they intimidated by Cingular?

cingular in erie

Cingular has service in Erie because of agreements with Cellular One, but they don't have any stores around here. In fact the closest stores are in Pittsurgh and Youngstown. Does anybody know when they're going to start selling phones in Erie?

rumors

i've heard that if u can supply your own compatible device, bring it into a store & they can set you up on a plan that wouldn't require a contract.. is this true or false?... perhaps somebody from sales could shed some light on this
