Customer Service and Customers

I would really love to know something, when did it become a right to have a cell phone? Having a cell phone is a privilege, not a right. A cell phone is not a play toy either, it is a tool for people to use and should be treated as such. I also do not understand customers who own a business and have prepaid service. I mean WTF? If you can run a business, then damn it you can afford a post paid service. I am so tired of hearing those people call in complaining that they ran out of minutes and the company is ruining their business, I have two words for you SHUT UP! You get what you pay for. Also people learn how to pay your bill instead of letting it go for a few months and then call and expect that you can make payment arrangements and not ha...

Cingular contract? Unsatisfied customer...

I have been a customer of Cingular/Bellsouth Mobility for over ten years and prior to Cingular's switch to GSM service i was a very satisfied customer. They convinced me 8 months ago to switch to GSM so i reluctantly did (i heard a lot of bad things) and have been very dissatisfied with the coverage. There are several large areas in the middle of Lafayette, LA where i live that i get no coverage, one happens to be where my office is located. There are several other areas that i used to get perfect coverage that i now have none. I have complained several times to them and they consistently blame it on my phone, well i am on my 3rd phone in 3 months and my wife is on her 2nd and i know over 20 people who are having the same problems. I ha...

Cingular expelled from BBB in Upstate NY!

I guess it's not so hard to believe that Cingular would be kicked out of the Better Business Bureau for having so many complaints, many of which go unanswered.
Only confirms how bad their service is.
In Chicago, Cingular ranks dead last in both customer service, and call service per JD Powers survey. Verizon and US Cell tie for first. Cingular also has the highest complaint rate with the FCC. Nationally, US Cell has the lowest complaint rate, followed by Verizon. Verizons complaint rate is double that of US Cell (because both get relatively few complaints filed with the FCC). Cingular's complaint rate is many times higher than Verizon's.
I guess they really have raised the bar -- on bad service.

6102 District Manager comment?

For all the Cingular reps out there, is the 'District Manager' rumor that the 6102 was pulled FACT or FIction? Specifically in the Kansas City/Springfield MO Market would be my special interest. Thanks! πŸ™‚

How long before I can re-sign?

Hello everyone,

I want to sign up with Cingular mid-October to test their service around my area (in my house). I will return the phone and the number whether I like the service or not, since my current phone number is under (VZW) contract until January '05...

The question is, if I like the service, how long do I have to wait until I can sign up with Cingular again??? I heard some say 60 days, others say 90, which is true?

When should an Early Terminaton Fee be waived?

I believe due to service problems in the home area that we cannot resolve. The only provision is if the customer's home service area has changed since they signed the contract and the service is bad at the new location. I also believe customers who will not let us troubleshoot should be billed the ETF's if they cancel. All of this changes on a per customer basis a customer that has been a customer for 10 years who moves to a poor service area. Then i would probably waive the ETF.

Random Question

If you find a rep in Care that you really like working with, ie they're friendly, knowledgeable and actually care, is it possible to request to work with that person exclusively?

ThanksπŸ™‚

When is Cingular going to offer songs as ringtones like Tmo and VZW?

I'm not talking about actual ringtones... I am asking about when someone calls you they hear a song you pick versus a " ring ring"

Thanks

Take A Look!!!!!!!!

Check this link out, at the bottom of each manufacturers chart table, it says ANWER TONES this has got to be the (ringback, caller tunes) for Cingular as the other ringtones have their own "UNIQUE" names!!!! You guys gotta give me some love for my thoroughness!!! 😁

Is there a benefit from buying from 'Orange' vs. 'Blue'?

Am waiting for the 6102, one question with all this talk of orange or blue sales reps. Is there an advantage to the customer to buy from one or the other(orange or blue rep)? (I am currently ATT/Cingular). Thanks!

Customer Service Sucks, Help Please!!! :(

Yeah so I was with T-Mobile and my contract is up, so I'd figured I switch to Cingular because I like their phones better, all of my friends are on it, etc. So yeah I went to the place at the mall and the phones are soo expensive. I went home and looked online, they're so much cheaper! Plus you get online rebates and mail-in ones!!! So I placed my order on friday. We called them and told them we wanted overnight shipping so we could get it asap. They lady told us that it wasn't worth it because they wouldn't ship it till monday because of the weekend. So we said okay, and she said we would have the phones tuesday/wednesday. Yeah so then on sunday we get an e-mail saying we must pay a security deposit or our order will be canceled. My mom cal...

Cingular Vs Verizon

I have heard a lot of people who claim to know what network integration is posting in this forum. Very few people understands the complexities of merging two different networks. Plus trying to merge two different customer care departments. AT&T wireless died killed themselves with freebie's and bonus minutes and credits and adjustments. AT&T also did not complete their GSM overlay before the merger there is a lot of TDMA still on the AT&T network. Completing the GSM overlay on AT&T and completing the upgrade to UMTS is very important. Cingular completed their GSM overlay six months before the buyout. While Cinguar is trying to complete the absorption of AT&T Verizon's service and technology and coverage remains consistent and grow by defaul...

Corp Discount & Phone Choice Question

I know posting this question here is a bit one sided but I also know many of you have experience with many phones. Is the MO Razor the phone to get or should I purchase the 6682?

I'm a new to Cingular customer and would buy the phone through my corp, can I get a discount on one phone only? Thanks in advance for your help.
