Sony Ericsson s710a Info

I think that this phone is about to be released soon. If anyone wants to see the phone live here is a website, all you have to do is play the video:

Cingular and Verizon in Atlanta

Hey all I currently have Verizon and live in Atlanta. I live in the metro area so cvg is good wherever I go. I was wondering which one (if you live in Atlanta) is better. Both pretty much offer same plans at the same prices and Cingular has some pretty cool phones. In regards to Verizon, coverage has been awesome. What do you all think??

Cant figure these calls out....a lil help, plz

From time to time I get these "data calls." A number comes up on my phone display "answer data call" and I have no clue what it is. I called into Cingular to ask and the were as lost as I was. Anybody have this happen to them or know what it is. When I try and answer, it says...call can only be answered by data device, e.g. pc...or something like that.

Account info on cingular's website

Does anyone use the account site at cingular.com to check stuff? I'm wondering how come about every 5 or 6 links I link within my account (after logging in), it takes me back to the login page and tells me to log in again, then takes me to the starting page after I log in. It's quite annoying and makes it hard to do anything using that site. I've tried two different browsers on this machine, and I think I've used the site on different machines too, with the same result...

SOOOOOOO Typical

In a different post some one asked which carrier is better. Some one said the following:

cingular is much better. we have rollover, better phones, and better mobile to mobile coverage.

Note the fact that the first thing you say is "WE HAVE ROLLOVER"....

Not everyone needs this. Everytime someone tells me to migrate from my ATT plan, they try to use ROLLOVER as their selling point. Then I explain to the that I have over 1000 mins every month & only use about 2/3 of them, so rollover is useless to me.

Another thing I have noticed is the bosting of "49.1 million & counting!". What is up with that .1? Its like "We became the best by purchasing AT&T Wireless... But that .1 makes us EVEN BETTER! M2M ROCKS!"

Also... who really car...

Gait phones?

I'm a long distance cyclist and cingular customer. Quite frequently our cycle trips takes us out of the GSM coverage areas. I was wondering which phones if any are available are "gait" phones that I can buy specifically for these rural road trips? (in case of an emergency) I still plan to keep my gsm phone as my primary phone. (BLUEGUY PLEASE DON'T RESPOND, I DON'T WANT YOUR HELP)

Network Not Available?

I just got a Cingular v551 phone.

When I try to access anything via the web (MediaNet, MediaMall), I get an error that says "Network Not Available". What could be wrong? I didn't sign up for the Media Net packages, but I should be able to access the Net at least to buy games and ringtones.

The icon on my phone shows I have a network connection (I think).

I am in the Bay Area in Ca.

Thanks

Funny As Hell!!!

I just went on the T-Mo(BIAL) forum for kicks, and someone started a Thread called "T-Mo Reps, GREAT NEWS!". It's funny as hell. Good for wasting time while at work.

BlueGuy is an ex-rep.

I was just informed that BlueGuy is an ex ATTWS rep. who was fired from his job. I know someone who works at HR @ HQ and my contact informed me of this after I inquired about him. He's just probably mad because he never got to work for Cingular. He is also mad that he's unemployed. 😈

Is it just me.....

Judging from the new of all these new gsm phones coming out it looks like Cingular is about to smash the competition with their lineup of phones. Half of them are push to talk(are they telling us something). Good days are ahead my friends 😁

Tragedy

I also posted this on the V551 forum...
I dropped my cell phone today in a parking lot, (moto V551) it got scratched pretty badly. Does anyone know where I could get that same face plate and antenna? They were both terribly scratched. Help!

Help me understand Rollover

As far as roll-over is concerned... if people are consistantly going over their minutes, roll-over won't help because they don't have any minutes to roll-over! It forces them to switch to a higher price plan (more money for Cingular) but then, because they have more minutes, they (in theory) will have extra minutes to roll-over, but won't ever need them because they're on a higher price plan.

Granted, there are some people who are on a plan where they consistanly use within a few minutes of their allotted minutes which makes roll-over nice for those months where usage is a little over.

Now, I don't say this to ruffle any feathers. Honestly. I just don't get the idea of roll-over minutes. Do most people's monthly usage swing so drastica...

Curious

I have a Moto V400 that I have had since last Feb. Is there a way to check and see if it is unlocked, i.e. punching in some kind of code? Thanks in advance.

Arrogant Anonymous

"Hi, my name is Lexical (Hi Lex). And I am arrogant." Its hard to say that the companies will regret their arrogance later, especially wireless companies. Take Sprint, for instance. The guy in the black coat might as well be saying: "We offer good deals from time to time but always have mediocre service. Other than promos, our phones are overpriced and work jus about the same. But we have a bunch of customers so just bend over, take it, and enjoy". Verizon: "We offer a large network with great coverage in some areas, crap in others. Our maps are falsified and our phones are either crippled or mediocre, except for the most expensive. Can you hear me now?" T-Mobile: "We offer you a lil here and there because we are more concerned with our int...
