i spoke with my 3rd party rep. i complained about their soaring rate plans. told her we were selling more tmo because of their current promo. her answer bluntly was.."were profitable, so we dont have to give away a gang of minutes to compete with tmo. our overal value is what makes us better." hmmm while yes they do have more covergae than t-mo, i think cingular's attitude is down right arrogant and may return to bite them in the rear. i dont care, i get paid either way. be it cingular, t-mo, sprint, or nextel. i just dont wanna hear their mouth when we arent seeling as much cingular as we are sprint and tmo.

I bought a Razr from my friend and I was wondering if I needed to call cingular and give them the IME number?

Ive had many differnt phones, and the Z500 is by far the best phone i've had. The internal screen is awsome,games,MP3 ringtones. The size of the phone could have been smaller, but im a guy so it doesnt really matter.

the only con on this phone is that is some times acts like its thinking when you try to call or you try to get out of an app. to fast, only a couple of secs. though.


I also found a way to download MP3 tones for FREE. Go and log in to cingularme.com. Open a second screen and go to walmart.com. Right click on a Mp3 shortcut and copy shortcut. go back to cingularme.com and paste, then just send. when received on phone. scoll down till the link in highlighted and press open.and it will download automaticly.

Anyone on here that works for Cingular directly... COR stores, call centers etc. please respond... I would like to get a general consensus of opinions here. Thanks is advance everyone! 🙂

When's the last time any of you have seen someone cloned? I had a customer last night who's phone had been cloned. according to the notes on the account it happened when she was in mexico and now she's having a tough time getting her new phone set up (still tdma) I think its time to try gsm don't you?

What sort of employee discounts do you get on plans and phones? Is it a certain percent off, other bonuses? I'm looking into submitting my resume to some local Cingular stores (currently work in a n outsourced call center, so I don't work for the carrier directly) and I'm curious what bonuses there are on Cingular equipment and services.

I have an ATTWS Nokia 6200 on a grandfathered ATTWS GSM National Family Plan -- is it possible to change phones on that plan without switching to a Cingular phone or price plan ???

My current price plan seems like a deal compared to what's being offerred by Cingular -- I get 900 minutes for $59.00 and 2 secondary lines for $9.99 each. I'm not using anything near the 900 minutes, but I'm afraid to downgrade and end up spending more.

So, how would one change ATTWS phones without switching plans and going into a new contract ????

I have the Motorola v551 and have been trying to get onto match.com mobile under the messenging part of media net, and then clicking on chat & date. It's listed as a site there and it won't work.

Has anyone tried match.com mobile on their phone, and if you could try...does it work and on what model of phone? My device says it doesn't support it, but it should.

If anyone has used the MobiTV service on their mobile, which phone that supports it, works best using this advanced multimedia service?

I seen by checking out mobitv.com that Cingular supports several phones with the service already.

Played with the phone this morning and seems to be very sturdy. Camera is above average and the other features are right up my alley. Will wait to see what the field tests report back before i purchase though. Can't trusts SEs reputation!

The marketing world is keeping me busy. I'd like to thank all the guys at Cingular who kept the faith and gave it the extra effort to prove me right about Cingular's current success. Keep up the good work guys... we still have a million miles to go, but we are definately headed in the right direction.

Just swapped v551 for this at lunch today, and it won't connect to internet.

Was in hurry at store, and they suggested I call Data Service number.

I did, spent a half hour, we input passwords, registered me at MyMobileWindow, still wouldn't connect.

In addition, to make matters worse, after our call, I tried changing Data Call to GPRS, and that didn't work.

Now, when I changed it back to Data Call, I've lost the correct dial-up number.

Can somebody please help me? The store I got this from closed at 6pm. I would be very grateful.

I'm a big dork and I want to pick my own phone number, so I can have it spell something meaningful and memorable. I tried to call and get a listing of 314 prefixes (the first three digits) so I could come up with some options before I go to buy the phone, but the people I speak to say they don't have a list or that I can't pick my own number at all. Does anyone know what 314 prefixes Cingular owns or where I can find out? Thanks! (oh, and I'm getting the v551, probaly from buy.com, since it's free!)

I called the contest customer service line and the prizes still have not been shipped. The rep told me that entrties are still being subject to auditing. I can't fahtom it would take this long. The 6 weeks deadline for shipping is the 20th.

My V551 still creeps at a slow pace when I browse the internet. EDGE runs rampant in Dallas. Now I am using a 32K SIM still....if I switch to the 64K, will this help with speeds on my phone?
