Right now the phone costs $99 with a 2 year contract ...does anyone know the price with a 1 year contract...Also, does anyone know if this phone is going to go down in price anymore anytime soon...since they are coming with the v635.......

I thought that name subject get your attention. It would be great if everybody would get off the "which is better" topic, because competition makes things better for everyone. I could have sworn there wasn't just one major car company. Just look at how expensive anything microsoft is. 👿

When will the nokia 6620 be discontinued, and what phone will replace it?

Does anybody have a more intelligent argument as to why GSM is better than CDMA other than it's more common in Europe--which by the way proves absolutely nothing. If anybody is interested in facts, CDMA technology allows more calls to simultaneously transmitted than does GSM, hence more probability for network congestion, fast busy signals and dropped calls. Obviously this can happen on either technology, but is more likely on a GSM network. It's amazing that some have even suggested or asked when Verizon Wireless would switch to GSM, know that it is an inferior technology, why would there be any reason to? Please don't mention the Europe argument, thanks.

I'm on the GSM Nation 600 plan with the OLD media works (1500 txt, unlimited media and 200 mms) with about 300 rollover minutes.

If i downgrade to the Nation 450 will that affect my grandfathered MEdia works plan and also will I lose those rollover minutes?

Does anyone have an Ogo like me?

I love it to death especially since it's UNLIMITED Text Messaging, Instant Messaging, and E-mail Use.

The only bad about my ogo is the battery life is only maybe 2 hours and the charger cord is so short.

Anyone have problems with battery life?

Any thoughts on the Ogo?

so far this is my favorite forum. people here understand our obsessions with phones. i get made fun cuz i get new phones every month or more often. they always ask me, "so did you get a new phone?" or "what phone do you have now". they say im addicted to cell phones, i just say that its a hobby of mine. i dont make fun of people who go out and buy shoes every week. i dont go out and make fun of people who go buy RC cars or boats.. or whatever. kinda pisses me a lil when people get on my case about it. its like, they're jealous that i actually have a hobby lol

I love both companies, as a matter of fact I have a cell phone with each company. I wish someone could explain to me something though. Why is it that Cingular's signal fluctuates so much? I could be talking on the same spot and I can see my phone signal going from 5 bars to 0, then to 3 bars, then back to 0, back to 2 bars, then 4, then none again, back to 5, then 2..... I could go on all day. WHY???? Why is it like this? I know it's not my phone. That's out of the question. My VZW phone only changes 1 bar, maybe 2 throughout the conversation. So I think is the GSM signal. Does anyone feel me on this? I love my phone and I love Cingular, but I wish Cingular would raise the bar and keep it up there....

I know that Cingular has been testing and perfecting their PTT for quite some time now. News was even floating around that they would release PTT in late January. Well, January has come and gone and their is still no PTT. So when will it be released?

I have the Nation Family Plan that is 59.99 and 9.99 for additional lines, and I was wondering if I was to add another line would it be 9.99 or would it now be considered 19.99?

Also, I have another question. I have the MEdia basic package before they were changed and it has 1mb of internet. How much is 1mb exactly. I've downloaded two 30second mp3's and they each are about 250,000kbs. Does that mean I can only download about 4 before I go over , or is 1mb more than that.

I have aquestion for any customer service people or anybody at this point , why do I get a different answer each time I call and I;m always patient and nice? heres my story : I got my cingular phone the day after thanksgiving weekend because we had att tdma and got booted out because of the merge thing so there were no cancellation fees or activation fees fore a new cingular contract. so we did it, 3 phones. the first 30 days were fine no problem then we got a HORRIBLE screeching/ gargling noise. at first i was told it was the phone (lg c1300) so they exchanged 2 times and then they finally gave me a motorola, that didnt solve it so then they opened a case thing and well, they havent called me back or anything the problem should have been fi...
