JessiCSR or any other Cingular CSR ...can you help me please?

Ok... here's the deal.

Went into a Cingular store to port my number from T-Mobile to Cingular. 3 Days goes by and nothing has happened, so my wife and I decided to cancel the port and just get new numbers. So I called Cingular and T-Mobile. Both told me "ok... the port request has been canceled". So we then proceded to get our new numbers.

Then a month later I get a bill for a month of service (99.99 + 9.99 + 14 (nights at 7)+19.99 (Media works)....etc...

So I call in to CS. I get a nice young lady who tells me that she can't cancel lines and that her sup has to do it so she will get it done in the morning and call me back. Guess what.... no call.. Then the next month I get another bill.

More charges! Yea! More charges....lol...

Voice Connect Question

I did a search of this forum and did not find the answer so I thought I would post.

When you connect to *08 I know that it charges you anytime minutes.
But, when you actually connect to the caller you are trying to reach does it still pull from Anytime minutes?
OR
Once you connect to the caller if that call is eligible for N&W, M2M, etc., than that is how it will be billed.

Thank you in advance for you help.

Help!!! v551 Charge Lasts 1 Day...

OMG_I've been getting the go around from Cingular and Motorola on the battery life of v551 for past 2 wks. No one admitting battery life sucks. Can you tell me more. Example: I fully charge the phone, made a 38 min. and 21 min. call. It goes low batt on me by 10:30pm and dies. [BTW_full bars on reception, live in a metro area.] I can't trust the reliability phone will be there when I need it. I could do 2 days of long calls on my Nokia 3560 before even charging. Husband and son have same prob w/ v551. Son lives in another town so it's not our location. I'm still w/in 30 days and thinking of having Cingular give me a good old reliable Nokia. Love v551 features, but need reliability. Comments??? Help??? Suggestions???

Which are consumed first?

I'm think of moving to a plan which allows for rollover of minutes. I understand that rolled over minutes expire if not used after a year (11 months)a month at a time thereafter. My question is, if I were to go over my alloted number of minutes in a given month, are the minutes used from that point on taken from the oldest monthly bank of minutes until zero then taken from the next oldest and so on?

If on this type of plan are the rolled over minutes visible in your account by month and the number of minutes or is it displayed as one grand total?

Hmmmm

BlueGuy goes away 2-21.....Mr. PIR appears 2-22.........SSDD.

On another item, the thing I like most about my Cingular is if I ask a question, I get different answers and everyone insists they're right. We'll see next month when I call for another billing correction for the fourth month in a row. Cingular can't program THEIR account billing correctly. I've had the service 4 months! I never had a billing problem w/ATTWS or Verizon. My last call the rep adjusted the account, but admitted she didn't know how to correct the problem, and advised me to call back next month!!! !@#$%^&*

Oh, the problem is I have an international calling plan but am getting billed at the non-plan rate.

Question about GSM + GAIT Option

Hey Guys,

If I have a GSM nation plan to which I've added the GAIT option, tell me if I'm right or wrong about the following...

1. The 6340i is a multi-network phone I know, but isn't it set up to go with a gsm signal first and then tdma second?

2. If I'm in a stronger tdma area and can get better phone recep on it versus gsm, will the 6340i stick with the gsm signal and ignore the tdma one, or is there a way to force it to work with the strongest signal available?

3. If you get ahold of a 6340i, does it need to have the latest and greatest firmware version in it to make everything work A-OK with the gsm/tdma side of things? I've also been told that Cingular corporate stores no longer will upgrade you in this manner...so do...

Data vs. Media Plans

Can someone give me the short and skinny on these two? What is the difference? I have a SX66 coming. I currently have one of the Media plans, but will not need it since there will not be a camera on the device. So I suppose I need a data plan of some sort. Will that include the Xpress e-mail? Is that the push e-mail I have heard of?

Thanks.

Cingular Voicemail

hey does anyone know if cingular plans to change their voicemail system to one that's more like AT&T's? i hate it when people call and say "hey it's me, call me back" and dont leave their name or number... and then i have to guess who called me because i could barely make out who it was... i know with cingular blue customers, they can actually have the system repeat the number that called them (if it's not blocked or whatever) but with the cingular orange system, it just tells you when the message was sent.

just wondering though. 🙂

OH and if you can have a greeting schedule... that thing is a blast!

AT&T Phones

🙄
Has anyone on the blue or orange side had to deal with blue customers trying to upgrade with AT&T phones? Does anyone else find it difficult to tell customers that they are SOL when it comes to upgrading without switching to the orange side?

Cingular has just got worse on text and data.

So cingular has never had unlimited text messages, and use to offer 750 messages for 10 dollars, and then media works package was unlimited net, 1500txt, and like 200mms.

NOW, 10 dollars gets you 1000 messages, 20 dollars gets yout 2500, and the data plans (media works), got ****ty. It is now 3mb net, 1000 messages, and unlimited picture messaging. Reason they did 3meg data is probably cause of the Siemens SX66, everyone including me was changing to that plan to get unlimted net instead of paying 40 dollars from cingular for net.

Cingular is so retarded with there packages, and people are paying it cause they got 48 million blah blah customers, glad i switched to a good company last month.

Direct bill charges

I purchased a few things off of mediaNet and then my phone malfunctioned, I tried doing the challenging thing and it only gave me 2 refunds, but I bought over 30 dollars worth! Can I call customer care and ask for some refunds or credits on the items that i could not challenge? It is a legit reason, I had to do a warranty exchange.

One step closer to to ATTWS closing up shop!

Interesting e-mails we had sent to us today. All customers on the cingular blue side as of feb 27,2005 have all plans removed in the systems, only people who can do anything are the customers in Devested markets or TDMA only markets on the blue side.Getting these e-mails really signals the beginnig of the Appocalypse, just kidding, its gonna be the beginning of ticked blue customers who won't like they either stay on their plan or migrate to change their plans!!!

On February 27th, 2005 the consumer postpaid TDMA Local and Digital One
Rate plans will expire for all markets, except in TDMA-Only and Divestiture
Markets. These plans will no longer be available for activations and
migrations.

In a few markets the TDMA Local and Digital O...

Siemens S66

I am a Verizon customer that is looking for a new business phone. I have the oppurtunity to get my work phone with any carrier that I want, and I am seriously considering Cingular. The main reason for my consideration of Cingular is because of the special they are running online for the S66 phone for $99.99. Can anyone help me out? Is this a good deal? Is it a good phone? Will I be happy with it, and if not, which phone in that price range should I get (I would prefer a phone with bluetooth)?

Thanks.
