In your guys opinion what is the best flip that Cingular offers right now. I am fed up with my Moto V400, this is my third one (ear volume just stops working randomly, and I have to use the headset or speaker) bad Moto! 👿 But they have all been exchanged under warranty (thankfully) 😁 So I will want similar features in my new flip... So what do you think, which one?

If Cingular can include unlimited M2M on certain plans, as well as give unlimited nights and weekends, why can't they give unlimited text messaging at a certain price. Does it cost them (Cingular) more if a person text messages someone instead of calling?? Doesn't talking on your phone and sending a text message use the same path i.e. hitting the tower and going to the other persons phone? Thanks for anyones insight in advance.

I'm eligible for an upgrade in August, my question is, do I have to upgrade my rate plan too? Im on GSM FT 59.99 850 UNL MM & NW with additional line 9.99. are they going to make me change my plan and change my media works plan with unlimited data?

I ordered this phone from someone in tele-sales today after going to a store in Louisville that said I could not buy their's, but could call and order it. It is supposed to be on the way to me Priority. But, everywhere I read says this phone is not available through Cingular any longer. Any of you Cingular people know anything about it?

Nokia has a new flip up on its page here in phonescoop..6101/6102 which will have the 850 band for Cingular..seems like a good alternative to the V551..

Ok here is the deal. Im with alltel now and would never change but my wife is with Cingular and she has her whole family on her account. Well her sister ran the bill up to 500 on her line alone and cant pay the bill so I will pay the bill and take the phone from her. Im looking for a PDA phone probably with SD slot, dont really need a camera but would like something that plays media files. What do you guys suggest.

To be honest with you guys I don't have a clue what happened. Ever since the merger my coverage along La 27 has worsened. I used to have smooth coverage from Sulphur to DeQuincy but for some reason when I get just a few miles from DQ it completely loses it's signal. I have a Nokia 6340i and never had any problems with it and am very pleased. Let me explain what is happening. I'll be talking on the phone and when I get to this certain area, I lose the connection. As soon as the call disconnects it jumps from showing 0 bars to full strength. I don't know what happened because it used to not do that. Can someone explain to me what might have happened? If there is a tower that close to me why isn't it picking it up instead of disconnect...

So called to find out something bout the MPx220 by motorola, and they told me info, and they said the new MPx (300) rumored number is scheduled to be released in march. Dunno price, but from the over seas it will be like 600 dollars probably.

Now that Verizon has no roaming going with Cingular makes absolutely no sense!!! I wish all of you people with cingular service would just try Verizon for a week you would all be returning your Cingular equipment for Verizon stuff.

I mean c'mon lets think about it 2 of the most respected reporting agencies in the country rate Verizon's service #1 in all the major markets, these being J.D. Power and Consumer Reports. Do you guys really think these two reporting agencies are wrong and you guys are right? Or is it that you guys are just in denial??

First things first ATTW was a company going out of business before the buyout because there service was so terrible! And also Cingular was no good themselves with major problems with circuit...

i have the L1400 with cingular and the voice ringtones suck. where can i get real voice ringtones for this phone, 3gupload doesnt offer voice for it. i got some from cingular but they sound like ass. i had the VX6000 w/ Verizon and the voice tones sounded really good. could it be the speaker, or is it the ringtones?? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

I've been going to Phone Scoop for the last few months after discovering this website after being hired by Cingular and I always go the the Threads and I finally decided to join the party. Here are my thoughts on Cingular in general since Im a Customer and Employee.

The Service: THE BEST EVER! I was a former AT&T Wireless Customer and when I switched to Cingular before the big merger 6 months ago I was just amazed in my house that hardly got reception I get clear landline reception and had hardly gotten any dropped calls. I've been everywhere in California and never had any problem with service or roaming.

I just switched from an AT&T plan to a Cingular plan, with a Motorola V551. With AT&T my phone would tell me I had a new voicemail message within 30 seconds of a phone call (I tend to screen my calls a lot). With this new phone, I've had delays of up to 4 hours. Has anyone else experienced delays of this sort?

does accessing the internet considered data usage or is it only downloading that is considered usage?

Whats the difference? I know i can use an MMC for a nokia 6620, but what about an SD card?
