I hate at&t

I hate this company and wish it the worst, and when the worst happens, I wish it never gets a bail out.

Weird (Nokia E71x)

Not a big deal but when the phone goes in standby mode, they keyboard flashes a light every about 10 seconds. I guess it's a good idea when it's in a dark location it would be easier to locate, but i'm not 60+ years old/losing my sight (Lol, I apologize to any senior citizens.) Anyway to get rid of that? I ask because battery conservation is at the up most importance, although battery seems to be tremendous (In a good way.) Anybody?

Warranty Void?

This may be a dumb question but I figured I'd ask to be on the safe side... If I were to purchase a phone through ebay or some other 3rd party seller, would my manufacter warranty be voided? I'm not sure if the customer service rep would ask for proof of purchase or not. Thanks for any input...

Network Changes for at&t 3G users

From the Horses Mouth:

Beginning in May 2009, the Network Settings (N-SET) Solution is beginning a rolling launch across all markets. N-SET is used to balance subscriber traffic between 2G and 3G networks. This solution will help deliver the best network experience by:

Improving data speeds for data intensive customers on the 3G network.
Providing enhanced call quality and fewer dropped calls for voice only customers on the 2G network.
Customers who do not subscribe to 3G data features or services and are primarily voice-only users may notice their 3G phone is only connecting to the 2G network; this is normal and is not an indication of a phone or network problem. Should the customer subscribe to a 3G data feature or service or beg...

What is it like working for AT&T?

If the DOJ and FCC give approval for the VZW/Alltel/AT&T transaction to move forward to a close date I hope to maintain my job and transfer over to AT&T. I have 20 years invested in the wireless industry and am in the Operations Group, middle management.
Having been through a number of industry changes over the years I feel that I have a position of some type waiting for me. I would like to know how AT&T views their employs and how the overall job experiences is.
Thanks.

Why do AT&T's Blackberries Smell Like Cabbage?

I noticed after owning an ATT blackberry 8310 while talking on it I began to detect a distinct smell of cabbage coming from the device. I thought this was funny so I returned it for the BB Bold a few days later. Upon the first phone call from this device I again noticed a very earthy smell seeping from the crevices in the device. Which leads me to believe that ATT pollutes their phones prior to distributing them. I instantly called customer service from my unicorn's horn and they said it is true, they do it to appeal to all the herbivores out there. Moral of the story: ATT smells of cabbage. The end.

Uh Oh....MY BOLD WON'T TURN ON....?

So, I love my bold. It is hands down one of the best devices I have ever carried and I have had plenty of locked and unlocked phones.

Well now...

NOTHING...

Won't turn on, no blinking light & I DON'T want a Re-furb through AT&T...

I have contacted Blackberry and they have opened a case on the issue.

Any Ideas out there?
Thanks All

Nokia E71x is finally out...

Online and in stores (According to phone scoop.) Package doesn't include a usb cable so you'll have to purchase that seperate (About $20.) You can get an 8GB memory card as well (I believe it's $60-65.) You can by these accessories online via a 3rd party but I would be careful when it comes to purchasing a "Less expensive" memory card as I have had many issues with some of them with my prior phones.

Also, on the premier site it appears as if the rebate card link isn't available so I am assuming you can just go to the At&t site and just print it from there. Don't forget to leave some feedback, I normally wait a month before purchasing a new phone because of possible bugs with the first edition.

Can bad sim cards cause more drop calls?

I drop a ridiculous amount of calls. Probably close to 50% and i usually have 2-3 bars. would replacing the sim card help at all?

If so, will any store give me a new one? Will it cost anything?

nokia 2600....

i dont want to get off on a rant here...

but does anyone else have trouble sometimes opening up a 2600?

in my opinion, one of the worst design flaws Nokia has ever had.

Sometimes I can't even get those bi†ches open at all.
