Cing reps....???
Opus question
Switch deal
So here's my offer. If Cingular pays my ETF I'll agree to leave my one year contract with Vzw and sign a 2 year contract with them. I can remember not so long ago a csr telling me that MCI would pay the cost of switching my phone service to theirs, and would pay to switch it back if I wasn't satisfied.
I would much rather be contracted with a wireless provider that allows me to use my phone the way it was designed to be used, rather than with a provider that dumbs it's equipment down in order to squeeze a few more pennies out of me.
So what do you say C...

SIM card in Nokia 6010?
I'm trying to upgrade my mom's phone to a bluetooth model. She currently has a Nokia 6010, and I'm trying to get her a Motorola v505. The ones I'm finding on Ebay do not come with a SIM card. She appears to have a 64k SIM card in her Nokia-- can I simply insert this into a Cingular v505 and have her service function?
Thanks,
Shane

Cingular miscounting your minutes?
According to my phone, a call lasts, say, 35 seconds. This should be billed as a minute. However, online I'm showing 2 minutes. Another call is, say, 11 minutes and 40 seconds. This should be billed as 12 minutes, but instead is billed as 13. It kind of looks like calls where the seconds portion goes over 30 get not only rounded up, but an additional minute tacked on. Since I only have the 10 most recent calls listed on my phone, and new calls to the same number overwrite the old, I've only been able to verify this with a few calls so far.
I'm thinking this could be due to programmer error in Cingular's billing....

Cingular Upgrade Policy
What is Cingular's upgrade policy (timeframe, special pricing & or discounts, contract terms, fees associated, etc ...)? I use to be an RA and never had to pay for a handset, therefore am unfamiliar. I am hesitant to upgrade because it would require a change to the GSM network and I am not impressed with the coverage area at this time(I am currently on TDMA and out of contract for a little over 3 years).
Also, would like some clarification about the "no roaming fees". Is it true there are no roaming charges because Cingular customers in essence cannot roam (meaning if you aren't on the Cingular...

VCast Verizon's new broadband service
Any advantage of migrating from AT@T to Cingular right now?
So is there any advantage to migrating right now? Right now I've got a Motorola V505 and it works great and i'm very happy with my plan. At@t recently added 300 extra anytime minutes to my plan so things are pretty sweet. I'm inclined to stay, but what do you guys think?
Also, any idea when they are going...

Blue reps getting Cingular dependent lines.
Does anyone have any information as to when Blue reps will be able to take advantage of the free dependent lines?? As of now, we still have to get our phones from ATTWS's NEAS..they're blue phones still, so it doesn't really make sense to get a new phone with them.
