I want to purchase a phone only, preferably cingular branded, I want to spend about 350$ at most, any suggestions on what phones I can get within that price range. I have a motorola v400 by the way.

Hi, I curently have a Motorola V551 and my reception\signal sucks here in my house. I'm on the $39.99 National Plan, 450 anytime minutes, 5,000 n&w, unlimited m2m...And I also have the media works pcakge 🙂...Was wondering if I could buy a nokia 6340i cell phone on ebay. Will this increase my recetion/signal when i am not getting any from my motorola v551 here at my house? And if i do buy this nokia phone, will i need to make any changes to my account, like my rate plan, any charges, etc.?....

I live in a spotty coverage area. A small regional company has CDMA here, that gives me pretty good service except in my house. Cingular put a tower a block from my house, so I'm thinking of switching. But nearby there is an area with a CDMA antenna, but poor GSM coverage. A Cingular CS guy said I can get a GAIT phone and use it for GSM and GAIT, but I haven't seen any handsets that say they'll do that. Anybody know about this?

Memo on CSP that the Siemens c61, s66, Sony Ericcson T237, T637 will not be available after 2/15/05. Remember seeing some folks asking about the T637, well, you got til then to get it. Memo says stores must stop on or before that date selling those phones.

Does anyone know when the Motorola A630 is coming out or the LG version of the A630 we just got the dummy phones in at one of our stores? Also the Ericson s710a when that one is coming out

Does anybody know anything about the area code being required on every call on cell phones? I made several local calls over the weekend on my cingular v551, and it never even rang, it told me call could not be completed as dialed. Then i redialed with the area code and it worked just fine. Can somebody explain? Also, does anybody know if you can set the v551 to automatically dial the area code?

I have someone thats looking to upgrade their phone and they want to be able to change the font and color of their texts. Ive never heard of this, anyone know what phones, if any do this? He claimed that he has friends that have it but i didnt ask him what svc or phone. . . thanks for the help

I have been with Cingular since its inception and it had been a great carrier for me. I cant honestly remember the last time I had a dropped call. VZW is a great carrier in its own right. They offer coverage where Cingular doesnt, and vice versa. The point is, whatever works where you need it is the best for you. Cingular does it for me, so my opinion is biased towards Cingular. There are other factors that go into determining who is best. Cingular by far carries the best phones with the most features. I have a Nokia 6620 and it is the best phone I have ever had. The others are not even close. If you are a VZW supporter, go to their forum and post. This happens to be Cingular's forum and we don't mind other carriers coming over and reading, ...

Hello! I am looking to sign up with Cingular but I need help choosing a phone. There are 3 phones that I am interested in. They are: Moto V180, Moto V551, and SE Z500a. I am interested in a camera phone but it is not a necessity. Anyone who knows about these phones please give me a hand here! I live in NYC metro area if that helps! 🙂

I am wondering is Nokia going to make any new really great GSM phones??? The Nokia 6230 is a great looking phone, not offered in my area...thanks Cingular. Nokia seems to be trying to offer crazy designs and un-practical styles again. Are they going to step it up any time soon for UMTS models? Any one know anything coming soon that is not on the Nokia website?

I have had the Motorola T720 for the last year and a half and had to exchange in about 3 times because of the service problems with my phone ! The reps keep telling me that this phones software is not compatible with Cingular service and thats the problem....IS this true ?? Also do you think its wise to go with another Motorola as my next phone(which would you recommend?) or should I just go back to Nokia or another brand ?? I live in Baltimore and my Cingular service is not the best so I dont know if its the phone or the service itself too.....

I just got my bill from Cingular after switching from Tmobile and I was quite surprised to see Cingular add a full $13 for "Tax and Surcharge" on my monthly bill!

TMobile only charged me $5.40 for the same items.

Both Cingular and Tmobile charged me $1.20 in "Federal Excise Tax ($1.20)", but only Cingular chaged "State & Local Tax ($4.40) - California".

Also TMobile's 911 fee was 27 cents while Cingular tacked a FULL $3.22!!! Man I need to make some 911 calls if I'm going to fork out so much for the service ;)

Can anyone enlighten me why Cingular's surcharge is more than TWICE of TMobiles???
