I am a att wireless customer and I been with att for a long time and I have a foundation accout with my work. But I was wondering if any supervisor can fix a problem that I am having at this time. I called in to customer care and I was promised a att rate plan which was great I loved it and I was also promised the media works plan that I later found out that it was a cingular plan but the rep told me I was going to get it. I then saw that I didnt receive it so I called in and they said that I can't get it. I was wondering if I can get a att plan that brings the same thing but get credited for the difference so I can get it at the same price of the media works

#1) Why doesn't cingular display the carrier you are roaming on like t-mobile? For instance with T-Mobile if I am roaming in AT&T (pre-meger) it would say AT&T, if I were on Cingular it would say Cingular, and of course when I was on T-Mobile it would say T-Mobile. My Cingular GSM phone only says "Cingular and Cingular Extend"

#2) The Sprint phone I have from work displays my name and cell phone number when I call land lines. My Cingular phone displays city, state and cell phone number. So I called Cingular today and asked them to update the records so my Cingular phone would display my name when calling land lines. CSR 1 said it couldn't be done, blah, blah, blah. I call back and CSR 2 says "Let me check my knowlegebase." He comes back a...

Does Cingular ever offer rebates with their phones? If so, is one expected with the S710a? And does anyone know more about when it will come out?

Is Cingular's pre-GSM system CDMA? I thought they used TDMA.

Since I got my phone I have been trying to get e-mail function to work. Have spoken with a total of 7 Cingular CS reps and all have said it's possible and provided set-up info. but still no go. Finally talked to tech & was told "we are not internet service providers, I don't know why CS told you we could do set-up, and here's how to circumvent that so you can e-mail photos" ??????????
Anyone know something that might help me set up my e-mail messaging?

I'm in Warranty Exchange for the blue side and I have a question regarding orange XBM.

If a customer has an active acct on the blue side and has an orange phone, is there any way they can do XBM thru orange? My gut tells me "uh, no. They don't have an orange acct" but I am just looking for 100% clarification. I just talked to a customer with an LG L1400 and told her that we don't support it here (bc it's Cingular equipment) and that Cingular's program won't support it (bc she has a blue acct, not orange). I was right, right?

Hey Y'all..I'm a blue rep in a company owned store in New York, and it's now a NATIONWIDE problem!! Blue reps are not getting paid correctly OR on time!! I've heard rumors of law suits already going on in some states, reps writing to their respective boards of labor, and some people going to the press!! One rep I've spoken to is no longer having his medical insurance paid by the company. Are any orange people having problems with "the new cingular??" Blue reps..any feedback?? The company is telling us they're "working on it" but have no date for resolution. 😕

I'm new to this site & have been checking out past forum discussions (if you can call them that) & thought I'd let some of you know that whether it's merger related or not (we're being told by Cingular it is) the service in Texas SUCKS! Recently upgraded to V551 & constantly have dropped calls. Many customers opting to stay with 6340i's since they use old & new systems. Any thoughts?

I had a lady call in and explain that her number was ported out without the sales rep advising there was a 24 month service commitment for the phone.She thought she was paying full amount with no commitment.Now she wants a reverse migration. when i was reestablishing a hold expectation,the sales rep was calling security becuase the store was closing. This wasn't cool at all.

I have a V551 unlocked. I also have a Cingular 64K SIM card. I am currently on an ATTWS plan with an ATTWS SIM card activated using a V505. The Cingular SIM card that I have is also 20 digits in length.

Can I call ATTWS customer service to replace my SIM on my account and activate the 64K SIM? I was told thar Sebel now recognizes Cingular SIMs, though I am not sure if that includes 64K SIMs. I want to get the benefits of the 64K SIM technology without giving up my plan and corporate discounts.

I am also concerned that if they trash my existing SIM and the Congular 64K SIM does not work, I will have no SIM left.

Im looking for a cheap plan that I can cancel anytime and not have a contract, and the pre-paid phones seem to be to expensive. Im wondering if the cingular take charge plan is what is best for me, Im 15 so I cant go out and get a job, so bassicly Im mowing the lawn to pay for my cell phone. Also Im planning on talking very little on the phone, mostly to my parents and maybe a few phonecalls to freinds.

But it seems like Cingular is being very vauge about there plan information, if someone could tell me the pros, cons, or just shed some genral light on the plan that would be great, thanks for the help.

I have a friend who was always happy with Verizon, and 3 weeks ago made the switch to Cingular mainly b/c of Cingular's lower priced family plans.... and now that he heard that Verizon has more or less the same prices, (plus he could have a 5th line) he is thinking of going back to Verizon....
now if he knew for sure that Cingular would be coming out with something new, he would stay with Cingular..... so I really need help in keeping him as a customer....

[also my brother who has a family plan now with Verizon, with a plan expiring in 4 months, and was thinking at that point of switching to Cingular, is now thinking of renewing his Verizon contract, (to get the newer pricing) unless again he knew that Cingular had something even better ...

i just want to know when some new phones are coming out. i'm about to switch back to cingular, but im not feeling the phones that they have out now.
