Use the damned PAYSTATION!

The next friggin' customer to get pissy with me over the $5 charge to take his/her payment at the POS in lieu of the PayStation's FREE service might just get sacked.

I greatly appreciate all my customers and respect them for actually paying their bill, however: What on god's green earth would posses someone to drive 10 miles just to hand me a sealed envelope with a completed check inside? The PayStation has dual purposes: It widdles out the payers from the buyers on busy weekends, and allows customers the independance to walk in and interact with their account without a RSC's interference. If I've got a significant line at the machine, I happily take some at my POS.

At&t initiated the billpay charge to recover a portion of the c...

My Idea On How AT&T Can Surpass Verizon's Coverage Quickly

Just start coloring roaming areas of their coverage maps in orange, like VZW does in red.

Help. BB Bold. It's driving me crazy!

I've had the phone for 3 days, but there are things I need help with since I haven't been able to figure them out by myself. This is my 1st BB. BTW
1- how do I turn off this annoying blinking light? I have to put the phone in a drawer, or face down with a towel on top of when I go to sleep.
2- the screen dims itself most of the time. I like my screen really bright! I haven't been able to find the setting to keep it always bright.
3- I set up my email accounts very easily, but I can't see any emails I got prior to the day I got the Bold.
4- I'm getting faster at typing on in. I like that.
5- my phone switches back and forth between 3G and Edge at home while browsing the net. (I haven't really used it anywhere else yet)

I like the pho...

Slowwwwwww Day.

We are dead at my store. All we have done all day is billpays. At least people have money to do that. The St.Patricks Day thing might have something to do with it. At least I will have an opportunity to sell a bunch of exception upgrades and warranty claims when everyone who lost or broke their phone in a green beer haze comes by tomorrow. 😁

iPhone 3.0

http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/17/live-from-apples- ... »

So is it sad that I, like a lot of iPhone users are excited about features coming soon to their phone that most phones have already had forever...? LOL, oh well, my iPity App made the iPhone worth the money, even without all that "fancy" stuff like MMS and stereo bluetooth....

MMS - .30/msg
Stereo Bluetooth Headsets - $79

Couple of Questions - Upgrading to Nokia E71

Hey AT&T dudes and dudettes,

I've been using my unlocked Nokia 6300 on the AT&T network for the past several months. I just received my new Nokia E71 and plan to start using it this weekend.

- Since the E71 is a 3G phone, do I need to replace my old SIM card with a new one, or will my old SIM card suffice? (FYI it's a Cingular-branded SIM card that's a few years old.) I've never owned a 3G phone before, so I wasn't sure about whether 3G phones use a different type of SIM card.

- I pay $15.00 per month for the Data Unlimited plan. Can I continue to use this with the E71, or will I be forced to pay $30/month since the E71 is a PDA-type/smart phone?

Thanks in advance for your assistance! 🙂

Nokia E-71

I see some reviews say this is a "non-smart phone"...my question is....will this be on the $15 data plan or have to be on the $30 PDA data plan?

So what is the deal with ATT & Texas?

So I've seen quite a few posts about bad service from ATT in Texas. And here would be another example and the posts that follow this article don't hold anything back.

So what is the deal, I mean Texas is pretty much flat. Seems pretty easy for a cellular carrier to...cover.

Question about all the VZW fans apparently present in the att forum

If Verizon truly has unlimited roaming and really doesn't care if you do it all the time, why don't they just start service for everyone no matter where they live in the U.S.? I'm in Lubbock Tx, they don't have towers here so I'd be on their partner coverage, domestically roaming, but since they have unlimited roaming and don't care that shouldn't be a problem right? Oh, they don't do that though, because they do care if you roam, and they care how much you do it. So don't say they have unlimited roaming when they very clearly don't.

Another Good Reason Why "Unlimited Roaming" Is A Fallacy

Because if roaming REALLY didn't impact Verizon like the fanboys claim, they would let their customers roam off of domestic GSM networks as well as CDMA. At least three of their new dual mode world phones have cellular and PCS GSM capabilities. Verizon once had tons of roaming agreements with AT&T back in the analog days, so how easy would it be to hook up their world phones to their GSM network and merely forge agreements in the few places here and there that the two companies don't overlap?

Since doing that would put VZW over the top in every coverage category, one must ask the question, "why don't they do it?" Simple. It's the money, stupid! Verizon must, like any other wireless company, pick and choose what areas are most needful to c...

SIM Cards

Dear at&t customer service reps....

When a customer needs a new SIM card, please check to see if the neighborhhod store is a corporate store. If it is not, please find one or offer to mail one out.

I do not give free SIM cards, I will charge the customer $25 and call you to make a bill credit.

This does not provide a good customer expirence.

Love,

Will

New Phone

I am looking to get a new phone. Currently I have an 3g Iphone. The biggest mistake ever. This phone is a waste of money.

I would like some input into what my next phone should be. I will be getting an unlocked phone from either ebay or online somewhere. Depending on the phone I get. I was looking at a few phones. Here is a few of them:

Nokia N95 - not sure what model I want if I goes this route.
BB Storm - I kind of like the touch screen on this one.
HTC G1 - I really want this one. But not being able to use 3G kind of turns me away.

If there is a phone that someone recommends please let me know. I am really looking this time.

I don't have to have a touch screen, but it would be nice. Other then that I just want ...
