in January my wife wanted to get a new phone. she was not eligble until march of this year. she wanted the i-phone. in order for her to get it, we added a new line to our family plan. and then transfered her line to the i-phone. i was told then, in march we could use her upgrade for my line if i wanted it. today i went in to get the upgrade and now am told the renewed her contract and have to wait for 18 months before eligble for upgrade ☹️ . my question is am i just screwed or is there a way to get this resolved and just use the upgrade now as i was told from the sales rep..

Question for you all. I thought I remember seeing a post on phonescoop forever ago that AT&T was going to get something like the tmobile $10 home phone. Anyone remember that or have any info on it? I just moved and my new house has crappy reception, but I don't want to switch from AT&T. I don't want to get an landline, so that would be awesome if AT&T offered what I'm looking for. Any help?

I just read a couple of article and discussion threads on how they renamed the n75 the tab top...Its an upgrade to firmware a new menu of some sort and stereo bluetooth...Does anybody know how to get this upgrade?

I am thinking of switching to AT&T from Verizon, I currently use a BB and was tempted to go to Iphone. My main concern is coverage throughout Suffolk county, could anyone help with specific locations on long island and maybe dead spots (which I know exist with every carrier). I know AT&T is not the same carrier it was 6 yrs ago, but I need some input from current AT&T customers who were formerly Verizon customers at this location. Thanks.

Anyone know if there is an additional charge on top of the Media or PDA connect if you are pairing your device via bluetooth to another hand held device like a palm or Itouch once 3.0 is released? I'd hope it doesn't require the laptop connect...

I got another Bold and this one is also switching to edge.
My question is. Could this be why at&t is allocating GSM? To make sure us on 3g get a stronger signal, preventing us to fall back on edge9
How could I find out if my market (Tampa Bay) has been allocated already?
Or could my issue be somehow related to the convertion Telegence is the whole state of Fl?

I've had the Bold for a couple months and love the phone, however it drops calls when switching from 3g to edge or the other one. It is a known issue and with the Iphone you can disable the 3g, which helps solve the dropped call issue a great deal. However I can't disable 3g on the Bold, but I have somebody who will unlock and unbrand, which will enable me to switch the 3g off. This sounds like a great idea, but I'm not familiar with this process. I trust the person and he guarentees it. Does this sound like a good idea until AT&T fixes the issue?

I hope someone can help me with this. I have the first blackjack that I am using while I am waiting to get my iphone back from repairs. It will not charge with the home charger or the car charger and will only charge with the USB cable. I bought a brand new car charger to make sure it was not due to old chargers and it does not work. The light on the charger comes on but as soon as I plug the phone it the light on the charger turns off. I have even restored my phone to factory. Anyone have any idea? I have heard issues with the USB canle not working due to how the usb connection was but I have not heard of any issues with the home or car charger.

Ok, I want the iPhone - just because I do. My concern is the hoopla over dropped calls (since I do not get any with Verizon).

Can anyone tell me their experiences with ATT service/dropped calls in the Chicago western burbs? I live in 60148 area. I live in an apartment high rise, always have coverage within the building. Work in a hospital and always have coverage within the building - yes great coverage.

My concern is the complaints I have read about that talk about the service of ATT. I know Verizon is the best with coverage, but I got the itch for an iPhone.
