Switching from Tmobile??

I live in Davis, CA and am thinking of switching from Tmobile to Cingular. Honestly I haven't heard many good things about Cingular's reception and having network overloads(Consumer Reports). On Tmobile the circuit never get overloaded(at least when I've gone places). I was just wondering how bad it is? I'm an SBC costumer and therefore can get a discount off my cingular bill. I figured, that compared to Tmobile, cingular might not be so bad. Is it true? Thanks for your help.

Nokia 6820, will cingular carry it anytime soon?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has any inside info on the future nokia phones that we will be carrying. I'm particularly interested in the 6820 by Nokia. AT&T currently carries it, is it safe to assume that we will by the end of the merger????

I could use some help, please....

I will be moving to the Long Island, New york area in a month. And my CDMA contract will be up by then. Can anyone tell me if Cingular works in this area(L.I.,N.Y)and if it does, how is the quality of the calls?
I was reading consumer reports mag, and Cingular wasn't even shown to be available in this area.
I would appreciate any help from people who actualy use their phones in this area.
Thank you for your time

media packages

on the website it says media ends on 7/11/04. does that mean that new media plans are coming out or is media over??? media works is a very good plan and it is competitive with sprints vision. verizon get that now!!! if they would change it 500 mms and unlimited sms it would be perfect. cingular will soon have the best plans in the industry. so what is going to happen to media on 7/11???

How can I tell if used Cingular phone will work on my plan?

I'm in central IL, have a Cingular TDMA plan. (Phone is an Ericsson KH668 -- yeah, old.)

I dropped my phone in the water, but it all still works except the display screen.

Looking to keep my Cingular service, but don't want to change to a more expensive plan or sign a new contract or buy an expensive new phone. I only need voice mail.

Here's my question, then: I want to buy a used Cingular phone off ebay (or wherever), but am not sure if it will WORK on my current TDMA plan. I've gotten conflicting replies from Cingular customer service. One told me as long as it's Cingular and TDMA, that's enough. Another told me it has have been sold in/for my geographic area.

So what's correct?

Also, I'm seeing on here threads abo...

Edge/GPRS

Ok I understand the basic concept of EDGE technology but how do you utilize this. What kind of plans are offered. Do I have to get a plan to use this or any hardware. If someone could fully explain this it would be great. Thank you.

Push to talk

FYI. I saw in some release notes for our software Push to talk to set for some time around July 19th. I know some people have been asking about it. This is what I got from our release notes. Also I am not sure but I think the first phone will be a Siemeans ( i am not sure how to spell it) I think that is what I saw for the first phone but i could be wrong, since i am not looking at the release notes right now.
