The New ATnT Wireless

Nov 21, 2008, 10:11 PM

I got the Pantech Slate!

What I love about it:

It looks like a smart phone, does some of the basic things I like in a smartphone, but without the cons of a smartphone!

The screen on this phone is A-May-zing! I put all my wallpapers on it and they look so good! Plus the phone gets a good signal too. I am really well pleased with this phone!

Upgrading

I imagine some will think this is a ridiculous question, but I just don't know... If I upgrade to a fancier phone in a few months, will I get to keep the old one, or do I have to turn it in? I would like to keep it for a "spare". Thanks for any information.

Bold, Eternity, Fuze first impressions

Played with them in the store yesterday the Bold was very nice would have been even nicer with touch (aka the verizon). The eternity was cool with the haptic feedback although I wasn't too keen on the UI. Both had excellent cameras. The Bolds keyboard was nice while the eternity virtual keyboard was nice in landscape mode. Which ponders a question why the I phone can't offer a portrait vs landscape keyboard like the Eternity. As for the Fuze it weighed a little shy of a half a ton LOL and would make a great weapon! The touch requires alot of pressure to respond unless using the stylus. The keyboard is toooooooooo small in portrait mode even with the stylus. One near feature was the handwriting to text but how often would you use since there...

Grr i'm getting so mad!

ok, i carry the blackberry curve 8310. Can someone please tell me why it keeps deleting all of my messages? It does it like twice a day! Our RAE came and did a phone visit the other day and I was telling him about that, and said "well your phone is trying to make more memory because you probably have to much stuff on your phone" well i deleted opera, windows live search, all my music and pictures are on my memory card, i mean I dont have anything extra on this phone. I mean I know phones, I can sell them, but I can't figure out what the issue is. Everyone I work with never seems to help me out, they just say "oh its a blackberry" It all of a sudden started to happen this week. Can anyone help me out? If its actually the phone, or if its jus...

Need Help!!!

I was wondering if any of you would know if the Bold is capable of running A VPN? More specifically VNC! This is so i can access my network for work. If the BB Bold can do this then I will definitely pick one up. But, if it doesn't, I will have to go with a win mobile phone like the HTC Fuze. So make my day and give me some good news!!!

Switching to AT&T

I am thinking about switching over to AT&T. My question is about the first bill. I believe that AT&T bills in advance so I want to get an idea what the first bill might look like. I was going to get the $69.99 family plan with the $5 text message plan for both. I know there will be activation fees for both lines as well. Can someone who is familiar with AT&T do the math and figure what the first bill might look like. My guess is:

calling plan: $69.99
text plan (for both phones): $10
activation fees: ???
prorate for first month: ???

I'm porting from T-Mobile Soon....Would like advice on phone to get? Replies appreciated.

This Black Friday, I am actually going to port my numbers from my current Service Carrier (T-Mobile and their horrific Pink Colors) to the Blue and Orange at AT&T, land of more than 72 million (and counting) customers. (Who knows? with me and my wife's line that could be 72,xxx,002, 🤣 .)

As far as phones, I like the phones similar to the Quickfire and LG VU CU920. I am wondering if there are anyother deals or new releases upcoming to consider. And before anyone goes there, I'm not likely to consider the iPhone 3G, Thank you very much.

My experiences with T-Mobile as of late - I have the G1 on a buyer's remorse as part of my upgrade. Horrible phone! The firmware is not up to date and there is no update in sight coming to my pho...

Unlocked IPhone

I have AT&T and I am currently without a contract. I really want an IPhone but I don't want to pay for a data package, so I was thinking about buying an unlocked one through Ebay. A very honest potential seller told me that if I was to buy an unlocked IPhone, after 30 days of using it, AT&T would somehow see it on my account that I am using an IPhone and automatically start charging me the extra costs. Can anybody tell me if this is true? Thanks for all your help in advance.

ATT's in building 3G coverage

Man, what's up with ATT's in building 3G coverage?
I normally work in a big aluminum building and 3G coverage is fine. But I've spent the last week in an all concrete building and my 3G indicator is all over the place.
It even dropped down to GPRS once today when I got one of those mystery voicemails. You know, your phone never rang but all of a sudden it's telling you that you've got a voicemail. Witch means whoever called you went straight to voicemail because the network thought you were out of coverage.
I guess if lower frequencies penetrate buildings better WiDEN would be top dog.

Lowest price on Fuze

What's the lowest everybody has seen for the fuze. (New or upgrade price)

I've found it for free after a $100.00 rebate on walmart.com, but has anyone seen it cheaper at pricepoint?
