Auction 66 - What are your thoughts - Winners/Losers?

With Auction 66 basically over, who do you think were the winners and losers? Who do you think over paid or got the best deal? Who is going to benefit from the spectrum they won the most?

That doesn't mean just because TMO acquired allot of spectrum they were the winner nor does it mean Spectrumco spent allot of money they are the winner. Who got the most bang for their buck? I have my opion but lets see what other in the industry think.

I will be posting this in other company forums. That way the trolls can give us their rediculous takes multiple times.

I saw a link the other day that showed what smaller companies were bidding for larger companies. Does anyone have this info?

Have fun!

T-Mobile Strore Emps. on their HIGH HORSE

Whats the deal with these know it all smart a** store clerks that work at T-Mobile Corp stores. Everytime they get a cool phone, especailly if it is a highly aticipated one, they talk to you like they are god or something.

I went by a store today to buy a charger at a corp. store and asked about the new blackberry. The guy with an attitude said that he has been playing with it for a couple of days and how great it is but refused to show it to me like it was some kind of national secret. I am not even interested in a blackberry, but wanted to take a look since everyone is talking about it. He tells me if i wanted one, I can come back on Monday and open a new line of service to get it. Apparently, the store manager is not going to release t...

New Phones Coming Out

Samsung sending out quite a few new phones:

Samsung t619: Silver/Black outside, all black inside. Talk time is going to be low (2.5 hrs), quad-band, 1.3 mega-pixel (getting to become common), 4X zoom camera/video... pretty much like the t609 just a better color.

Samsung t509-Plum: phone actually looks decent... same thing as the silver t509, but as I guy, I wouldn't rock the plum.

Samsung t629: A silver t809, don't see much improvement from the t809

Samsung t719: if you like the Blackberry functionality but want a flip phone, this is the phone for you! Has all the main features (1.3 mega-pixel, bluetooth, blah blah blah).

Coming from Winner's Circle (Samsung sponsored) I knew we were going to be coming out with quite a few of...

Signal Strength

Which current (and available) tmobile phones hold and pick up the best signal? I am a huge Nokia fan, but unfortunately, tmobile has a small (and bad) selection of Nokias. I haven't heard the best things about the Sidekick 3 or Pearl, in regards to RF. And have different responses in regards to the Samsung TRACE. All options and comments welcome...

For the people who work for Tmobile, what new phones are expected in the next couple months....

Thanks guys! 😁

People outside this industry...good news

Here is a great job opportunity for people that are employed outside the wireless industry.. If you want a better job, please apply at T-Mobile (50K a year according to this forum) or Verizon (almost 65K according to this forum). There are the requirements

MUST BE

1. Willing to take a great company like T-Mobile or Verizon to the Next level of success right now held back by morons working there.)

2. Must seriously care about your customers.
-2 rules of business..Take care of your customer...rule #2 See rule one or hit the door.

3. You must generally be happy with your life, so you are not bitter when you come to work and not try to rip off customers when they are the ones paying your salary. (if you think that the company you wo...

Testing Process for new phones...

Hi,

This may best be answered by those who work for the company...

Does anyone know anything about the testing process T-Mobile puts new phones through before release?

I am very interested in the soon to be released 6133 which was supposed to be the 6126 w/ Cingular. After several rounds of testing and sending the phone back to Nokia for fixes Cingular canceled the phone from its line-up last month 😒. Needless to say I am quite surprised to see T-Mobile releasing what is essentially the same phone just a few weeks after Cingular decided the phone had too many problems and canceled it from their line-up.

Blackberry Pearl 8100 Release Date

Ok, so due to my anticipation of this phone, yes I have a SK3 right now and love the track ball, but the phone really sucks.

Ok, sorry for the tangent. I just spoke with a rep from TMO who said the phone will be released on Sept. 12th. Woo Hooo.. I was orginally told the 6th. Oh well...

But hey just another week, till the phone to end all phones is release.

Could I be wrong? 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

Sad for those Cingular customers.

well i guess those independent researchers don't know what they are researching.....

"Despite Cingular’s multi-billion dollar network investments and its ad campaign about having the fewest dropped calls, the J.D. Power survey ranked the wireless operator at or below the industry average in call quality in all six U.S. regions. Sprint Nextel did slightly better, falling at or below the industry average in four regions and performing best in the Mid-Atlantic (second place) and West (fourth place) regions."

New Phone Advice (this is a little different folks)

Ok, so my contract expires the week after Thanksgiving, so any idea what sort of 3G-compatible Nokia handsets will be available say around the holidays? I hope to put off upgrading the phone until I can just get a 3G one to be prepared, as long as my 6101 works.

Congrats to T Mob!

I am a VZW "fanboy" but I have to admit, if you are in an area where T Mob has service, they seem to be pretty good. They have come a long way over the years, congrats guys, I think you are a force to be reckon with over the next 3-5 years

T Mob is doing everything right, as evident by the latest spectrum auction, they are aggresivily trying to improve their network.

Keep up the good work! 😁

T-Mobile Complaints

AH! To qualify myself as a valid T-Mobile complainer, I sold em, had em, and have seen the best and worst of em.

Plain and Simple: 2nd Rate Company. Prices are the best because they do not pay enough to employees, nor do they really take care of their customers.

Coverage:
Less than undesireable. I travel all over the United States, and I was only dissapointed with my service. If was to run into trouble, I know that I couldnt count on my T-MOBILE phone.

Phones:
Not too bad actually, a little slow on picking up the newest and hottest. Sidekick was a great idea if it would work the way it was suppose to.

Prices:
The best. Although a smart consumer knows that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. In this case, too good...
