Calling all dealers to stand up to T-Mobile

Since March of 2004 T-Mobile has systematically reduced our gross profit and is not providing a profitable business model to sell their products.

Post paid activations are down 25% nationwide.

Prepaid activations are up 346% nationwide.

T-Mobile sold more post paid activations in 2004 compared to 2005.

In 2004 $39.99 plan was 56% of our business. Now family plans are 52% of our business and the $39.99 is only 18%. The change in what we sell is a negative 8.2% Gross Profit.

Only 20% of all credit applications qualify for a plan.

32% are smart access and 48% are deposit customers.

Corporate stores sell 4 upgrades to every 1 new activation.

IT IS TIME FOR THE ENTIRE INDIRECT CHANNEL TO STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES AND TELL T...

SK3 in March

Let me tell you guys a secret. I work in T-mobile dealership and Rep came by one day with a delivery. The delivery isn't important but I asked her whether or not the Sidekick 3 was a rumor or not. Obviously it's not. Then i asked her when they're planning on coming out with it. She told me sometime in March! Now I don't know whether her words have any credibility but my boss said the same thing. So if you guys see the SK3 coming out in March all I can say is "I told you so".. 🙂

Motorola V360

hello all, I recently purchased a moto v360 and have a couple questions about it...

is there a way to make the phone not beep when the battery is low other than putting the phone on silent?

2nd question.

is there a way to put separate ringtones for each contact without it playing the same tone when they call you as when they text you...

thanx in advance

The Controversial Wireless Spokesman

The following topic is one of much controversy among wireless carriers and needs to be addressed immediately.

The fact is Catherin Zeta Jones is hot, and that alone should be reason enough for one to join T-mobile.

I give it to Cingular for trying to accomodate liberal America with their uni-sex cartoon figure, but it's got nothing on Catherine.

Verizon's "Can you hear me know" guy is lame, going bald, and has an annoying voice. When I watch him it does not make me want to join "in" in fact it makes me want to run "out"

No mention necessary with Sprint/Nextel.

So in conclusion, while everybody is fighting over coverage, customer service and hot features, I invite all to join T-mobile for one reason only. Catherin Zeta Jones....

Nokia 6103

One of the trainers in my call center is currently testing out the 6103 Nokia. Which for those of you who don't know what the diff between a 6101 and a 6103 is...the diff is bluetooth. I believe we will be launching in the next 3 mo. Anyone have any additional updates? 😁

Is T-Mobile's coverage that bad?

Hey right now i have Cingular and i've been debating which carrier i should go with when my contracts ends.Verizon because I know it will work in my house. T-Mobile because it has the best plans, and i HATE having no unlimited messaging on Cingular. And T-Mobile has the best customer service. But then again people tell me about how bad T-Mobile coverage. Is it really THAT bad? I live in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. I also like that T-Mobile will be rolling out UMA so i can get coverage in my hosue. So the next carrier i go with just might be T-Mobile. Just give me your thoughts
thanks

Full year 2005 for Tmobile USA

T-mobile did quite well, however, they were last out of the other 3 carriers by signing up a total 4.4 million subscribers to start the year in 2005.

Let us hope that in 2006 they will successfuly get some 3g spectrum that will be auctioned in June of 2006 so that they will be able to compete with their 3 other competitors in a better fashion.

Great year for the wireless industry as a whole and T-mobile is in a good position to do well in 2006, expand their customer base, and perhaps to better then their 4.4 million net adds in 2005.

MDA or SDA? I can't decide!!

I want one but I can't decide which. I read review after review and it seems to be about even. Downsides like no keyboard for messaging rule out the SDA but the size of the MDA is a big downer for me too. What should I do! 😢

Question about upcoming Nokia phones

Does anyone know if T-Mobile is planning on getting ANY Nokia slider phones in the future? Almost all of the upcoming models seem to be flip. If anyone has an answer to this I would greatly appreciate it. I know that they carry two slider phones from Samsung but I've had bad luck with that brand in the past. Thank you in advance for any info!

SAMSUNG E315

Quick question...I have had this phone for a long time and it's been...alright. I have taken quite a few pictures on it but now the phone seems like it's dying (display takes longer to come up, keys havee slow response time, can barely hear people when they call). Is there a way to get these pictures off of the phone and onto, say a PC. I tried sending them to my e-mail but the phone just comes back with a failed message. Just wondering what I can do, thanks!

Weighing my options

All I have lost my nokia 3660, and was wondering if anyone knows what type of phone would be offered as a replacement with insurance? If I don't like what is offered I can always go purchase one of the T-Mo to go phones.

Is the MDA for me?

I heard about the MDA last November when I was prepared to upgrade my Blackberry 7230 to the 7290. My t-moble rep told me that it would put my Blackberry to "shame" and that I should wait until its release in 1st Quarter 06 to upgrade.

I read up about the phone here and thought it sounded great (being the gadget-head I am), but now that the date has arrived, I'm having second thoughts.

I really do not want a phone with a camera, b/c I'm in court a lot and they don't allow camera phones. The key feature of my Blackberry is phone, instant e-mail receipt, memo pad for recording ideas on the fly and the calander to keep track of appointments which I sync daily to my laptop. I need bluetooth so that I can finally use a wireless headset and ...
