Nokia 6101

It is about time T-Mobile gave this phone away. The construction and quality of workmanship is awful on this model. Shame on T-Mobile and Nokia selling this model to their clients. Functionality is good, software good, reception good, construction and quality very chintzy.

Two Year Agreements coming for new customers

Well, it was nice while it lasted, but reliable sources have it that come March, T-Mobile will begin offering two year agreements to new customers.

I wasn't able to deduce whether the one year will still be a choice (with a higher priced phone, no doubt) or if you will be forced into a two year.

Seems like T-Mobile is finally ready to start playing with the big boys...and leaving customers in the dust 😡

T-mobile Compensation

Anyone here in the position to know if any compensation changes are in the works. I am an Agent and I just cannot afford to continue to sell the product. By the time I take the loss on the equipment I am netting like $120.00 an activation. If you do 60 activations a month that is $7200.00. By the time you pay rent $1800 = $5400.00 = 1 full timer & 1 part timer $3000 = $2400, electric $200 = $2200.00, phone $300.00 = $1900.00 - I still have internet, business insurance and other expenses. It just doesnt add up.

Hi I'm new and have some questions

🙂
hi all,
I'm currently a Verizon subscriber (4 years)
thinking of switching between either T-Mobile or Cingular.
I'm thinking of starting out with T-mobile (1 year commitment) and a free phone via Amazon. Down the road I plan to purchase a Treo 650 (unlocked) to use with T-Mobile. Here comes the Cingular tie-in....
I haven't been able to find the Unlimited Internet for $20.00 with a plan 39.99 or higher anywhere on their site. I called and the girl that helped me said the Treo isn't capable of viewing the internet only their Sidekick can do that. They have some kind of "limited internet" for 5.95/7.95 something like that. I want to be able to not only check my e-mail but surf the internet from time to time.
Cingular has some unlimit...

Treo 650/Mac/tMobile

Before anyone says it, I know that this question belongs in the "manufacturers" forum, but I did post it there and drew no replies which is why I am trying here.

Has anyone used a GSM Treo 650 with tMobile and a MAC? If so, any opinions or info that you can share would be much appreciated.

I realize that the 650 is not native to tMobile but that I could get one flashed for use with them.

I currently use a Blackberry with my MAC and PocketMac software to sync my address book, iCal and Notes. This works well, but, with the possible shut down of Blackberry, plus the limitations of Blackberry's PDA functions, it makes me curious to see what else is available.

Thanks, Scott

1 year Razr Upgrade

I called T-mo to see about getting information on a 1 year upgrade to a Razr phone. The person on the line informed me that they no longer allow 1 yr upgrades.

I tried to tell them that I was under the impression that they still did but just not via the website.

I really don't want to do a 2 year contract, simply for the reason that I am likely moving out of the country in that time period and don't want to have to pay a fortune to buy out my contract.

So, does anyone know if T-mo is in fact still allowing 1 year upgrades, and if so what the price for a 1 year upgrade on the Razr is?

raw price of MDA and SDA?

since I'm gonna get SDA or MDA once I go back to states, and I'd prefer to upgrade without touching the contract, then I'd like to know the raw price of both

Smartphone

I am a current T-Mobile customer. I am looking to upgrade my Motorola V300. I am looking at many smartphones. I am also open to really good phones that don't have to be a smartphone. I would like to know what GSM phones are really good that I could possibly get unlocked on ebay for under $250.

T-Mobile USA's Customer Base Grows 25% in 2005

January 26, 2006

T-Mobile USA is the latest U.S. mobile operator to report soaring subscriber growth levels in 2005. Over the course of the year, it added 4.4 million customers to reach 27.1 million. In the fourth quarter of 2005, the operator recorded 1.39 million net additions, up from 1.06 million the previous quarter. At the end of 2005, 88.6% of T-Mobile USA's customer base were contract subscriptions, compared to 85% at the end of 2004. It also had 1,091,000 converged device users, consisting of 724,000 BlackBerry and 367,000 T-Mobile Sidekick users, at year-end 2005.

Significance: While T-Mobile USA has reported rapid growth, it is still small compared to its main rivals, Cingular Wireless (54.1 million at end-2005), Verizon Wi...

IDENTITY THEFT SCAM ALERT

Dear all:

A friend of mine recently recieved a call on his T-Mobile phone from someone claiming to be from T-Mobile. My friend posted what happened on his livejournal:

"I just got a call on my cell phone from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile and claiming to offer me a rebate. Being the suspicious person that I am, I noticed that something didn't sound quite right about the situation. He asked for my name and social security #, which I did not give. I pressed the caller for information (ie his supervisor's name, and how he had my address), and he hung up, knowing that the scam was up.

So if you're a T-Mobile customer and get a call from an unidentified number from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile, hang up on them, or bette...
