Nokia 3220 T-Mobile discontinued?

I was on T-Mobile.Com and saw that they no longer had the phone on there. I don't get why they would discontinue it, such a great phone. T-Mobile NEEDS to discontinue the Nokia 6010. Crappy phone, I had myself once, and hated it.

T-Mobile and AMP'd rumor....

So, yesterday as I was having my Verizon phone looked at by a technician I had some time to kill (45 minutes) so I decided to take a walk in the mall and look at the competition, i.e. cingular and T-mobile, both of which I am interested in joining for reasons I will not go into at this point. However, the lady at the T-mobile kiosk and I got into a lengthy discussion, it began discussing things that T-mobile and cingular customers can do with their phones, i.e. unlocking them to gain more features (can't do that with Verizon) and then about the advantages of traveling abroad and still being on the network, ultimately we came to the issue of buying out contracts. I was mentioning how it would be a good policy for T-mobile to do such things ...

Three times in a row..!

and i quote" Congratulations for the third time in a row! That's right, according J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Wireless Customer Care Performance Study - Volume 1, our customers have without a doubt named you as #1.
With a significant lead over our competitors (T-Mobile: 108, Alltel and Verizon: 104) and an amazing nine point lead from the Industry Average (99), it is clear that customers are noticing that we do things differently at T-Mobile. "
haha.. who cares if we dont have nearly as many subscribers.. At least ours have less to gripe about.. 😁

Sidekick & coverage questions...

I'm currently a VZW customer, but considering T-Mobile due to recent promotion of 1500 anytime min w/unlim. nights/weekends for $49.99. My current VZW plan I'm paying $39.99 for 450 peak. I could up my VZW to $59.99 for 900, but T-Mobile plan is still better. Questions...How is coverage now in the S.F./Bay Area? Have they added roaming onto 850 in CA. yet? I currently live in Oakland, CA. and tried T-Mobile about a year or more ago and could barely get 1-bar in my apt. I know that a friend who's on Cingular gets full bars in my apt, so would my T-Mobile phone automatically go over to 850 if it was the stronger signal? Anybody in my area that has T-Mobile I would appreciate any input! Also, like the idea of the Sidekick in regards t...

Will I get a better price on a new phone if I cancel service for 30 days? 60? 90?

I have a Sidekick II.

I have the chance to use another PDA phone on Cingular for a few months.

I'm debating whether to discontinue T-Mobile service, or keep my data-only plan, in case Danger offers us a special deal on the Sidekick III in a couple of months.

But traditionally, hasn't T-Mobile offered better prices to new customers than upgrade customers?

(I'm long past my contract.)

How long do you have to be without service to be considered a new customer?

What would you do?

T-Mobile releases its 4th quarter 2005 earnings

Looks like T-Mobile USA did quite well again during this 4th quarter 2005 because they signed up 1.4 million net new subscribers.

The following are the highlights for the quarter:

1.4 million Net new subscribers
Direct new net= 911,000
Prepaid/wholesale= 489,000
Churn= 2.3%
ARPU= (I actually could not find this number. When I am able to find it, I will post it)

Total subscribers= 21.7 million

This year in 2005, they signed up 4.4 million and in 2004, they signed up 4.2 million, which shows very good growth.

Pretty good year and quarter for T-mobile USA I think, they will be a great competitor in this industry once they successfully bid for the 3g spectrum in the June of this year and other auctions that will arise.

RIMM'S SLIM HOPES!!! Please Read and provide feedback...

😳 I am sure you all may have run across these few news articles earlier at some point. At any rate, please read (ore-read as applicable) and let me in on what you all out there think of the slim chances that RIMM BB will survive throughout this whole catastrophe.

🙄 I am beginning to think that RIMM's alternative technology will be known as the Blackenedberry after the outcome of this case (particularly if they do not release on time to save their tails).

forcing tmobile razr onto cingular network??

i have sprint and have always had coverage issues in my house and i want to switch to a gsm phone. so i got a tmobile and cingular razr to compare the service. the tmobile is an improvement in my house but the signal still seems weak overall. when a call goes thru, the bars seem to go up and i was able to make calls downstairs without the call dropping. very pleased with that. now the cingular razr seems to have better signal. in my room it gives me 1-4 bars. the tmobile gives me 0-2 bars. so i messed with the network settings on the tmobile phone and it shows me 2 cingular networks (i assume they r 2 towers and show me a number for each) but the signal doesnt match the cingular phone. shouldnt they? i cant tell what the cingular phone is c...

T-Mobile service area

I am looking to make a switch from VZW to T-Mobile, Can somebody provide a little guidance on how the service works in the southeast(Florida,Al,Ms,N.Carolina,Tennessee, Georgia I also travel to Puerto Rico)
I reviewed there on line service chart, but that give an extremely broad range of service, Plus it looks as if some of the area is roaming?
Any help would be appreciated.

Verizon Wireless or T-Mobile? Help me choose.

I am switching from Nextel to either Verizon Wireless or T-Mobile and I need help in deciding which way to go. I may post this on the Verizon forum to get their point of view also.

Searching posts this is what I have seen so far:

Verizon Wireless:
Better network coverage
can't work overseas
crappy customer service

T-Mobile:
Decent coverage
Works overseas
Great customer service
Great pricing plans for individuals

I have noticed that in the Northern VA area the family plans are about $10 more with Verizon Wireless but still very close.

My parents use T-Mobile, most of my friends use Verizon Wireless. I don't talk to either that much so it is pretty much a wash.

I am trying to decide if I just want a phone (the RAZR...

Thinking of switching to T-Mobile...

I have a few questions if anyway can answer:

1) Does T-Mobile have a money back guarentee/trial period, like Cingular and Sprint?

2) Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive prepaid phone to try before I switch my number over?

3) What is T-Mobile's 3G upgrade plan?

Thanks!
