T-Mobile's Responce to the RIM (Blackberry) case!

T-Mobile Message to BlackBerry Customers
on RIM Announcement of Contingency Software Update

February 9, 2006

Dear Valued T-Mobile BlackBerry Customer:

Some of you have asked us about the patent litigation between Research In Motion Limited® (RIM®), manufacturer of BlackBerry devices and enabler of BlackBerry services, and NTP, and how it may affect you. In the lawsuit, NTP claims that RIM’s BlackBerry e-email system infringes various NTP patents, and NTP is seeking a court order that would prevent continued operation of certain aspects of RIM’s BlackBerry service in its current design.

RIM has announced it has designed and tested a software update that would allow its partners and customers to conti

Need Help With My Employee Plan!!!

I just ordered the SDA yesterday and I'm trying to figure out an employee plan to go with it. I'm only using it for data (use the web on the phone and maybe as a wireless modem.) I'm a RSA in Houston if that helps. Thanks in advance for any help.

Info on the T-809

I personally work for cingular and my girlfriend works for T-Mobile. She won a free T-809 and is giving it to me. I was gonna port my number over and use one of her employee plans for a few months till some cooler phones came out for cingular then probably port my number back to my cingular employee plan.

I am looking for any info that people have on this phone either from working at T-Mobile or from owning it personally. Things you like or dislike. I have read the In depth review from phone scoop and I know all the specs for it but im looking for input from people that have had it or been handling it for awhile. How's the functionality? How's the camera since it doesnt have flash? Does it wear quickly? does the slide start getting stiff ...

New Phone?

I'm eligible for a phone upgrade on 2/20 and don't know what phone to grab--I want something cool that has lots of features (bluetooth is a necessity). The selection really seems to suck right now, but that may be just my opinion. I'm currently using a Nokia 3650 and a Motorola V600 neither of which I'm enamored with although I prefer Nokia to Motorola. Any ideas?

Upgrade Issues

I am very frustrated with upgrades lately, maybe someone can help. I can not upgrade for 1yr anymore online and It is frustrating to call T-Mo everytime I want to know the price of the phone with 1yr, the best part is they all ask me "you know you can do this online right?" and i keep giving them the same answer.
Anyway i called like 2nights ago and the price of the Sams t309 was $79.99 for one year, I call today and it is temprorarily unavailable for 1yr contracts. Huh????why???? This happened back in the day for me with the E335, it can not be offered as an upgrade but I see it everyday that it is available for new customers online. its an outdated phone, if you have it why discriminate betweem customers, just sell it and get r...

UMA Information

So back a few months ago I was getting wild rumors about TMo releasing UMA by Christmas. I heard this on these boards, and from multiple TMo employees more in the know than myself. Anyone heard anything else or anything solid?

It seems doubtful as the phones we know to be launching are not UMA and the manufacturers that have announced UMA are not normally TMo phones (ie LG). It'd be a boon for sales and coverage for this to happen. I'd love to see first to market on this.

For those not familiar, UMA is described fairly well in the glossary. Its an exciting technology allowing seamless use of WiFi for services on your cell phone. Think of it as having your very own "mini tower" in your home. Cool, huh? 😎

Voicemail Problem

I am using a recently purchased Motorola V635 and live in California, so I have access to the new voicemail system. Here's the problem: everytime I call my voicemail I receive a blank text message. In the 'from' field is a telephone symbol and @..then the time and date. Similarly, if someone leaves me a voicemail I get the same text message but no other notification. Any techies out there?

Enhanced Antennas

😁

RAZR vs BLADE...ha, you carrier reps crack me up. I had 2 carrier reps from 2 companies which I'll name nameless...oh who cares, it was Meatloaf and "kyle" and they were argueing over which phone was better, the RAZR or the Blade. Meatloaf said the RAZR was better because the bottom of the phone was an "enhanced antenna", which made it better...now, "kyle" said the blade was what motorola was trying to make, and the RAZR was garbage. The moral of the story is we give you carrier reps nicknames like Meatloaf....ha 🤣 anyways, thanks for all your support "kyle" and Meatloaf...

Pebl price

Why would anyone that wants this phone buy it from t-mobile? You can get an unlocked version in red or black for $20 cheaper than t-mobile offers it with a two year contract. See www.plemix.com
