'No one cares' about JD Power???

It's hilarious... over on the Verizon forum right now, a couple of Cingular guys are trashing JD Power and Consumer Reports, saying that no one 'cares' about them, they're biased, they're just like the Jerry Springer Show, etc. etc. just because they didn't give Cingular a good rating.

This is so silly to me. Just for ONCE, I'd like for someone to speak against their corporate self-interest. Like maybe a T-Mobile guy going "Yeah, JD Power and Consumer Reports sucks, I don't care that they gave us good ratings, I hate them!", or a Cingular or Sprint guy admitting "Yes, I go by JD Power and Consumer Reports myself, and it really hurts us when they don't give us good ratings. I wish our customer service and network would improve so that we c...

T-Mobile Tries to Make Its Case!

"Under assault by 3G and free Wi-Fi, the carrier says it still believes in its paid model.

By Matthew Maier, June 17, 2005
Once upon a time, the only Wi-Fi access available outside the comfort of your own home came with a price tag that could exceed $10 per hour. Over the past 18 months, however, coffee shops, bookstores, and other places where people like to lounge have begun to offer Wi-Fi Internet access for free; the hope is that customers will hang around longer and buy another book or cup o' joe. The question in many people's minds has been whether paid Wi-Fi could survive this onslaught. This week T-Mobile, operator of the world's largest network of hotspots, gave the wireless industry the first peek at an answer.

But it was o...

What is the best plan that T-Mobile has?

Ok, in your opinions, what T-Mobile plan is the best and why?

My lil answer: I think my favorite plan would be the Basic Plus because it is so cheap, (29.99 a month) and I get enough minutes each month without having to worry over whether or not I will use all of my minutes. My second favorite would be the Get More Plan (for a lot of talking) cuz it gives you 600 whenever minutes, and UnLimited n/w minutes as well.

What do you think? 😁

Roadside Assistance Discontinued (Effective 08/01/05)

I added Roadside Assistance to one of my lines on July 18, 2005. I never received a confirmation text message and when I checked my account online afterwards, I didn't see it listed and also the option to add it was no longer available. So I called Customer Service and I was told that it was added on my line, but if I remove it I can't get it again because it's no longer offered.

What's next? 😕

I think T-Mobile is updating thier site

T-Mobile's site is not working at this time today. I wanted to go and see if they added new phones, and everytime I click on anything I get an error message. I think their site is down because they may be adding a new phone or something!!! 😁

Here is a phone we have not seen in awhile for T-Mobile USA!:

I was reading in a forum about a phone coming back for the upgrade list. So, I go onto mytmobile.com, and what do you know. The Nokia 3660 is back on the T-Mobile upgrade list. For me they want $100, with or without a contract extension. I am gonna save my upgrade til something hot comes available.

Why 1800 Mhz and not 900?

I've been with TMobile for several years and I always thought its compatibility with worldwide GSM networks was a major advantage. In fact, I thought it was OK that TMobile only used 1900 here, so all standard tri-band phones (900/1800/1900) were good both in the US and everywhere else. This compatibility, as well as a close relation with the global TMobile system, has been a selling point for TMobile to people who travel, something that VZW or even Cingular could never match. Have you noticed how many celebrities use TMobile? Because they travel a lot! Seems like a good idea for a niche market. BTW, TMobile seemed to recognize that overseas 900 is the primary band since they offered dual-band 900/1900 phones (Samsungs, I think).

Ok, so n...

I know that this is an old issue but

I know that this is an old issue but is T-Mobile going to get bought out merge or anything. I know that there was an articale that T-Mobile wanted to sell T-Mobile USA and then on this fourm people said no it wasn't going to happen so I'm confused. I made a really big mistake switching over from VZW coverage wise it was a major downgrade. So whats up with this issue thanks.

Is it the phone or the network?

I have a question similar to spleisher's post...I have 2 T-Mobile Treo 600s on a family share plan, both are having service issues. I am also trying to determine whether the problem is the phones or the network.

Both phones are warranty replacements. I have owned them for about a year, the replacements are about four months old.

They both get audio distortion, especially when first accessing the network. You hear it whether the calls are cell to cell or cell to landline. Sometimes it is electronic noises, sometimes choppy voice.

We are also having increasingly frequent delays in receiving text messages...sometimes they come through right away, sometimes there can be a 20 minute delay, sometimes they may not arrive for a week.

Verify SSN

When you call in to customer service and verify your SSN with the automated system, why does the person ask you again to verify your information? What's the point in doing it using the automated way?

RAZR V3 and games

Just got the V3. Love it so far...except....On the T-mobile website, games are mentioned as a feature. The phone comes with 2 games, one in demo mode. However, you are unable to download any more games. Error message indicates that the phone is not supported. Upon calling customer service, I was told that that is correct, games are not currently supported but could not give me a timetable as to when or if they would be. Anybody else have this issue with the V3? Anybody know when games will be released or will I be stuck with just the 1 and 1/2 games the phone came with?
