i have been a tmobile customer for years now, but this is the first time i'm thinking about upgrading while under a family plan. if i upgrade and sign-up for another 12 months, how does that effect the other person on the plan? she's interested in taking my current phone, but i don't want her to lose out on having the option of upgrading to a new phone on a discount if that's what she would prefer.

I have a V330 and what problems does everyone have with these motorola chargers?

My friend has T-Mobile and would like to use an unlocked Sony T630.

Question: I've heard if he puts his sim card in the unlocked phone, voice services will be fine, but data (texts, specifically) won't work... is this true?

What are the downsides to using an unlocked phone? I understand that they won't be able to be serviced by T-Mobile, I'm more interested in functionality issues.

I'm going to be going to Austrailia in about 3 months and will be gone for 6 months. Since u can only suspend service for 90 days, is their any other way to not lose my service w/out switching to the $19.99 plan?

Just logged on the my-tmobile.com website and to my surprise, the Motorola V600 and the V180 are back on the UPGRADE list. The V600 price is crazy! They want $199.99 for the phone if you extend your contract. And $299.99 if you don't extend your contract.

The V180 is $49.99 with or without a contract extension.

how can i tell if my nokia 6010 supports the 850 band...i didnt think it did till i saw that under the tmobile expanding coverage faq it had the 6010 listed under 850 devices...i bought it on ebay about a month ago and it looks like it has been used for probably half a year...thanks

T-Mobile has now made it official with its 850MHz roaming agreements in the Minnesota area. There is 85% more coverage in this area thanks to the agreements.

I am having problems with this phone. I have an unlocked v551 that is working fine for phone calls and such with t-mobile. I have tried to download items on it and the phone shows i can't even though the phone is basically the same as the v330. I have changed my phone on my profile page and it is fine there but the v551 comes up with a error message that "though your phone may be capable of recieving ringtons and images. your phone is not currently supported. please try again later." Any help would be appreciated and feel free to email me here of off list. 😁

I wonder if anyone knows if T-Mobile is working on the software glitch on the V330 that deletes all shortcuts when the phone is powered off. The phone defaults back to the original setting everytime. Evidently it is a know issue with this phone. Anyone have an updated information?

I just got a Motorola V635 and it shows when the connection is EDGE. At home (N. Calif) I have such a connection and the browser is very fast. I have travelled to S. Calif. where I also received an EDGE signal in most places.
For those interested in buying an unlocked phone, the V635 is great: screen, camera, battery life....all superior to any Moto I've ever used.

I am a current T-Mobile subscriber and my contract ends in a couple of weeks. I called today to ask what they can give me if I renew.

I got a list of which phones they have and there are only 2 that vaguely appeal to me - E315 (which I hear is being discontinued) and 3220 which is a lesser phone than my current V300. I also could get a V330 but why pay 149 bucks to upgrade when the only *real* differences seem to be bluetooth and video recorder. ?

The E315 has no speakerphone (eek!) and the 3220 is a candybar which I haven't had in a long time so both of these make me wary...

Any advice on what to pick? Would I be better off keeping my V300 and picking something up later on Ebay? I want to change my plan immediately sinc...

old Powerstream customer from '96 here..(no my phone's not that old) I have a Nokia 3650 that's bit the dust (my fault) what's a new and exciting replacement? I need bluetooth and some pda facilities... What's the deal with unlocked phones.. will they work with my sim chip? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

So the current beef is with reps who apparently totally do NOT understand what backdating a rate plan entails. I got a customer who was on the 3000 min plan, had 25.00 or so in overage and the helpful rep says cool, let's put you on the 1000 N/W plan, that will fix it all up for you! Didn't bother to check the unbilled usage first, of course... didn't notice the customer had already used 3100 peak minutes... so when the rerate happened the customer was socked with about 1600 minutes of overage! 😳 Fortunately, it was a SmartAccess account so it suspended immediately, and also fortunately her bill cycle ends tonight so I was able to get her BACK onto her original rate plan with added OP, WK and M2M fea...
