What happens if i put a data plan on a blackberry? my friend tried it and it did work

Our contract will soon be up with alltel, whom i have quite frankly not been pleased with. I noticed that T-mobile is the least expensive overall of the service providers, and their selection of phones seems good. How is the service overall/What has your experience been with them?

I was speaking to a T-Mobile rep last Friday because my Wing was breaking down again. She told me that T-Mobile is testing a handset right now that she thinks is 10 times better than the iPhone...if it passes all the tests it should hit the market in late October?

Does anyone have any news around this? I've got to tell you the iPhone is sweet but I hate the idea of going to Cingular for a phone...

I have T-mobile service but I am thinking about moving away to certain phones that they dont sell like either the Motorola Q or the Nokia E61. I currently have the BB pearl. If I move to one of the other phones what kind of data plan should I get?

My icon on my Nokia 6263 went from G to 3G and now the internet is blazin fast. Finally...any other markets experiencing this?

I am thinking about switching to TMobile and have been reading the boards and I'm confused about Roaming.

I know TMobile has coverage issues but if roaming is free on national plans and at&t is the roaming network in PA then why would coverage be an issue? Surely between TMobile and at&t networks coverage would be acceptable.

Have you heard about this new feature for T-Mobile? They're working on it now, but it's video conference calling, basically. Cool concept. T-Mobile really trys to release features that are communication oriented, not "tv" or "music" store stuff.

I like that idea. I use an iPod for media, phone for communication. Makes sense.

I was wondering if there was a way that I can use my wing as a wireless modem to give my laptop internet access? I had thought I heard there was a way to do it but can't seem to find any details on it.

SO the edge network is still going up and down very sporadically for me for the past 5 days. It's gotten so bad and spread out here in chicago that most people that I know whom are non techies have been having difficulties with their service. It's mainly been data problems that we've been experieincing but we've also been experiencing problems making calls and sending/receiving sms messages. My mom, whom is the least tech savvy person I know was telling me how she was having problems with her nokia 6133. Any one else in chicago been having problems, or anywhere lese in the nation for that matter? WOuld you know if it's related to network equipment upgrades takign place, and or the testing of said netowrk/netowrk equipment?

I found out today that the sprint store that i work at is closing in about 30 days... it's dissapointing to say the least. today i went into a t-mobile store and spoke with the manager. he made a job there sound great and says that comission and benifits are awesome there. anybody know if that's true? please let me know

I understand the whole idea of the whole HTC touch is cool but from selling mobile phones for 4 years i know a little bit about them. I havent played with the touch models yet but Windows mobile phones are terrible, a couple of weeks back i saw a post on BGR about how windows phones had a breakout year with so many sold. Believe me i've sold a lot and a good majority of them come back returned, i also used one for awhile and i just didnt know what the fuss was about with the windows mobile phones.
Also i don't know why people compare blackberries to WM phones, blackberries are so much above WM.

T-Mobile USA has been introducing some Nokia phones that support the AWS bands (3G), but all these phones are flip-phones, and I personally love Nokia candybar (monoblock) phones.

* Will there be any Nokia candybar phones that support AWS (3g) network? Will there be any candybar Nokia S60 supporting AWS (eg: N78, E51, the rumored E71)?
