T-Mobile 3G network on in Chicago?

Is the 3G network up and running in Chicago? Well at least the voice portion, with the data portion still getting tinkered with? Reason I'm asking is because I've started noticing a new icon on the display of my 6263 the past couple of weeks that was not there before, and it pops up during my voice calls. But the speeds for my data connection have varied from lower edge speeds to barely gprs to gprs and back and forth.

data network in chicago

Are there any problems with the network in chicago? I'm having problems with my dash. It doesn't seem to be able to connect to the edge network, meaning I can't browse the internet. I've done everything I could to trouble shoot, but nothing's worked.

TMO coverage, please help

If you look at the coverage map for the entire country, it shows a lot of no service spots. For instance, parts of west central Illinois and north central west Wisconsin. Also there is a dead spot in Illinois between Rockford and Dubuque Iowa. When I spoke with a corporate store, he told me that all the dead spots with Tmo, you can roam with AT&T, for no charge. So is this true? If so the coverage, even with roaming looks very good...

Blackberry pearl 2, 8120!!

I know alot of people are anticipating this device, i get calls from people all the time asking when t-mo is gonna get it. Well the waiting is almost over! It is finally scheduled to launch on April 14th.So if your looking to buy the pearl, def wait for the new one!

updated specs are
- 2mp cam, up from 1.3
- wifi and uma for hs@home
- memory card slot is now on the side of the device for easy access.
- improved keyboard design & layout
- 4.5 os, with built in flash player and video recording.

It will initally launch in a silver color similar to the curve, but will eventually be available in black, red, and blue.

no current pricing avail in streamline though id imagine it will be somewhere around $250 on a 2 year.

New Phones?

I love tmobile but have to agree that their phone selection is lackluster. What is comming up for them besides the rokr e8? Im due for an upgrade in april. I really like the razr2 but the tmobile version is crippled in the menu and features. So which new phone is comming out thats worth my time?

I am sorry that I caused you all trouble. I think I really over did it, and I also posted too much information on myself on this site. Too many people know who Ramon P. Carroll III is and now I need to walk away while I can still breathe. Good bye all. Rich, and Eric, thank you for all you've done to keep phonescoop.com running. Thank you for listening to all of my suggestions, and for putting up with me and my shenanigans. Good luck!

Sincerely,

Nokia 6086 and Browsing

Just got the 6086 to try the @Home service. Works quite well. However, I'm trying to use the phone's browser and the message "Data you are sending will be redirected to another server. Continue?" keeps appearing and the web site doesn't come up. This does not happen on all sites.

Also, downloaded Opera Mini and get the message "Application access set to not allowed." Anyone got an idea for getting this browser working on a T-Mobile phone.

I've got T-Zones on my plan.

Thanks.

Tmobile Blackberry Curve discount

I am new here and hope this is the correct place to ask this. I was browsing phones on ebay and came accross someone selling a promotional discount code that will get you a Blackberry curve directly from Tmobile for only $99 after a rebate. They state it requires a one year activation, waived activation fee, & a free accessory(up to $50). I was a bit skeptical but they already have positive feedback stating it works. I was hoping someone here might be able to confirm that there actually is a promotional discount directly from Tmobile. Also how would someone go about finding out about this promotional discount to sell? Is it probably from a tmobile rep? Thanks for any response. (you can find it by searching: tmobile curve discount on ebay) D...
